And I'm actually pretty surprised Telltale seems to get their shit together already.

Apparently @FreddeN93 was Banned for sharing that with us. Confidential information? It's about time Telltale Games stop being vague about everything. It was basically a mail from a Telltale Staff member, (not gonna say any names).

MOD EDIT: Please don't discuss the contents of the e-mail. See my comment below for why.

Lol, why would someone ban him for that? As telltales customers, i think we have the right to know when the next episodes of twd/twau come out, i mean cmon.

  • We're not really at liberty to discuss banned members, for multiple reasons (least of which being that they can't defend themselves).

What I WILL say is that, as you've no doubt discovered, he was banned for sharing what was intended to be a confidential discussion with another member of Telltale. Until I/we hear back from Telltale about this issue, I'd ask people not to share what was in that discussion, which is why I'm editing posts to remove quotes from it.

I understand people are excited about Telltale's games, but this incident is a very delicate situation and if possible I'd prefer that we err on the side of caution by not discussing it for the time being. I understand your frustrations, I do, but like I say, delicate situation.

Don't worry. He will be able to see it, but not able to post on it. He is only banned from participating in discussions.

They say the wait for ep3 wont be nearly as long. That's a fancy way to say soon.

    Mod Edit: Redacted.

Considering that I expect Episode 3 of TWD to come out Beginning of May which is a considerably shorter wait IMO

  • this is about twd sir

  • Sorry but episode 2 was fantastic. Worth the wait totally. If thats the quality we get every episode for waiting that long I'm fine with waiting

  • Did you even read the last part of the sentence ?

someone who's name may or may not have been FreddeN93 may or may not have been banned to give us REDACTED. "He was a good man."

  • actually saltlick, if it's coming sooner then we think, and we guess (BASED ONLY ON OUR OWN INTUITION) that episode 3 of twau will be out on April 1 at the latest, that means that we can estimate TWD In Harm's Way for 22 or 29.

  • I'm a little lost. Telltale employees are giving out "confidential" info to random community members?

And then they ban him for sharing it to other members. Something doesn't add up.

  • That's Great ! But If they wait until April to release TWAU I don't think they would give us TWD just 3 Weeks Later in the Same month which is why it all mostly depends on When TWAU comes out.

It's probably not so much that it's "confidential" as it was "unconfirmed" or "unofficial."

From what I've seen of the conversation, I would hazard a guess that Fredden93 was asking the Telltale staff member about possible conflicts between TWAU and TWD production leading to delays. That staff member responded to this by saying that there was no conflict and gave a very rough estimate for when TWAU would be release as a way to assure a fan that the wait for TWAU EP3 won't be nearly as long as the wait for TWAU EP2. Fredden93 took this information and ran with it as an official confirmation, which it wasn't. It was just a guess.

I have to say, I don't really agree with this ban either, since he didn't technically violate anything in the guidelines. That being said, I also don't like Fredden's attitude of "Welp, I guess you shouldn't have told me that then. It's all on you" towards the staff member who was in correspondence with him. We want Telltale to communicate more with us. Treating someone who's done so as if they'd done something wrong seems counterproductive.
