The odds of ___ being alive.

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

As we all know, Lee died in the end of Season 1. Old news, right? Well, I have found many theories online about how he COULD be alive. I know, this sounds like a post from a diehard Lee fan holding on to some childish hope that his favorite character ever in any video game may be living when he obviously died from Clementine shooting him, or him turning into a mindless zombie that would never be the same again. HOWEVER, hear me out. This theory may actually end up being true.
If you made Clem shoot Lee, then your thoughts are probably something like, "He's gone! All hope is lost! Clem shot him! It's over!" But, there may be hope yet. In case you didn't notice, it appear that Lee had passed out before
Clem pulled the trigger. So, let's just say....Clementine didn't have the strength to shoot him. Yes, I know the scene ended with the dreaded gun noise. But, what if she slightly moved the gun to the left, maybe. That would mean Lee would still be dying from fever, and Clem would have just left him there, dying. Now, I know that when you're bitten or when you die you turn, but what if Lee was just suffering from a terrible infection, from amputating his arm. If, of course, you chose to amputate his arm. Maybe a rescue team found him and gave him medicine and helped him. If, however, you did not choose to amputate his arm, then yes, he was dying from the bite. But what if that same exact rescue team had the cure with them as well. That's right. A cure. That would mean Lee is alive somewhere, probably looking for Clem.

Thank you for reading this theory I found online. I added some of it myself, but, it's something to hold on to for all you Lee fans. Who knows, maybe everything is as it seems. Lee is dead, and Clem is by herself....but I doubt it. :)

I did read your theory, but it's simply not possible.

but what if Lee was just suffering from a terrible infection, from amputating his arm.

This could be the case as well. But the infection from the bite already spread until Lee amputates his arm. So it doesn't matter if the player decided to cut his arm or not, he still would've died.

But what if that same exact rescue team had the cure with them as well. That's right. A cure

    That's not happening either, sorry.

  • Interesting theory, but I am sorry to say that there is zero chance of him being alive. If you did amputate it, the time from the mansion to the morgue was probably a good hour. That gave the infection plenty of time to spread, if he had amputated it at the mansion then it could have been an infection from blood loss, but he waited too long to amputate

  • Haha, how could possibly know what's NOT going to happen if it hasn't NOT happened yet??? XD

  • For me it would ruin the effect that the season one ending had on me. I mean lee is the best character in the game, but he never gave up on her, not caring about his bite and worrying about her safety.
I hate to say it, but sometimes the death of a character like Lee can be more effective storytelling than having everything work out at the last second.

  • also people seem to forget that lee could not have died from anything else since you can see the same symptoms of his bite compared to pete or ducks bite

  • There is no cure I think Robert kirkman even said so in the past. even if the infection didn't kill him and blood loss would have

  • Remember guys, just because he may have been dying from the bite doesn't mean that s rescue team didn't come in with the cure to help him

    Cure? In the Walking Dead?

Sorry about that. I love that gif. Anyway that would be awesome but is in fact clinging on to hope. How would the rescue team find him? The outside of the building is surrounded by walkers. The door you came in cannot be opened. Would they really search every building? Sorry this theory is close to impossible even though I wish Lee was still alive.

  • Because it's not going to happen. Look, I get it. People want Lee back. I want him back as well! But it's simply not possible, people should really stop posting these kinds of threads already.

  • It's been 2 years since Lee's death. Wouldn't there have been more rescue teams that would eventually meet up with Clem and others already?

  • Well, game, show and comics evidence be dammed....

  • Robert Kirkman confirmed there is NO cure. Telltale can not change this.

  • I agree, I'm reaching a bit and I know it's highly unlikely, but I just thought I'd post it here for fun. :)

  • My Clementine knew what needed to be done, and she did it.

    Lee is dead.

  • Actually Lee never spat blood which is somehing pretty interesting, maybe it's just a plothole.

  • Lee is super dead Clem ate him.

  • Robert Kirkman said there are no cures in the walking dead. The scene at the CDC confirmed that.

  • I finally figured out your trolling technique!

You draw people in with senseless, idiotic, useless drivel and then, once they take the bait, you berate them with an extensive vocabulary!

If only you would use your powers for good instead of evil!...

  • No Lee cannot pull a Kenny.

  • As much as I would really want Lee back his death is what made the ending to S1 one of the most emotional endings in any game, it worked very well and I think if he had lived it wouldn't have the same impact, it made millions of people cry and some people would feel like bringing him back would just make the ending to the first season meaningless, he's gone and it should be left that way. RIP Lee Everett.
