HITMAN NEW ONE THREAD
So like hitman comes out in a few months, who else is excited? I personally didn't like Absolution, because of the horrible story, even though i did like the main evil villain. His voice actor was amazing. . As someone who has played all the original hitman games, the hitman doesn't care about anyone. It isn't in his nature, he is a freak. He has no emotions. Then to make him suddenly care about some girl he doesn't even know.
So like i said they came out with a new game.
Hopefully they can get it right this time. I hear original game company is now involved with the new one, so its going to be more like the originals, IE Blood money.
Hitman Blood money was my favorite hitman, i mean we are talking about a guy, who killed some innocent woman by setting her on fire just to obtain a necklace. He doesn't care about the value of human life. He is a hitman. Hopefully they will stop trying to make him human, because he is not. Anyone Else Agree/Disagree? Anyone else a fan.

Wasn't the reason behind him keeping the girl safe was because she was like him and didn't want her in the wrong hands? Not just cause "lol must protect kid".
Ehh I loved Absolution. I didn't like the game play as much as the others, but I loved the story.
As a fan of the original game, it just didn't really make much sense trying to give a heartless killer a heart. I don't understand why every game feels like they need to do this. The reason why HITMAN was special and unique was because he was a heartless person who kills people for money. We are talking about the same person who burned a woman to death just to get a secret necklace off her body. To have him suddenly have emotions in Absolution was stupid and pointless. The True Hitman probably would of killed the girl, and had not have another thought about it.
Because that is who he is.
I liked the bad guys, Dexter did a amazing job, whoever Voice acts that character is a great performer.
I liked the graphics, but i still won't be buying it, specially since they're trying to make this game episodic.
Did you see the movie back in 2007? I felt the same way about that film, the ending sucked. He doesn't care about people, it's out of character...
There's also a new movie, but I don't dare to watch it.
I'm a fan of the games too, but I haven't played Absolution yet, I need to do it before the new game comes out.
Clearly you are overlooking Father Vittorio.
I know what you mean, I remember him, but it was somehow different. It didn't felt odd like saving the girl (in the movie).
That, in regards to Nika in the film, I can agree on. I was under the impression that you agreed with CrazyGeorge on the matter of Victoria (which I do not).
No, I don't know about Victoria yet, it just sounded similar to the movie, but I really need to play the game now
So, you have yet to play Absolution?
Yep
Father Vittorio saved his life, and let him live there for a while, he was trying to be a good boy. The Victoria storyline was stupid.
You might remember his monologue from the end of Silent Assassin, where he speaks thusly:
"I Always knew I didn't belong in this world. I wasn't made for this. But I'll never forget- those who betrayed me, and those who never failed my trust. I'll be carrying nothing from Gontranno but this lesson: never trust anyone and rely on your instincts. Forget the past. I'll never find peace here. So, I'll seek justice for myself. I'll choose the truth I like."
It is not that he is without emotions, but that he has the ability to push past them when the time merits. He, as demonstrated with the confession at the beginning of Silent Assassin, hated himself for the contract killing he does. The only reason he does it it because he had decided that "I tried to retire and I only got dragged back in shortly thereafter. I shall continue contract killing because fuck it; that is what I was made to do and I do not think that I will be able to escape it anytime soon.", not because he wanted to.
The reason 47 decided to help Victoria and, by extension Diana were, in my eyes, as follows.
(The more obvious one) He could also have a sense of having a debt to Diana for the times she has saved his life (I'll never forget those who betrayed me, and those who never failed my trust), and thus decided to carry this task out for her.
The Agency (specifically Travis) had betrayed him and his trust (I'll never forget those who betrayed me, and those who never failed my trust.).
He decided that this could be an opportunity to do something in the general direction of "good" for once. He does have a sense of morality (as much is evident in Silent Assassin), He simply chooses to ignore it when it suits him. This would be an example of his compass at work. Which also brings me to the next point: He sympathises and empathises with Victoria, which hardly ever happened outside of those clones he fought in earlier games. He thus decides "She is like me, but still has an opportunity to not become a contract killer like me. All I have ever done is kill for money. Let us mix it up a bit and try doing it for something more morally founded" (I'll choose the truth I like).
So, you see. The Victoria storyline is not so idiotic when you proverbially do some dighing.
Personally, I did not mind the game (even though it was a step back from blood money, it was not a bad game). However, many feel that it was an abomination. So I would advise simply watching playthroughs on Youtube to save money. It is very cheap at the moment, being on the last generation and everything, so you could still buy it, but at your own risk.
Also, without spoiling too much. The circumstances concerning Nika and Victoria are very different.
Thanks, i'll give it a try.
He spared her life in absolution, fair trade.
He is a mutant that kills people for money. I think we will just have to agree to disagree on this one.
