Since the infection can be theoretically stopped if cut off in time then any bite the occurs on a part of the body that can be amputated will/should be amputated. Since zombies have a high chance of biting a limb of some sort it stands to reason there is a good chance we will see something get cut off.

That's something I would really need to think about. As a fellow avid fan an amputation would upset me to no end but it would depend on the severity and circumstances. If she died? Yes I would most likely walk away, but if they can make the amputation something marginal (like a finger or toe) I could more easily accept that. It really depends.
