What are your opinions on Team Fortress 2

It's by far my favorite FPS game. I'd love to hear your guys opinions on the game.

  • I used to spend a lot of time in it but overtime it got kind of boring

    It's pretty good I guess.

  • it is a solid game, and (shortly after release) if was one of the best examples of a F2P game, however overtime it just got overloaded with junk and more of an example of what can be wrong with a F2P game eg. sacrificing well balanced, unique classes and tight gameplay for new and intere$ting weapons and gear.

honestly i don't even think they can release a team fortress 3, there would be no reason to, it wouldn't be new and interesting, and it wouln't please most people and probably wouldn't be played as much as TF2.

anyway i got my few hundred hours out of it and it was good, but now i am basically done with that game.

  • I LOVED that game, both on 360 and PC.

I think they should've stopped updating after the engineer update, but that's just me.

  • It's kewl, I'm gonna play it now for the hell of it.

  • I have 1300 plus hours :L

  • i would consider it a weird form of torture to have to play one game for that amount of hours, i need variety

  • It's a very fun game. I enjoyed it immensely for it's online play and gameplay. Graphics kinda irked me though

  • Hands down - Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite FPS games. It's ironic, as I only bought the game in 2008 (back before it was Free To Play) because I had also just recently bought Garry's Mod, and I wanted some models to use for that game since all the Half Life 2 assets pre-loaded with the game were mostly realistic - which wasn't a bad thing of course, but I had wanted some variety as well.

Later on, I ended up being hooked on TF2 to the point where I played it far more than GMod. Come to think of it, GMod didn't only lead to me finding out about TF2 but it even led to me finding out about Telltale Games - I downloaded Steam so I could play GMod in like 2007 or 2008 and around that same time, I saw the free episode of Sam and Max: Season 1 on Steam. Sorry for the tangent, I just thought that Butterfly Effect was interesting to point out. :P

  • Actually, the art style was a part of what attracted me towards the game. Most mature games with a cartoony art style do so only for that humorous juxtaposition of the art style being a contrast to the game's mature content, but it ultimately comes off as generic and uninspired once you get past the shock value. However, the retro sci-fi 50's War Propaganda art style actually fits Team Fortress 2's overall theme and story in an intelligent way, as opposed to other games which would just use a generic cartoon art style with lots of blood and gore for cheap laughs.

  • Say for yourself, I gotta run TF2 on Direct 8 to stop FPS issues

  • It's pretty good, for me it's tied up with CS: GO.

TF2 was great, emphasis on was, but then it went F2P and it just really wasn't the same.

  • I originality purchased it before it went F2P and i had lots of fun, i spent most of my time on one server which had a great community with mixed maps and game modes but after i while i got a bit bored and took a break, when i returned the server had shut down and there where no good replacements so i found it less enjoyable as there weren't many good games to play.

For a while i did spend time messing around in prophunt servers which was pretty fun but there where lots of kids using mics that could be slightly annoying and that also got boring after while so i stopped playing again, now i only occasionally play when there are interesting events like Halloween.

  • I love it and hold it as one of my favourite games of all time. I pray to lord Gaben everynight for its continued existance (I joke on that part).

    LONG LIVE THE POOTIS!!!!!!

  • Just like Dota 2. Great game, but absolutely HORRIBLE community.

  • I can barely go on trading servers anymore. SELLING CLEAN NON-DUPED UNUSUAL TYRANTS HELM EFFECT BURNING FLAMES FOR QUICKSELL OFFERS TRADE ME
