  • Episode 5 wasn't that long actually

4&5 of season 1 looked endless, I loved that feeling!

  • Yes , but Season 1 was 5$ per episode and episodes were a lot longer than season 2 episodes

Well, look at other episodic things on the market, for example Assassins Creed III tyranny of king washington. One episode costed 20$, and

  • 2, 3 and 4 were incredibly long and incredibly good!. Hopefully Telltale redeems themselves by making 3, 4 and 5 of this Season much longer.

  • Give TTG a break, they have 4 franchises all at once!

  • Episode 1 S2 was very short and i was disappointed but ep2 was and felt longer. The point is, as long as we enjoy them then that is all that matters.

I too wish they would be longer episodes though

  • It kinda makes sense, considering the context of both episodes from Season 2.

But I didn't like Smoker and Mirror's lenght, though

  • Let's hope that next TWD episode is a lot longer than ep2

I think it's very likely, ep 3 sounds somewhat less "static" than 2 or 1, with all that prision and working stuff

While TTG episodes used to be longer, I feel like the density of meaningful content has increased quite a bit. Current episodes are more like movies: pretty much every scene has an actual purpose in the narrative.

I'll admit that occasionally I think back and realize that I would like the episodes to be longer, but then I remember one important thing:
I am getting more enjoyment out of this $25 package than I get out of most $60 packages.

  • though some people who dislike you for some reason will use it as a 'fuck you'

i reckon i'll get at least 2 seems no matter what i post i get them.

    Yep

  • i feel like twau ep2 and twd s2ep2 felt short, the story moved along ok and was a great experience but they felt to me at least unfinished like there was another chapter or another scene at least, to round it all off, but no i just stops and we get a preview trailer.

for the record twd s1ep1 and twds2 ep1 didn't feel to me 'short' they had a rounded of feel to them.

for example. twds1ep1 should've at least had us tail crane or see him go somewhere or have bigby react to something and go somewhere else. instead of just being left there.

and for twds2ep2 i felt we should've been taken to the camp and seen what's in store with an 'orientation meeting' that we have some option to interact with instead of it being cut and put in the trailer for the next ep.

feels to me that these things have been cut out to get the eps out faster due to the waiting more than 2 months and give them a bump up on the following episodes to increase the chances of quicker releases.

    apologies for my wild opinions.

All That Remains? Smoke and Mirrors? They were not horrible, but don't tell me they are of the best Telltale's produced. A House Divided was

  • well long because of the amount of walking at a slow pace through sections where nothing happens but a few 'look at this' hot-spots that did nothing but slow you down further,

which thinking about it more now, has been kept to a minimum in twd s2 and twau 'so far' and that is why i think they 'feel short' as they have kept everything smooth and quick between sections / scenario's with maybe a few moments to look around for 'clues/supplies/tools' giving us an optional break to calm the ol nerves.

example, clem's walking through the forest after a few steps we get a cutscene. and we meet doge.
example, bigby walks out of a building straight in to a cab or a cutscene shows him walking around the corner/streets to the club..

2, 3 and 4 were incredibly long and incredibly good!. Hopefully Telltale redeems themselves by making 3, 4 and 5 of this Season much longer.

  • For me, I don't think they are really shorter, it's partly because we're all just getting better at playing it.

Also with the reduction of the puzzles it takes us less time..
But I actually prefer less puzzles and more story.
    .

  • who cares about spelling correctly ?

    muehehehe lol

    sorry couldn't help myself..

  • More choices, more variables (in Episode 2's case)

It's not like they are killing anyone, is it? If you care so much about them, then why don't you sue some users for offending your feelings?

  • AFAIK they've different teams for every project.
Sometimes some people of a team helps in something for another team, but basically each game is indipendent.

Interesting, hope the drain of people isn't too much.

  • to make the game more seemless and keep the pace / tempo even and to keep us engaged.

Probably to make room for something else and more important. I assume that it's for more story branches, but I really can't confirm that.

  • twd s2 ep1 had the campsite which if you forget about sam can take ages to finish.

i took a good 20 minutes to figure out i needed to throw the frisbee more than once..

ep2 didn't have an area where you had to do something more than twice to progress or if it did i just worked it out quicker

  • a puzzle like clem stuck in the shed/ get supplies.

fairly easy to work out and do but with enough options to keep it enjoyable.

i have a feeling or just blind hope in 'carvers camp' we get to do the great escape type sourcing stuff and tools to escape/fight our way out.

of course it will have some 'penalties' if we get caught.

  • Theres less exploration and puzzles which cuts the time down. Also i noticed that when you explore in season one you also talk to each individual character. I don't think theres a problem as long as the episodes keep up the quality.

  • as far as ac 1 goes,

well i didn't hate it per se i just couldn't invest the time into it at the time lol still have the disc so probably will go back and at least finish the first game and then download the second game i got 'free' with games for gold on xbox.

  • You don't have to play Frisbee with Sam more than once; if at all, if I recall correctly, to advance the campsite scene. On some of my play runs of "All That Remains", I've only thrown the Frisbee once while examining everything else, and still triggered the event where Sam is barking at the tied up Walker on the tree.

  • Yes. I agree. The episodes are a bit too short now. I replayed episode 1 of season 1 last night, and it took me good 3 hours to complete it. However, with the newer episodes, I can complete them in about an hour and a half. Way took short.

  • Sorry but looks like you took your sweet time with ep1 because no way that episode would took 3 hours to beat.

  • Each episode in season 1 is at least 2 hours long except episode 4 and 5. Ep5 was good but very short, hour and a half i timed. Episode 4 was definitely the longest, it took me 2 and a half hours to complete and that was a speed run.

I just hope the rest of the episodes are as long.

  • Episode 4 had perfect length in my opinion.

  • well the first time it doesn't show you the 'trash can/oil drum bin'

which is why i said more than once because on the third throw it reveals the bin, otherwise it is not possible 'at least for me' to explore it with out knowing of it. and trust me i went everywhere.

this was the steam version right on release day.. so it could've been patched /changed since then.

  • You could be right about the patch thing on steam since I've never played the PC version,
but I played it on the PS3, which I believe came out on the same day as the one on steam, and examining the oil drum was actually the first thing I did when arriving at the camp site.

  • The amount of dislikes disagree

the episodes are perfect in length don't know what your talking about and if your saying sam and max are longer well sam and max cost more.

  • It's actually the possibility if you are bad at puzzles like me. Those damn batteries!!!
