I smiled, the scene was really great. His face when he saw Clementine, Clem hugging him. One of the best scenes of The Walking Dead series, maybe only Lee's sacrifice was "better"

He seems ALOT more agressive than before - Like the group He wants us to stay, but glares at you if you sit with luke He was really agressive to Sarita, she only wanted to help. He started with bathroom jokes... Even Sarita wanted to know why he was different

Why do you guys think he is acting weird this episode?

He's always been a lil douche but over protective of his family. He would've gave his life to save his wife and his son - after their deaths he lost everything and stopped caring about everything and everyone so I kinda understand his behaviour.

  • His family and friends all die then Clementine comes back and might leave.

With all the shit that happened to him, I would've been surprised if Kenny wasn't a bit... yippie kay-yay atm. I'm also guessing even more horrors happened to him between the two seasons. I really feel like he can become really unstable further on in the season, maybe even a danger to Clementine.
    But god, I hope not.

  • The WEIRDEST thing is that Kenny LAUGHS on several occasions, think back to when you ever heard that. The moments where he is aggressive are the only moments where his former self is revealed. Kenny arguing with the group when they come in is just Kenny's normal personality, pre and post Duck's death (being aggressive because he doesnt know any other way of talking to people that disagree with him), while Kenny grabbing the box from Sarita is more like his post-duck's death attitude (being aggressive for seemingly no reason)

  • I think it's because of Clem.
She reminds him of his past he tried to forget. And of Duck.

  • He is building a fantasy where Sarita is Katjaa and Clementine is Duck.

He will not let anyone take his "Duck" from him.

  • I did not like him at all in Season 1. Would've thought I'd like him in Season 2. Especially after his redeeming moment in S1E5 and his change of heart towards the end, I expected him to be more mature now and much wiser, like Charles.

I didn't find the bathroom joke particularly odd, guy seems to be making terrible jokes but that could just be his way of coping.

The bits that got me were when he flips out at Sarita, when he snaps at Nick and finally in the preview (because I gave up and went as a hostage) he looks at Clementine and says "Well at least ONE of us has the balls to not give up" or something like that.

Looks like he's going to be the same dickhead from Season 1 who can't handle things not going his way.

  • He's like Darksydephil, the scum of Youtube, with a gun and a dead family.

  • I went out looking for Kenny and Luke, then convinced him to surrender after Carver killed Walter, telling him to think about Sarita. In my preview Kenny actually says something like "Do whatever you want, I am not going to give up, I am not going out without a fight" while giving a deadly look at Clem, like he has been betrayed by her.

  • That matches with Kenny's character in season one though. He's a survivor. He never gives up even when he loses everything.

I'm interested in the Kenny/Clem dynamic going forward. We didn't get much of that interaction in season one, but he did deeply care for her and in my playthroughs, would have done anything to save her in the end.

  • Antbody else things Luke was Killed by Kenny? And yes i know kenny good and this is kind of what i think after i read a post up here:
Clementine( duck) was taken hostage and luke wanted to still fight, but kenny is NOT losing someone close again so he kills luke and surrenders
COuld be verry wrong but for some reason i think kenny could do it

  • This isn't gonna end well. In the exact moment where Kenny called Clem "Duck",I get what are we haeding and it doesn't seems good. Kenny sees Sarita as Katjaa and now Clem as Duck and he'll become super-protective with them. I'm really afraid that he's gonna hurt Luke (or Nick, since he's still alive in my playtrough) because he thinks that he's gonna took Clem away from him.

Yeah well i have this problem too, im verry verry over protective over my familly, yes i would murder if someone hurts them.
As i see it it could be possible that he becomes the evil, but i really hope not :(
He still is my favourite character be he seems so different

  • I did too. And hugged him. Then I chose to sit with him and got creeped out.

During my gameplay he actually said that Lee was a good guy, even though "they had their differences". Maybe he's talking about the time when I didn't help him kill Lilly's father. In fact, he didn't join Lee's group when he had to go after Clementine.

    Omid posted: »

Same, Ken talked about Lee like he was saint in this episode. I wonder what he says if you were on mostly bad terms with him in Season 1? Anyone know?

  • So did I. But then I was a bit sad when I noticed how he had.. changed. :/

  • Wheres saltlick and the other dude ?

  • Yeah he does so he should be back tomorrow afternoon I suppose and the other guy plays on xbox so he should be back later today

This sounds like the most likely direction Telltale will take Kenny. His obsession with finding a boat in S1 following Duck and Katjaa's deaths proves Kenny will fixate on something - anything - to keep his sanity intact. In this season, it looks like it's going to be Sarita and Clem, with Kenny's delusional mind slotting them into the roles of Katjaa and Duck.

Whether Clem goes along with Kenny's "psychosis" to avert possible madness, or tries to make him move on, would be entirely up to the player.

IMO, that was just Kenny being Kenny. He displayed the same immature "you're either with me or against me" attitude with Lee in the meat locker, and now it seems Kenny and Clem are going to have a similar relationship.

Yeah, it's great to see him back but i can't shake the feeling Telltale are going to do something horrible with his story now. After all he already had his redemption in episode 5 and something just seems a little.. off. I noticed it even before Sarita mentioned it.

  • Kenny clearly doesn't think much of Luke, and his dismissive attitude when Clem asked about Luke's whereabouts is troubling. I wouldn't be surprised if the tension between the two men boils over in episode 3.

  • It's like when a pet dies and you get a new one to try and mask your sadness. It doesn't really erase anything, but it can help get over it.

He is still recovering form the loss of his wife and child. I think he being in a relationship already is making it worse. It is almost as i

I think he was being a little too... happy and optimistic. It might just be me, but it was weird when he started laughing. Plus when he made fun of Luke and Nick at the dinner table I just thought to myself; "Kenny man, what the hell?" Still though, we never really saw Kenny in a relaxed state before, that might just be what he is like.

I did laugh a bit though when he grabbed the decorations from Sarita and insisted he had them in that forceful manner. That's when I thought; "Yup, that's the Kenny I know & love."

Plus that Politics joke he said outside the lodge was pretty damn funny, glad to see Season Two doesn't mind having some light-hearted moments like Season One had.

  • Well I can't wait until he dies once again this season.

  • I genuinely didn't hesitate. I saw the back of his head and was like OMG KENNYKENNYKENNY

I then scanned through the options, and before he had finished half a sentence I was all like [HUG KENNY]

i shed tears too. Clem huging Kenny really got me. ;(

  • Kenny was the same to me maybe just a bit different but he lost his family and is just trying to deal with it. Maybe if he does go crazy in later episodes Clem can talk him back to his sanity. Does anyone remember the drawing that Clementine made with Kenny, Katjaa, and Duck? Maybe that will play an important role later on.

  • Considering that he can potentially leave Lee to die depending on the choices the player makes, I really hope that Kenny doesn't think about doing the same to Clementine this time around.

All y'all who think this new beard is better than the 'stache are batshit crazy. Come on! The beard doesn't even twinkle:

In all seriousness though, it was a repulsive artistic liberty. And when I make my own Gamer Poop for A House Divided, I fully intend to make Clem say: "What happened to your mustache?"

  • I hope he changed. I hope he will be a little hero like in the end of e5, not that selfish irritating (just imo) guy as he was before. I hope he doesn't make Sarita kill herself as it happened to Katjaa :'(

    Hated him in Season 1.

Expected him to have become a wiser, more mature character after seeing his 'redeeming moment' before his disappearance in Season 1 Episode 5. Was actually pretty glad when I saw him for the first time.

Then I saw him flip out at Sarita and snap at the table with Nick and Luke. The worst thing might be in the preview where he says to Clementine something along the lines of: "Well, at least ONE of us has the balls not to give up!" - presumably because in my game, the 11 year old girl was afraid choosing not to show herself to Carver would get a man killed.

Guess I'll hate him for another Season.

  • 10 bucks he will shave it off in episode 3.

  • I hope Kenny didnt kill Luke. Kenny wouldnt do that! Or would he?! D:

  • Something's iffy. I can't put my finger on it, but the jokes just seem really out of place for him. ("No, this is all a dreeeam!" actually threw me for a loop, its not something I'd put past TT.)

  • Kenny's definitely still struggling with the deaths of his family. He seems more composed now though. Just think last time someone took the group hostage he ran headlong into danger and ended up wounded because of it. This time not so much. He's another person to tell Clem Lee's death wasn't her fault when she confessed her guilt. That's the way it is in my gameplay, Clem blames herself. Funniest thing I remember though is Kenny giving Clem some stick about her hat but he's wearing the same old one from before as well.
