Virmire in Mass Effect was tough initially because it was that first, "This is some serious stuff," moment. Took me awhile to decide on that… more one. Mass Effect 3's ending. Regardless of what people say, it was tough to know that this epic journey was over. Finally Beyond Two Souls. When you find out who Aiden really is was pretty touching. So many moments you could list here!
I didn't comment in the last thread, so I'll throw out the five scenes that really got my feels flowing. In no particular order...
* Ka… moretjaa and Duck's deaths in Episode 3
* The entire final scene with Clem in the jewelry store in Episode 5
* Kenny sacrificing himself in Episode 5 (back when we didn't know he was alive)
Those three being The Walking Dead, they require no explanation.
* Grunt's last stand in Mass Effect 3. Regardless of whether or not he survives, seeing him fight to the death for me was rough. And in my game when I saw him stumble out of the caves alive, after holding the line for me? Manly Tears.
* The death of Atton Rand in KOTOR 2, accessible via the restored content mod (TSLRCM). I've had the game since it first released, and only recently got it for PC for the cut content mod. Atton had always been my favorite companion due to his cool backstory and constant sarcastic and humorous remarks. I laughed pretty much … [view original content]
Sorry only saw this now good question but also might ask maybe fact the gamer was expecting to see more of her and death scene came so fast made it more emotional.
For me could add 10-15 minutes the day before the wake up scene to add depth. Did seem at start ok i'm playing oh sh** zombie apocalypse maybe if more subtle introduction before see daily life of joel and sarah how they interacted with each other and there daily routines fit gameplay in as mini games like in dlc to keep players happy before zombie apocalypse
Do you think they would have been well off to build Sarah and Joel relationship somewhat more? Obviously it wasn't the main part of the stor… morey, but it was definitely the tone setting event and it would have been more depressing had we seen them together more. Even an extra 10-15 minutes would have been.... superior?
That a good point, is guess it being short did play into the surprise. I guess I just view it as the portion after the zombies appear is the only part that needs to be short in order to keep that surprise factor. Any interaction and time before that happens would just be an addition to their relationship with little otherwise, making the death sadder but no less surprising.
I didn't understand all of the last paragraph you posted, I apologize buddy

Lol alright I understand as long as you understand one word in whole paragraph I'll be happy
Gameplay starts the day before the scene where sarah wokes up
Get play through her daily routine and see how joel interacts with her and see the relationship they share
To make up for lack of gameplay Sarah will do minigames during the day.
But thanks for response and if don't understand just ask ok that's why I was so worried doing this list thread worried users wouldn't understand the descriptions I did. I really wanted them to really feel the moment and the thoughts I had as the scenes progressed in my moments.
Just wondering what you think of joel's decision to save ellie and your reaction to the news on the fact ellie going die for the cure

I agree. Playing out the entire previous day, not just the birthday gift scene, would have done wonders for depth and made the death secede much harder to swallow (even though it was extremely brutal on the feels as it was).
"Just wondering what you think of joel's decision to save ellie and your reaction to the news on the fact ellie going die for the cure"
The ending to this game was by far the most mind reeling ending I've ever played. There was soo much to take in, from the humanistic nature of Joel to the would be hero Marlene. Or was Joel the hero and Marlene the pragmatic villainess? Ellie was rescued by Joel, her life allowed to continue and keep fighting. Or would she have rather given her life? Be the cause of the cure and bring about the redemption of humanity? Backed up only more so by "I'm still waiting for my turn." (Which reminds me I still wish they had played out the dlc until Riley turned and ellie ended it!) To give my entire breakdown of the game and it's ending, the implication the ending meant for each character and all the theoretical ways it could have panned out, and my true idea of it all would take much longer than the time I have tonight

* When the player character's dad dies in Fallout 3.
Of course, these aren't in any order or anything. They all had different ways in which they had an effect on me. Oh, and I tried to keep some of my answers vague, in case people haven't played the games I've listed.
in the ending of me3, (i romanced garrus), and his "you gotta be kidding me" just had me sobbing.... such an emotional game, followed by Beyond then the last of us.
