I told my friend I hated the TV show, and he suggested I try the game. I was blown away by how amazing it was, I played from episode 1 to 3 over the weekend and started harassing him about when the next episode would come out. It is now by far my favorite game, and I'm in love with telltale. I can't wait to see what they do with Game of Thrones, and the rest of TWAU. I still haven't read the comics, but I've seen sooooooo many spoilers..
First I recognized the game on steam and i thought "wow nice graphic" but i didn´t buy it, cause i have absolutely no game skills - i play a horror game and die in the first 10 seconds...
Then i saw the game played by a german LetsPlayer (Sarazar) - and i was like "hey - that doesn't look so difficult - u can play that without insta-death" and so i bought it and i never regreted it. :-)
Hmm. Well, I guess I introduced it to myself by just browsing through some non commentary videos on YouTube to check out some new games. I came across Telltale's "The Walking Dead", and at that point, I knew absolutely nothing about Kirkman's TWD universe. So when I saw it, I thought, "Hey, why not? Don't judge it by it's graphics. In fact, I think I like how they tailored the way it looks."
When I did get around to playing it, the story blew me away, and the fact that our choices had impact made it all the more enthralling. After a while, I became attached to the characters, which has never happened to me before. I usually don't care all that much when it comes to these things, but when Lee died, I'm not ashamed to say that I bawled my eyes out. I decided to try reading the comics and watch the TV show when I was done. But in my opinion, they will never be as good as the story of Clementine.
And so after finishing Season One, I was desperate to find out whether or not there was going to be a Season Two. Hence why I made an account to talk about it on these forums and why I'm still here today. Long story short, this is a freakin' epic thing that Telltale has created, and I hope they never stop making more.
Saw it during a Steam sale (2012 summer I think) and bought it on impulse because it looked good. Knew absolutely nothing about it, except that it had zombies.

As many people have mentioned, from Youtube. More specifically, theRadBrad. Only watched about 15 minutes of it before I went straight to Steam and bought the game for myself. Best $25 I've ever spent. I even got a few friends to play it last month :>
Well, I bought it to basically distract me until some of the other games I was hyped for went on sale. I didn't even bother playing those games until like 2 weeks later when I bought TWD. This is easily my favorite story-based franchise now, and I am still shocked that I made a good impulse buy for once.
I started with the tv show which I still watch and love. The I found out is was based on
Comics and I started reading them and feel in love with them I mean the show is awesome but the comics are still way better I'm just gotta say the show ruined andrea she is way better in the comics. Then finally I bought walking dead because I saw it on xbox marketplace and because It had the walking dead name and decided to give it a chance since I love all things walking dead lets just say best decision ever
Played it on Xbox because it was free, couldn't get into it. Then about a year later I played it again and I loved it, so I bought season 1 on PC. It was about the time season 2 came out and I immediately bought that too. Been hooked ever since...
I found the first episode free for IOS on the app store. Played it and loved it, so I got the rest of the game on my computer, which was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than expected. I never really watched the TV series or read the comic until I played the game.
I only knew telltale for Sam & Max at the time I didn't bother playing their other games (Which I regret to this very day). One day a Let's player I watched theradbrad uploaded a video on this game called The Walking Dead Game. I was reading the comics at the time so I gave it a shot. As soon as I finished watching episode 1 I had to have it! But I didn't even have a good pc at the time and I was clueless what steam was so I just forgot about buying it and just continued watching the Let's play videos. I finally got a well made laptop and made a steam account. I picked up a 50 dollar steam wallet code. I then found out about the steam summer sale and I picked up the walking dead with 400 days for 6 bucks and I been a huge fan ever since. I pre ordered Season 2 immediately on Steam as soon as the teaser came out.

First i noticed the Series and the Comics sometime where it became popular i think. About the Game i read some good Critics around the Time when S1E1 was released. Then i saw it on the PS Store and i thought 'Well imma risking those 5 Bucks for it'. Also i loved Point and Click. The Rest is History.

My favourite youtuber had played the first episode of the first season and he uploaded it on the Internet. So I began to follow the story. I had never heard about the game, even though the 5th ep came out five or six months before. At first I was sketpical, because it was the first time I watched a TellTale game, but I got used to their style and I fell in love with the characters.
It took a month for me to complitely watch the entire season. I still remember the day I saw the conclusion. Best and worst day of my life. I was so amazed I decided to buy it play it myself.
The 400 days came out, and I played it too. Then the race to the 2nd season started, and I subscribed to this amazing community to take part of it. Season 2 came out, I played it, I enjoyed it and the feelings came back to visit their old friend. Same for the second episode.
Now I'm currently waiting for the 3rd, just like everyone else.
I didn't actually get into the game until after the first season was finished. I ended up buying the disc version. I was already a fan of the show but didn't pay much attention to the game really until it started getting all of this attention. The only TellTale game I had played previously was the BttF game, which I did enjoy. I decided to go ahead and purchase the disc version of the game not really expecting that much honestly. I started the game and was hooked by the end of the first episode. It just kept getting better and better. Then, with that ending, it became the only game i've played (gaming for about 25 years now) that has actually made me cry. I've become a bigger fan of the company since then playing more of their previous games as well as enjoying S2 of TWD and what they're doing with TWAU.
I watched the first two episodes of the television show of The Walking Dead after I found out that Telltale was making a game based on The Walking Dead. I found out that I actually liked the premise of The Walking Dead better than I did most zombie stories, because the core of the story was about how people acted in the situation and how human relationships were affected by the collapse of society and stress of constantly trying to stay alive. So, since I knew it would probably be something I'd like, I held off on watching the rest of the show so I could come into Telltale's game while still relatively new to the franchise.
I started the watch YOGSCAST Hannah's LP on Telltale's The Walking Dead, then decided to get the game(I still follow her LP of the game, but I play the episode first of course, and did it that way since Episode 2), then after the game ended, I decided to buy the entire first three Seasons of the TV Series(I got the Season pass for S3 around Christmas), then after Season 3 of the TV Show ended, I decided to read the comics. So... Yeah, The Game through YOGSCAST Hannah, then bought the game myself, then TV Show, then Comics.

Not scared of the zombies themselves, but that they might eat beloved group members.
dammit

It was a summer day.

Thank you TellTale for this great year!

I did like it. Back when I played it for the 1st time I didn't really get into it. Then when I took the time to play it, that when I got into it.
Show then game
I started the watch YOGSCAST Hannah's LP on Telltale's The Walking Dead, then decided to get the game(I still follow her LP of the game, but I play the episode first of course, and did it that way since Episode 2), then after the game ended, I decided to buy the entire first three Seasons of the TV Series(I got the Season pass for S3 around Christmas), then after Season 3 of the TV Show ended, I decided to read the comics.
