Kenny called Clementine ____
I feel so sorry for Kenny. But yet, I want him to talk more about Katjaa and Duck. Even though he'll probably end up in a puddle of tears and snot, I want him to talk about how he got over it and stuff. I'm glad he found himself another gf though. But when he called Clem Duck...that shows he's not over it.

I wish Clem still had the picture of Kenny, Kat & Duck, then she could show it to him, sadly I'm pretty sure she lost it when she fell into the river.
I think she lost the pic of Lee too. Now that just downright SUCKS!
Nope...it was in her backpack when i gave uncle Pete the bottle of water!
The fact that he called her Duck, and the fact that they gave the player the option to mention that Kenny seems different means something...like he's going through some shit. And who knows WHAT happened to him during the time everyone thought he was killed and before he met his new girlfriend...
Him calling her duck unsettled me a bit.
Aw man, if you didn't burn the picture of Kenny's family, that'd be so great if you could give it to him! Just like when you had the decision to take the watch in the first episode and if you did, you could give it to Nick in the second episode.
Yes. Me too.
This ^ (Please, Telltale!)
I dont see it. I paused a youtube vid when Clem was in the bag and I dont see it. Where art thou?
Wowzers change the title. Major spoilers.
Better???
It might be post traumatic stress disorder. Kenny witness his family dying in a horrible way. And if you ask Sarita how she met Kenny she says she find him alone in a boarded up diner. Kenny said himself that he was alone for awhile. that's not going to help his state of mind. He might snap like Lilly.
Indeed.
Now that I feel comfortable with the title I can give me two cents.
I think he is making a replacement family. Sarita has taken the place of Katjaa and Clementine, or so I predict, will take the place of his beloved son. He nearly completely fell apart when he lost his family the first time, I can't imagine what it's going to be like when he loses his next one/part of his next one.
Yes, but think about it this way.
We thought taking the watch would be bad, and it turned out to be the better choice.
We think saving the picture is the better choice, but is it?
I think it might not be. If Kenny sees it, he might lose it.
That's a good theory. Yeah, Clem's the new Duck. I think he may actually be a little bit....insane.
Exactly.
We've seen how much he is teetering on the brink of insanity/mental instability. (IE: calling Clem duck : random and weird humor : snapping about carrying the box (which worries me greatly, because this is the hardest to explain in my opinion)) It is a realistic theory to assume the picture could do more harm than good.
Wow! With all the hate Kenny fans give Lilly it would be extremely humorous and humbling to turn Kenny into the same type of irrational/crazy character.
I'm positive he is a little bit insane, the question we should be asking is how insane. Will he be dangerous? Will he be a liability? Will we need to leave him/try to change his psyche?
Basically, is it realistic or a good idea for Clementine to stay with her long lost, recently found friend?
I will stick with Kenny no matter what. He's amazing.
a person can handle so much, Kenny witness his family dying in a very horrible way. maybe not in the same way as Lilly but any person who snaps in this series wouldn't end on a good note. I am just saying what I think. but since people love these characters a lot there is abound to be back clash
It'll drag out all of the horrible things that happened to him in Season 1, and he'll break. Mentally. Like others have said even on this thread, I suspect he has a severe case of PTSD. Common symptoms of PTSD include Anger and Irritability (demonstrated during the argument with Luke and Nick during dinner), depression and hopelessness (exhibited through his alcoholism in the latter half of Season 1), and guilt, shame, or self blame (which he has been carrying around since he got Shawn killed in Season 1). There are others, but these are some major things we've seen Kenny display throughout the series, and it seems that the events of Season 1 have left him very mentally scarred. Any reminder of that may well send him over the edge.
I'll probably show him the picture anyway. I have no idea why.
Regarding the picture, I don't know if I can show him it or not. I mean, I want him to remember Katjaa. He hasn't even referenced about Katjaa yet. Not even to his new girl friend that he's known for like, a year. I'm beginning to think he pushed Katjaa so far out of his mind that she's just not there anymore.
Of course, many Kenny fans would.
Facepalm
Don't forget Wellington. He thinks it's the solution to all of his problems, like he did with the boat in Season 1. He even acts the same way when people question his plan, and he refuses to consider the possibility of the plan not working out. Wellington is Boat 2.0 for him, and Sarita and Clem are the replacement family he needs to get to the safety of Wellington at all costs. Exactly like he tried to get Katjaa and Duck to the safety of the boat at all costs. He's doing the same thing all over again, and expecting different results...
I will also, maybe it can bring him back from the brink. It may get wishy washy before he snaps back, but it's better than him falling off completely. Then again it could just shove him over the edge......
Maybe I should tell him I have the picture instead of flinging it in front of his face....
This already a hard choice and it's nonexistent....
[SHOW PICTURE] [DON'T SHOW PICTURE] is the new [SIT WITH LUKE] [SIT WITH KENNY] choice of Episode 3 (or 4, whenever it happens). Goddamnit Telltale, can't you give us an easy way out just once?
Sit with Kenny / Sit with Luke
I was looking for a -Sit Alone- option!
That isn't epsiode 3 or 4, it was epsiode 2. If you are saying Save one or the other than yes, you are correct.
Cough LUKE cough
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
-Albert Einstein.
It didn't work once, chances are it won't work again. But this time I don't see Kenny sustaining, let alone recovering.
The problem is she is always there. Reference: Him calling Clementine, Duck. Oops.
Yes true. I was thinking it could be a sweet but sad moment that Clem could choose to do or not. Of course this would result in Kenny: breaking down completely, looking at it and give it back to Clem saying he can't take it, throw it away when Clem's not looking or something worse that gives us a glimpse at how broken he has become. Whether you give him the image or not (if this were to happen), it could break him further or not do anything at all. I don't know, it could be an option. As I said before, it could be sweet but sad.
With dat mustache, Kenny is invincible!
Psh. I stopped trusting that guy when he leaves you alone at the top of a tower that you had just nearly slipped off of. He didn't even call up to warn you!
Him having a foreign girlfriend unsettled me a lot. He's building a replacement family.
He hasn't even referenced about Katjaa yet. Not even to his new girl friend that he's known for like, a year.
That Kenny lost a wife and child is known to everyone at the lodge (it's mentioned at the dinner table with the cabin group). He just doesn't go into details which is perfectly natural with something that painful. I'm kind of disturbed how people are taking that to instantly mean he's on the verge of going crazy (the game even references this with Luke insinuating something similar and Carlos responding that they "shouldn't jump to conclusions"). I'm expecting more of an emotional breakdown.
