Guns not allowed here and I don't know much about them. So I probably would have to go all melee on them. I would probably make a spear out … moreof some metal and long stick then sharpen it. But that would take a while. If I needed to grab a weapon in my house then this will explain it all.
Oh and if you couldn't see hes holding a hammer.
You can put a silencer on any kind of semi-auto pistol. It makes it harder to pinpoint the shooter's location, but the shot will still break the sound barrier and create a sonic boom. Plus shooting a Desert Eagles starts to hurt after about 3-4 shots, assuming the recoil feels similar to a .44 Magnum.
Nice! Believe it or not, the choice of what boots to use is probably even more important than the choice of weapon. My Boy Scout troop had a saying "If you have dry feet and a full stomach, then you've got the world by the balls."
A Winchester Model 70 featherweight Rifle, ( 308 caliber).
A Smith&Wesson 1911 pistol, ( Caliber 45 ACP)
And a Smith&Wesson Extrac… moretion & Evasion Tomahawk.
The following are just some other things I'd be sure to have with me....
My Leatherman multi-tool, with flashlight.
A pair of handcuffs,( Never know what I might need them for).
A cigarette lighter.
Clothes I'd be wearing....
.... A RedHead Explorer Camo fleece Jacket,( For winter mostly).
.... A Black T shirt.
.... A pair of Blue Jeans, ( As their tough, comfortable and durable).
.... A pair of Irish Setter Vipr Trek water proof Hunting Boots, ( Not only are they tough and durable, but they're also built for being able to take off running if need be, unlike other boots that are difficult to run in).
Or if you had no glue you could tape it. You could use a tree branch, PVC pipe, just about anything sturdy really. Spears are definitely an easy to make must have.
Not a gun anyway, you would need to keep the damn thing sparkling or risk getting back fire. Not to mention keeping stock of ammo. My weapon of choice would be a nice sharp katana or a Hockey stick. Or (for firearms) one of those modern crossbows - they're pretty cool and silent, but again you need to keep stock of ammo (although i suppose you can retrieve most of the arrows you fire if they don't break on impact.) and it's fairly big/annoying to carry or run with also a pain to reload and i would personally need to learn how to fire it, probably would only take a few weeks practice but still - a few weeks in an apoc is two weeks i wouldn't have.
It all depends. I'm currently trying to see how long I can go without cleaning my 10/22. So far, it's burned through 500+.rounds of cheap .22 ammo with only a couple of jams. Glocks, AK's and Mosin Nagants are much the same from what I hear. Agree about the ammo though. It also weighs a ton, especially if you're using larger rounds like 9mm or .223.
Crossbows are cool, but a pain in the ass to load.

Going off what I have in my house at the moment, I would use the thickest curtain rod I could find or dismantle my parents' bed and use one of the cross-beams.

Haha, true. The Soviets and their allies weren't (usually) known for their craftsmanship, especially at the height of WWII. I would never use one in a SHTF scenario anyway, they kick like a mule! One of my friends owns one and it's a thoroughly unpleasant gun to shoot.
I'd still be crapping myself with an un-cleaned gun, never knowing for sure if it was going to fire, jam, or back fire. At least a hockey wont blow up in my face lol.

Exactly BigBlindMax!
In survival situation, keeping your feet and legs protected is job 1.
If your feet, legs or both get fucked up, you will not be able to move, which means you won't be able to get food, gather firewood or anything else, which is a death sentence in that case.

Nah, I've always been quite partial to the shovel. I did find it to be a nice addition that SOMEONE actually used one though. Shovels are everywhere, I can't believe they are so underused in TWD.

melee: ice pick
fire arm: crossbow
An ice pick? That's a dangerous melee weapon, you stay too close to the walkers.
True but it's has advantages for traveling. It's better than a bread knife in some ways.
They messed up that scene in the show I feel. Why wouldnt any bite him? Most are just stood next to him.
In the comic it was just one panel so it didnt look so strange
A bread knife XD. I'd rather prefere a butcher knife or a machete
Ikea stool. Deadliest weapon of all.

Freakin' Crossbow all the way.
I think I'd go Gordon Freeman style and rock a crowbar for melee. They're sturdy and would be useful outside of fighting.
For ranged, I'd go with a compound bow. It was my favorite bow to work with when I was an archery instructor at Girl Scout camp.
Wit.
When you see the forest for the trees, you're able to chop down practically all obstacles at one fell swoop.

I think the one's downvoting me might have a crush on me. XD

the most deadliest weapon of them all is Morgan Freeman's voice, those zombies would drop so fast the moment they here his god like voice.
'Apache' Revolver. Old-timey hoodlums in Paris used them to hold up rich folks.

The Mosin Nagant is actually a pretty shitty gun if you get a mass produced one. If you get a good one they're not a bad rifle at all though.
Thanks for the mental image.
I want it, and i want it, NOW!

Would a recording work?

The correct answer was Necromancy.
An entrenchment tool wouldn't be a bad choice either.
