Gog sale and Game Recs
Gog.com is having a indie pinata game sale, it's probably for Cinco de Mayo or something, but I'm not sure if there's anything good. First of all, I already bought Neoscavenger, so that's probably all I'm going want to spend money one. (And it pisses me off, why do so many rogue-like games have to have such good gameplay when I fucking hate roguelikes...)
On that note, one of the real reasons I'm asking is there's a game called Deadnaut that looks really good. But it's from the makers of Zafehouse Diaries which is a really great game, but it's insanely hard. I looked up the instructions, it was just 1. Push play. 2. Grab ankles. - I was wondering if anybody had tried Deadnaut out and how it was, and if it was 'tear your hair out difficult.' Though given somebody posted "I play it when I want to feel better about how FTL is treating me." My guess is yes.
Anywho post your recommendations.
And yes, the Cinco de Mayo bit was a joke.

Anyone who likes story driven games should look into To The Moon. The only thing is that its pixel art. I enjoy that style, but I know its a turn off for many people.
The pinata thing is a no-go for me. I own a lot of games from other services (Humble and Steam), and I'm not interested in duplicates. Also, the idea of paying money for a mystery product is terrible. I've already got a bunch of unplayed games from bundles and whatnot. I don't have time to play every random game out there. I'll stick to the ones I know I'll be interested in.
I second this.
