What's with all the hate for bonnie?

I get it she's working with Carver but she seemed to regret betraying Walters trust and she seemed shocked when carver killed walter and even when walter gave her all the food she seemed to be having possible second thoughts.. So... shouldn't we hear her side of the story first? Because I really don't think she is gonna be a bad person.

But I don't know what's your opinion of her? do you think she is being tricked by carver? Do you hate her?

P.S sorry if something similar has been posted I was to lazy to look for any past discussions lol

  • I don't hate her. I am unsure were she stands Though so will see

  • Agreed. Too much hate on Bonnie when we have no idea what her side of the story is. To me Bonnie seemed to be a nice person and still should be. If anyone thinks differently I respect that but I disagree that just because she is with Carver she is evil.

  • lol its ok if you down vote me and disagree with me people but atleast explain your side lol don't just downvote and give no explanation

  • I don't hate her, nor do I dislike her. All I'm gonna say is this, a lot of people will change their opinions of her when ep 3 comes out. Call it a hunch:). She is most likely following Carver because she feels there aren't any other places where people are actually safe. It's also not out of the question for Carver to somehow manipulate her.

  • I don't think she's that bad. We don't know what Carver told her about the group, he may have even told her some terrible truth. I liked her in 400 days and hope we find out more in the next episode.

  • I didn't like her from the beginning.

  • She was in my least favorite story in 400 Days, so that may be why I dislike her even more now. I'm willing to hear her side of the story, but until then I reserve the right to dislike her for what she did. I'll decide if she can be forgiven or not after she comes clean.

  • As someone said before, Bonnie is just looking for someplace to belong to. We aren't completely sure yet but Tavia's group could be Carver's community. I think Bonnie was just happy to belong to a community and would do whatever she could to help. I liked Bonnie in 400 days but now we feel kind of betrayed by her because she's going against us.

  • I guess I just don't really care what her story is. She made a choice to betray us, and anything short of "WHOA, what the fuck?!" is an unacceptable response to the murder of an innocent. 'Shes weak' is the excuse I see the most, but I have no sympathy for that.

That said, I know she isn't evil, and I feel no need to see her dead. But, y'know, fuck her.

  • It's cool dude, I up-voted you. I understand how it is at times. Some decent users, I have learned so far on this website will actually come out point blank and say why they disagreed and will engage you in a one on one intelligent respectful debate but they are few and far in between however, while some other user's on here (possibly the majority) never have those kinds of balls to down-vote then come out of hiding in their closets and explain in confrontation to your face about why they disagreed. Unless they have a mob of their buddies that are in agreement backing their side with them that's the only way I've seen it or just your average internet troll strolling along doing their birthright duty. Just hide and dislike it's quick, simple, easy and takes no courage or backbone whatsoever.lol Just a wonderfully confident strategy that over flows with charming character I suppose and really shows the person whom you disagreed with that you stuck it to them I suppose. :D

  • It's hard to call what she did a "betrayal". She was already working for Carver and had already seen that there were people in the station. She offered to leave without taking any food as well, since that obviously wasn't her goal, so Walter's decision to give her food doesn't really factor into this. She didn't get the group to divulge any kind of special info that she told to Carver either. The most she did was lie about her intentions at the station. I suppose you can call that a "betrayal" in some fashion, but honestly, she has no loyalty to the group to violate in the first place. It'd be like saying the St. Johns betrayed us. An argument can certainly be made for it, but rarely would anyone frame it that way.

I guess I just don't really care what her story is. She made a choice to betray us, and anything short of "WHOA, what the fuck?!" is an unac

  • We did something nice for her, and she shit in our face. You can argue semantics all you like.

  • I still like Bonnie. She might've been a bitch but I think Carver MADE her do it so it's alright. And she's also really cute :3

  • Some people didn't like her much in 400 days but all the recent dislike of Bonnie comes from her being part of Carvers group, definitely. Personally I liked her in 400 days though I did feel her story seemed shorter than everyone elses and maybe that's why people weren't really able to form an opinion of her or get attached to her. I said all along when everyone was thinking she'll be weak and most likely to relapse/steal supplies, that she'll come out stronger. I totally get why seeing her with Carver has bought on this hatred, but like you said she does seem to feel guilty and remorseful so I think she deserves a chance and I do think people will warm to her in ep 3. I hope so anyway. I played my Bonnie as honest and trustworthy and I believe it was probably her being too trusting that got her into this sticky situation with Carver that she just doesn't know how to get out of. Plus that ep 3 clip with her with Clem looks promising... :)

Everyone hated Rebecca in episode 1 and softened to her in ep 2 so there's still time for people to warm to Bonnie :)

  • I honestly don't "hate" her but I don't "like" her either. Right now she is a meh.

  • what i find more interesting about bonnie is the suggestion that people should play 400 days to get ready for episode 2. beyond basically making a cameo appearance, was there really anything about bonnie showing up that had anything to do with 400 days beyond she was there too? the options when dealing with her were pointless, even if you suggest searching her for weapons and kenny agrees, nothing gets done. there's just a "bonnie will remember that" notification. yup, that'll mean about as much as the others have this season.

i'm not particularly fond of her, don't expect to be, although i did kind of like her in 400 days. personally, i blame the writing, rather than the character though. this season just seems to be trying as hard as it can to not answer whatever it can, to keep people interested when they throw little teaser tidbits out.

  • She's a white trash two-timing junkie liar, what's not to like?

  • It's because providing insightful, engaging and biting commentary while deviating from 4GIF.com no-content posts or regurgitated circle-jerk conversations filled with misspellings, poor punctuation and elemental banality isn't bannable.

  • I didn't mind Bonnie at first but then i found out she was scouting the ski lodge and she was with carver now were enemies for life.

  • she just got dem' eyes. Plus she's ginger

  • How did Dee put it? "You... fucking junkie!". So... Drunks are bad, M'kay?

  • I don't think she will be a bad person in the end. My guess is she will have a good reason for doing what she did. That doesn't change the fact she did it, and she deserves to be hated until she can prove beyond a doubt it was necessary, and even then chances are there will be some lingering feelings of mistrust and ill will.

Having second thoughts is ultimately pointless when you carry out an assault and then watch as an innocent man has his brains blown out without raising a single complaint. She also has no objections to Carlos' fingers being broken in front of his daughter or Carver putting a gun to a child's head. I'm not going to say I hate her, but really, there's no way I'm going to forget her apathy and lack of action when people were suffering in the coming episodes.

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • I'm more indifferent when it comes to Bonnie. She wasn't my favorite part of 400 days but I did enjoy her story. As far as what she did in episode 2, i'll wait until episode 3 to pass judgement. Carver could've told her anything about the group, she may have thought they were truly bad people for all we know. Also, if Carver has been providing her and her friends a place of safety and refuge then she's a lot more likely to believe him and follow him into a situation like that. I don't like what she did at all and if she doesn't at the very least apologize for what happened after spending time with the group, that's when it will start to turn to dislike.

  • I'm a bit mad at her, but I also forgive her too. Her reaction to Walter's death seemed like she was upset. And when Walter says "It's you" Bonnie looks down in disgrace but then says "Keep moving." Bonnie seemed like a good person in 400 Days, and I still think she is. When Carver's group was making the cabin group do all of their "chores" Clem and Bonnie were smiling, which means Bonnie probably let her off the hook for something because she didn't want to make her do one of Carver's "chores." I'm 99% sure she's just being forced to do all of this by Carver.

  • Well, she didn't did a shit to save Walter nor she did leave Carver, so fuck her.
