(Talked to Freddie on Steam, and according to him, and according to the printscreen he sent me of the mail convo, (yes, it's real), he was not instructed whatsoever to not share the information he was given.)
Well if thats true then it was out of order fpr him getting banned. Telltale wouldn't tell him if it was information they didn't want the public to hear about
It just wasn't information meant for the community just yet. It wasn't Freddie's fault, it wasn't Telltale's fault, it certainly wasn't the … morefault of any of the moderators. The fact is Telltale have their own schedules for development and marketing that they will meet when the time comes, not before. Stop making this into something bigger than it is.
Us "Damn moderators" have not gone power mad - we were acting in the best interests of everyone involved. Both sides were to blame, and both have been dealt with (presumably - I can't speak for Telltale's end). Let that be the end of it.

So basically he just emailed a Telltale staffer asking [REDACTED], they replied with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. Well that's a recipe for a lose-lose situation if I ever saw one...
MOD EDIT: [REDACTED]
"Played Ep 3 of #TheWolfAmongUs today at the office. Bloody good...
We'll have news on its release much sooner than you think! Stay tuned!"… more
Tweet from Job J Stauffer. Gotta think this is good news for In Harm's Way's release date. I have faith. Just had to get past the episode 2s. Now they'll start pumping both TWAU and TWD out.
Then why not let him back on the forums then? show us you haven't gone mad and give the poor kid a second chance. The people you represent leaked information.....as you know TT sucks at giving out information. He was probably excited to share something with the community and give people who have paid for a season pass some legitimate information....and didn't even one of the other mods say that we'll be getting this information eventually? doesn't that kind of sound like their sitting on info? Give the kid a break... he's the reason all of you mods are on this forum and the employees at TT have a job.
Again - can we please not discuss this further.

I'm not discussing someone who's been banned. None of the mods will. Don't ask us to.
I know Telltale sucks at giving out information. We all know they do - especially those of us who have been around long enough to remember when Telltale was the coolest company on the planet. But that doesn't mean that we're going to give out every little scrap of information we can get our hands on. That'd be betraying the trust that Telltale have placed in us.
Of course you'll be getting information about when Ep3 will be released - the mod who said that probably meant that we'd get it closer to the day of release. But again, if we are sitting on info (which we're not, for the record), then it'd be because there's a damn good reason for keeping it under wraps.
And... I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean when you say "he's the reason all of you mods are on this forum and the employees at TT have a job". Did you mean that in the sense that he's a fan? Because sure, people LIKE him are the reason Telltale are in business, but they're not the reason I'm a mod - that'd be my sparking personality and uncanny ability to insert random Monty Python quotes into everyday conversation. In fact, in this post there are 47 quotes... but none of them can be seen.
I do see your point though, and it's possible his ban may be lifted at some point. But again, not going to talk about banned members behind their backs. That'd just be rude.
EDIT Well, Jennifer's talking about it, so I may as well just copy-paste what she said.
He posted an image containing the entire message he got from a staff member (including their name and e-mail). "Violating someone's privacy" is in fact against Telltale's Terms of Service. It is just polite internet etiquette to not post other people's personal information publicly.
There. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

There's no need to worry about reading it though, just as long as you don't discuss it, you'll be OK
Please, let's all move on from discussion about this, since it is against forum guidelines to discuss banned forum members (mostly because it's not fair to them to talk about them "behind their backs" since they can't join in on the conversation).
Nothing - I think he meant to reply to someone else. When comments get THIS nested, it's a nightmare to navigate them.
The answer to your question is as follows. Freddie<random number I can't remember> got in touch with someone from Telltale, who e-mailed him back. Freddie then took a screen-grab of the e-mail and shared it on the foru-COMMUNITY. Said screen-grab not only included the contents of the e-mail, which wasn't really supposed to be shared in the first place, but also included the name and e-mail address of the guy from Telltale, which is the main reason this became such a big issue.
We've been asking people not to discuss this because it's both a really delicate situation and because it's unfair to talk about a banned member behind their back (in fact, it's against the site guidelines).
Hopefully this answers your question. Now if we could try and leave this behind us, that'd be awesome.

Mod edit: Don't discuss banned members (or the reason for their banning). We've been lenient about it before (even going so far as explaining the situation, which is something we usually don't do). Remember that discussing bans is against forum guidelines.

Well they certainly won't if people keep making an issue of it like this.
I removed the image because it still contained confidential information Telltale didn't want shared. If you'd asked rather than making a snide comment in your previous post about my edit, then I'd have told you that.
I want this incident dead and buried. Please stop trying to dig it up.
I'm not really one to call people out, but the mods are being ridiculous here. Seriously guys, I know you want to do the best job you can moderating the forums.. but take a look back at what you've been saying and doing about something so ridiculously minor. I can understand taking the image down because of it revealing personal contact information, but that's all you really needed to do. All you would have had to do from there is ask the guy to blur out the personal information. As for the actual content of the information, if an actual Telltale employee was willing enough to share the information, then who are you exactly to say that it's something that can't be shared? If this was truly such a big deal Telltale would just handle it themselves.
And banning the guy for all of this? Really? No warnings or anything?
We were asked by Telltale to remove the image and to stop people from discussing the confidential information it contained, so that's what we've been doing. I'm not going to discuss it further, and I suggest you don't either.

O_O? I think I just learned a new language...
Maybe I gave them an idea?
PS: You're gonna love your entrance in the comic.
I fear that I'm gonna pull my first ever Scumbag Lee moment now.
Finally... the fans have some shine on Intellelelellowl from Telltale.
Sorry bad imitation of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, I know. But Telltale is rolling!
yeah we know...

they kept promising it sooner then we think, and TWAU will be out by April 1st. I THINK. so that means that twd can come out in mid-late april.

I saw the "confidential" e-mail that Fredden posted before it got taken down.
Should I watch my back? Ninjas may be tracking me and I wouldn't know.
I'm always watching you.
ALWAYS.

Hoping hurts

Twitter pic?
Can someone please tell Job Stauffer and everoneone else at telltale to stop using the word "soon"?
The one from Laura's feed which shows Melissa (Clem), Nick Breckon (writer) and Eric Parsons (director). Oh, and Greg Miller.

Don't. We've asked people to move on from this - please do so.
I don't think anyone is gong to move on from this for a longshot.
Touche.
That doesn't make it OK to post it.
You've already posted it twice, and both times it has been removed. Please don't do so again.
Well they certainly won't if people keep making an issue of it like this.

tick tock tick tock....
Well if Telltale asked you to do it, it's all good then. I apologize if I somehow missed that being said somewhere.
Okay, I apolgize. Freddie said he will be blogging about the leak anyway. I won't speak more of it here.
Thanks, that's appreciated.
You and me both, pal.
You know what that just reminded me of?
''A lotta tension with y'all, huh?"
Is it out yet? Also, free Hat.
Couldn't find a better version of it, sorry.
free hat? yes please
I'm hoping episode 3 of TWD will be out by at least middle of next month. That would make me soooo happy.
