I've been playing video games for almost all my life, so I have quite a few to choose from, but the best of the best would have to be:
PC - The Walking Dead, Dragon Age, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 1 - 2 - 3
PS2 - Silent HIll 2 - 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Manhunt
PS1 - Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, Fear Effect 1 - 2, Silent Hill, Valkyrie Profile, Resident Evil 1 - 3, Xenogears, Final Fantasy 7, Soul Reaver, Legend of Dragoon
SNES - Super Metroid, Contra III, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III(6), Chrono Trigger, Super Mario Kart
NES - Cobra Triangle, Jackal, River City Ransom, Excitebike, Ice Climbers, Othello

Best games: Star Wars Battlefront 2, Mario Kart 7, Lego Star Wars, Uncharted 3, Uncharted 2, The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, Battlefield 3 and Peggle 2.
While I do enjoy gameplay oriented game, I've also always had a special place in my heart for games that value good stories, so most of this list will be games with strong stories.
The Walking Dead (of course). Obviously I would not be here if I didn't enjoy the game, and I don't see why I would need to explain why I believe this game is great.
Ace Attorney. Courtroom drama, strong plot, great mysteries, and objections everywhere! What's not to like?
Dangan Ronpa. If you haven't heard of this game, you must try it out. While the game play parts can be a bit iffy, the plots of these games are extremely strong with a diverse cast of well developed characters that will leave you shattered and in tears by the end of the game. The basic premise is when a group of students go to school and find themselves locked in with no way out, before a talking teddy bear appears. They are to live the rest of their lives within the school, no exceptions, unless you graduate.
How do you graduate? You must murder a fellow student and get away with it. Following a murder a class trial begins where the rest of the student body must determine who the murderer is. If the correct murderer is chosen, only he is executed, but if the group picks the wrong person everyone else but the murderer is executed.
Needless to say I am quite passionate about this game series and its characters, and things get really intense in the class trials and between when your worried if your favourite character will either die or be the next murderer. I highly reccomend it ^^

2-The walking dead
3-Call of duty all games
Just finished Infamous 2,and i cried at the ending

There are too many to list so here are a few in no particular order:
The list goes on and I'm sure to be forgetting quite a few great ones as well.
Games I am looking forward to:
