There's pretty many of such games. I can recommend you a few ones:

    • Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy

    • Heavy Rain (ps3 only for now)

    • Beyond: Two Souls (the same as Heavy Rain)

    • Life is Strange

    • Until Dawn (ps4 only)

Nothing else comes to my mind.

  • I have just recalled two games:

    • Blues and Bullets

    • Dark Dreams Don't Die

    Check them out.

  • Final fantasy
    Chrono trigger
    Heavy rain
    Beyond two souls
    Until dawn
    Life is strange
    Grim fandango
    Fahrenheit

  • Life is Strange, Dreamfall Chapters, Until Dawn are all great.

  • Chrono trigger

Chrono Trigger is nothing like a Telltale Game. It's not even in the same genre.

Final fantasy Chrono trigger Heavy rain Beyond two souls Until dawn Life is strange Grim fandango Fahrenheit

  • Technically it is. You make choices, effects game

That's right I forgot about the multiple endings. I mean technically yeah your right.

  • Until Dawn has been all the talk of late, I've been a bit side-tracked with Metal Gear Solid V but I think I'll pick it up with Mario Maker next time I'm not poor.

  • if you have a ps3 Heavy rain or beyond: two souls are the best, Heavy rain is better than two souls

  • In those games choices actually matter though.

So they're not that similar to telltale games.

Fahrenheit offers 3 endings depending on final decisions, so previous choices doesn't affect the endings.

Beyond: Two Souls... this case is quite similar. Most of decisions doesn't have any impact on later game. There are exceptions, of course, but only 2-3 last hours of game do matter - in the end game has 24 endings.

I have to agree that decisions in Heavy Rain actually matter. But still it's interactive movie, just like TTG's games.

Life is Strange beats all TTG's games. I'm huge fan of TTG's work, but I must admit that Dontnod are much better at creating games like these. Of course, decisions matter, but still it all comes to one linear path. There are no alternatives depending on choices (for example - even if Frank gets away the gun from Max, Chloe gets a new one anyway).

Until Dawn... well, I haven't played it yet, so I won't write anything about it.

All of these games are created to be interactive movies/serials. That's what they have in common, so I am able to say they are similar in some way.

In those games choices actually matter though. So they're not that similar to telltale games.

    The new King's Quest.

It's closer to Back to the Future than Telltale's later games (lots of puzzle solving), but they put in some choice mechanics and action sequences like Telltale has as well.

Also, go play Telltale's earlier games, especially Sam & Max. Monkey Island is good as well, but its much better if you've played the earlier Monkey Island games made by Lucasarts. You can pretty much jump into Sam & Max knowing nothing. Although the original Lucasarts game is also worth playing.

  • -Life is Strange

    -Heavy Rain

    -The Indigo Prophecy

    -Until Dawn
