Am I the only one who......?
Ok, I assume a lot of people will be scratching their heads after this. But, am I the only one who sort of likes Carver? From an antagonist point of view? Granted, we don't know his motives but I think it's safe to say from what he showed us thus far, he's not the good guy here.
Sure, from the preview of ep 3 you might argue Carver feels a bit like a Governor/Negan sort of guy. I hope it's not like that and he turns out to be a unique and interesting character. So,what do you think?

In one episode he's done so much evil.. Really want the option to kill him off already, speaking of that- anybody know what happens if you grab the knife in the cabin while you're talking to him?
Good as a character. The only person I trust is Kenny.
He beats you to it, and he eventually puts it in a drawer.
I think we'll find out some twists in Ep3. May not be as simple as it seems.
I want to say the same thing, but I really got the feeling that Kenny is right at the edge. When something pushes him over it I don't want to know what he'll do.
Gonna stick with him though, Kenny rules.
Agreed. From the looks of things, we will have plenty of interactions with him during ep 3.
He's cool. I'm surprised he didn't kill Clementine at the house or at the ski lodge as she was a pain in his ass. I honestly have no idea what his motives are or what he plans to do but he strikes me as a great antagonist so far.
I might not trust Kenny if he wasn't a little crazy after what he's been through.
If his new love interest dies he will becoming crazy Ken the psycho red neck. Kenny really pissed me off though when I said we should go look for Luke which with out replying he ends up shooting getting Walter killed. The new Kenny is a loose cannon. I dont like him.
As an antagonist, he's great so far. Can't wait to see how far he goes, though I know that the longer he lasts the more people are going to die because of him. The hostage situation at the ski lodge shows that he doesn't even know the meaning of fucking around.
Judging from the ep 3 preview. We will have plenty of interactions with him during the episode. I imagine eventually him or other people in the community will be taking a liking to Clementine. I'm really interested to see where this goes and how TT handles it.
Kenny always was a loose cannon
Only person I trust right now is Kenny.
He is a REALLY, REALLY good villain. His method of dragging everyone out was extremely successful.
He honestly just seems like the Governor to me.
Sure, he seems to be a great bad guy. Very realistic too. No monologues for anything like that. He recognized that in the situation in the cabin, he only had to kill a few of them before they would fold. He seems extremely intelligent from a psychological standpoint.
That being said, his dialogue, his demeanor, all of it has a very governor feel to it. I truly hope he grows to be a unique character and doesn't end up as a Governor 2.0.
As a side note, the guy took a bullet to the shoulder from a hunting rifle like a champ. That's the only part that really made me shake my head. Dude takes a bullet to the shoulder, stands up, and kills someone and starts waving his arms around like it was business as usual.
I loved the intruder scene. You could tell both Clem (who is extremely intelligent at reading people) and Carver (who seems to be able to do the same, although from a more sinister standpoint) were both playing a psychological game with each other. Trying to get information while trying to protect their own. (at least that's how I played it).
Really enjoyed this episode. And as a bad guy I really like Carver.
No,you're not.I really like Carver, because he's an intelligent sonnuvabitch,a great antagonist, not like the stranger, who was...Let's face it,he was effing stupid.I really like Carver and i appreciate TTG's writing on his character.
No I FUCKING LOVE CARVER
i agree Carver is cool as fuck from an antagonist point of view, he's a total badass voiced by a great actor
I got shivers when I first heard his theme. Dat guitar tho. (I think it's a guitar. Sorry if I'm dumb there.)
People seem to forget that maybe he does this for a slightly justified reason. As he said, he wants Rebecca's baby to grow up in a place of safety. And frankly, a place with machine guns and people who will apparently follow you to the grave when it comes to hurting people seems better than most places. Although it's probably a bit too much to judge at the moment, since we've no idea what Carver's camp is like.
Saying that, he's dangerous. He's hellbent on protecting his "family" despite their (Rebeccas) obvious wish against protecting them. I'll probably kill him for safety when I can if he doesn't show some good side of him.
I found my heart pounding at the cabin scene when he heard a noise and went up there to check for Sarah.
And again when he was lining people up and threatening them.
I'd say he's a real good villain! I feel like I'm on edge whenever he's around!
I wonder what will happen if Carver and Nate make contact... Oh god...
I would LOVE that to happen!
Agreed. He showed a lot of potential thus far. Can't wait for ep 3 to find out more about his motives and the way he sees things, should be interesting!
I don't know about that..... They are not on the same page from what i can gather.
In the preview of episode 3... Him and Clem seemed quite close. Like they were friends...
I agree with you. In the trailer in the end of episode 2 it seems that Clem and Carver can be friends (or maybe not). it's always difficult to understand the trailers, obviously.
It's not really surprising Carver will take a liking in Clem. The scene at the cabin sort of implies it depending on how you played it.
My Clem sure won't, he put his gun to her head!
I'm yet to replay the episode. It appears there are quite a few outcomes to this episode. Still, i wished Alvin hand't got killed. Oh well, another reason for me to replay it.:)
