Well, one thing we know for sure is, things are only gonna get worse. We have to prepare ourselves for some pretty messed up shit in the approaching episodes.
But the Episode 5 music really fits that Clem just goes mental or something. Knowing that it's the last episode of the season, we can easily assume that there will probably only be 3-5 people from her group still alive or maybe even less (including some new survivors we might meet in Episodes 3 and 4). It really fits in with the fact that Clem is just lost in in her own mind filled with sadness, loneliness, and most importantly, madness. Expect to see bad, bad things happen for the rest of the season...
The episode select music for Episodes 4 and 5 aren't necessarily indicative of Clem's state of mind in those episodes. The ones for Episode… mores 1, 2, and 3 could also be interpreted as being reflective of the external circumstances Clem finds herself in: ambient rainfall and her theme playing to call to mind the fact that she's the only thing left (What Remains), steady tribal drumbeats to symbolize the rising tension between the various factions (A House Divided), and heart-of-the-jungle/psychotic buzzing kinds of noises to reflect the constant danger she's in when around Carver (In Harm's Way).
There's no reason to think that the ones for Episodes 4 and 5 would be any different. Episode 4's sounds like Clem's going to be in a sort of warzone that leaves a great deal of destruction in its wake (Amid the Ruins) while the one for Episode 5 conjures up the image of Clem having to venture into a cold, mysterious, desolate place alone without an… [view original content]
Well, A LOT of bad things have already happened to Clem and she still hasn't really shown any signs of cracking yet.
I mean she's seen her baby-sitter turn into a monster, she's seen a partially cannibalized man pleading for help, she's seen her friend slowly dying in his mother's arms, she's seen dozens of people get eaten alive, and she's seen her mom and dad as walking lifeless abominations. Not to mention the fact that she's been kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and imprisoned on multiple occasions and the fact that she's had to sew her own arm back together in shed without any anesthetic. And then there's Lee...
Honestly, if she hasn't lost it by this point, I don't know what the hell else would have to happen to drive her over the edge.

The episode 5 song sounds like loneliness, sadness and probably madness. Like voices echoing in her head. That's what I expect from the ending.Clem alone, with no one to hear her screaming making her lose the most important gift, her humanity and kindness. Kind of like your theory. Or maybe she will be put in the situation of making a drastic choice that will haunt her forever and forcing her into a mental breakdown when she realizes how alone she is and that there is "No going back".

Oh my gawd! You're my favourite youtuber when it comes TWD game OST. Tell me sempai, how did you get the soundtrack, I tried with youtube-mp3 but it doesn't download most of the time!

Or maybe a dream. Maybe Clem will be on the point of giving up after a chain of unfortunate events and while she takes a rest in a dark corner drifts asleep and has a short dream of Lee where he motivates her to keep fighting. It would be great to actually have an interactive dialogue if that happens.
There are a lot of possibilities as to what will become of this season.
Judging by the pure essence of scary that you get from the music, and insanity, we can make a fare decision that there's a possibility Clementine may just loose herself. And when you look at the chapter select pictures, number fours in particular, Clementine is rubbing blood on her face- or what looks to be blood. Now, she wouldn't just rub blood on her face for the hell of it, obviously this is some sort of way of her saying, "I'm not the little girl I used to be, that little girl is gone." and I've come up with maybe, if Carver dies in the next episode leading to episode 4, it could be her who killed Carver and is rubbing possibly his blood on her face, but then again the chapter select photo usually doesn't show up in the episode, it gives you a rough idea of what is becoming on the season.
Clementine has had to deal with the loss of her parents, the loss of Lee and the loss of other people she had spent her first few months with during the apocalypse. She's probably depressed, and has a wall built up around her so she won't break down and so she won't let anyone in, but for a girl who is 11, I am highly sure that her walls will break- and she will loose it a bit, who wouldn't in her situation really?
And touching on the subject of possible rape happening to her while they are with Carver, I don't doubt that won't happen. It could happen, you never know what Telltale will do. And if it does happen, that may be that last straw for Clementine.
But from what I can see, this season is going in a dark direction.
When that part came along, I was trying to find the "I love you" button through blurred vision. Wasn't there. So "I'll miss you" became a good substitute.
Can't believe people actually think this might or will happen. I would stop playing the game if it did and i love this game but that's way too far. She's 11 for god sake. Telltale has bounds.
Just a thought, but the walker on Episode 5 slide, do you think that walker would appear in that episode, and Clem faces it she's thinking she's looking at Lee who's really not.
I hope that by the end of the season Clementine regains her sanity. As unlikely as it may be, I just want her to not lose her mind like Lizzie did. I never cared for Lizzie but I would cry if Clementine becomes an antagonist whether or not we will realize it.
I don't think Lizzie ever had a mind to lose (that we know of) it was just sad that she couldn't realize what the world was like. If Clem lost her mind it would be soul-crushing since we witnessed her descent into madness.

Even if I actually support this theory it's funny how if someone says "I wonder if Clementine will be raped" he gets downvoted by everyone but if SARAH is raped then everyone is "nah,it's fine".
I kinda did this a while back. Episode 4 inspired me to this. It showing that Clem is losing her innocence.
Thought this would fit this discussion as well.

Actually i'm stupid, i just checked and the music you described is indeed playing to me too. Man am i lazy.

Both !
It's an old song (written in the early 1900') so i don't think there is a link .... Or telltale are definitely insane !
Here's the theme for the first slide, since they changed it to something that doesn't last 3 seconds.
That's the one I was talking about! Wait a minute, you aren't MikonReborn are you?

I am MikonReborn, yeah. Hosted threads with the soundtrack uploads on this forum too, but with the forum's new system, it's not easy to find those.

I don't know, maybe that's just a sign that something REALLY bad will happen. Like, extremely bad. We just have to wait.
She's resilient but everyone has their breaking point.

Why do I get the feeling that episode 5 Clem will get caught in a blizzard and is guided by a hallucination of Lee?
I'm making a video on how to extract the music, so stay tuned.
What if Clementine has to kill Rebecca in Episode 3 kinda like S1E2 and she loses her innocence after realizing what she has to do to survive.

Welp, this is an incredibly late link, you can blame Mikon for that:
Whatever happens, folks, we gotta brace ourselves (and maybe for the worst).

Speaking of late, i gave this video on this thread before you did.
Don't give them ideas

So much to read!!!!!
Will return tomorrow!

That shadow figure who gets shot by Clem kinda reminds me of Lee a bit.

That track sounds like a creepypasta song.
