Can **** be trusted?
Alright, I know all you kenny fans won't like this. But am I the only one who thinks that Kenny seems different? I know he has been through a lot, but I think he may be losing it a little. Do you think Clem will be able to trust him? I have a feeling kenny will do something dumb later in the game,

From the looks of Episode 3's trailer that "dumb" thing he'll do is try to start a revolt in Carver's camp.
Trust a man who risked his life for someone he hated and ruined his life in Ben. Personally always trust kenny type of person who would never hide what his feeling and always brutally honest no matter the consequence. But I am suspicious about how he survived seems trying to hide something.
I'd trust normal Season 1 Kenny any day of the week. We were bros in my game.
But Season 2 Kenny is different. He's definitely off, and I'm not sure I'd feel safe with him. He's probably got some serious issues after Season 1 making him unstable and unreliable. Still, I'm gonna stick with him and help him through whatever is wrong with him even if I don't exactly trust him not to snap or anything.
Kenny is the only one you can trust.
Everyone else is a potential turncoat and therefore expendable.
Will you follow Kenny?
I would trust Kenny with my life. Even when hated both Lee and Ben, he chose to help them both (at least in my playthrough). He is different, but also the same. And he probably cares for Clementine anyway.
And I'm not a Kenny fan either.
I would trust Kenny before i would trust any people in the new group.
Kenny has a place in my heart like Clementine and Lee,so yes i trust that son of a bitch...
Lee trusted him, but I'm not sure Clementine does.
Things could get a bit tense between my Canon Clem and the new Kenny. In Season One, Lee tried to stay neutral in the motor inn conflict, so he and Kenny had a rather cold relationship and only made peace with one another in Episode 5. After Kenny was seemingly lost to the horde while saving Ben, Lee admitted that he saw him as a good, brave individual, despite his faults. Remember that Clementine isn't there to see this huge bit of character development. The last time she saw Kenny was probably when he was trying to kill Ben. She remembers Kenny as being rash and unapologetic. When Sarita asked her whether he'd changed, Clem replied "He's still the same old Kenny." Honestly, I can't tell if she meant that as a good thing or not.
Also, did anyone notice that Kenny has no self-awareness in the Episode 3 teaser? Despite trying so hard to turn over a new leaf, he lapses back into the same habits. It actually made me a but nostalgic. "Yep, he's still the same old Kenny alright." I hope Clementine has a chance to remind him that she's not Lee and therefore not going to let him push her around.
Yes, I'll trust him to the end. Can you trust the cabin group? They've been hiding too much stuff since the start, they got Matthew killed, they brought all this trouble to the ski lodge without mentioning they were being followed, eventually getting Walter killed too.

Good point. As much as I like the cabin group, their collective IQ is comparable to brain-damaged Goldfish.
Since Kenny had my back in the 1st game, I have no reason to think he won't have have my back in the 2nd.
I don't really blame him for being a suspicious a-hole, but Kenny blew it with me when he took out that lackey. Utterly pointless. If anything, he should have held out for a clear shot at Carver, or not taken any shot at all. Kenny got his friend killed.
Couldn't agree more. It kinda reflects his overall impulsive tendencies. You don't piss off the hostage-taker, you wait for a opening and kill him. His intentions were good, but much like a certain character from one of Telltale's franchises, even when he helps "things end up more fucked than they started."
You can trust him to not betray Clem, he just might not be reliable in certain situations considering how on-edge he seems.
I trust him to a point .
That Shitbird...
Maybe, but Nick is still the official winner of the Ben Paul Memorial Shitbird Award, this episode.
Such a great honer...
Of course you can!
He seems happier than he was before , i don't think we even heard Kenny laugh in Season 1

I think that Kenny would protect Clementine as much as possible but he does have the tendency to do things without thinking about the repercussions, He shot and killed Johnny which led to Walter's death in a eye for a eye revenge attack by Carver and he would have attempted to shoot at Carver which could have gotten Alvin killed if he hadn't stopped him, I feel that Kenny could get hot headed towards Carver which could cause more problems in the long run.
I love Kenny, but I don't trust him. And I have a feeling he's going to cause a lot of problems this season because of his instability.
In S1, I feel like Lee played a huge part in helping Kenny accept the deaths of Katjaa and Duck. From the moment on the train, to shooting Duck, to the boy in the attic, to even the situation with the boat, Lee tried to push Kenny to accept what happened and stop living in denial. Whether you were BFFs with Kenny or he hated your guts, Lee still tried to help him. And even after what happened with the boat, I personally feel like it was working and Kenny was slowly healing. A example of this is his (determinant) forgiveness of Ben.
Then he gets separated from the group and was on his own for a very long time. God only knows what this did to this state of mind, and it's pretty clear by his reaction (when Clem asks him about it) and Sarita's comment that he was not in good shape, both physically and mentally. Any progress he made when he was with Lee and company has completely regressed.. Like when he talks about "shitbird" Ben. Like BigBlindMax mentioned, he's lapsed into his old habits, but they're even worse this time because of his deteriorated mental state.
Now it seems that Kenny is back to being in a huge state of denial, and also seems to want to rebuild his past life with Sarita (as a replacement Katjaa) and Clem (as a replacement Duck). He was super protective of his family in the first season, and most of his questionable decisions were driven by this (salt-licking Larry, for example). He'll definitely do the same for his "replacement" family, but since he is so unhinged, the results are going to be bad. If his little meltdown at dinner with Luke/Nick was any indication, he won't be too happy about others threatening his relationship with Clementine.
So yeah. I love Kenny, but I don't trust him. He has a good heart and would probably do anything to keep Clem safe, but with catastrophic consequences for other characters.
Kenny has a god-like moustache and beard, nothing can go wrong.
I barely noticed Kenny acting weird at all, to be honest. If anything he seemed weirdly nice to me.
Then again I didn't trust him in Season 1, especially past Episode 3, where he decided he'd gladly let me die for the unforgivable crime of not always agreeing with him. And past a certain point, I was disagreeing with him mostly because he was so shitty and so unstable that I couldn't believe a word he said. (Then he said he wouldn't go help Clementine because of me not agreeing with him, and that was kinda the nail in the coffin. Anyone who'd put a 9-year-old in danger for the sake of a grudge against an unrelated adult is, to me, irredeemable.)
With that being said I think Clem would trust him more, but...hell if I'm going to be nice to him because I think it's what Clem would do, lol. I want to keep her safe (and Kenny would certainly protect her), but I also want her to hold onto some semblance of morality. If she hangs with Kenny it'll only be a matter of time before "We gotta burn down the orphanage, Clementine! It's the only way! You gotta have my back on this one!!"
Is that him laughing about his joke about the food?
I think it's when they're talking before the fireplace. After Clementine says "Christa told me you were dead", he answers "I am. This is all a dream" and then he laugh.
I am not sure how much I trust Kenny not to screw up. But I trust him not to screw me over. It was good enough for me regarding Ben and Nick. And it's still now good enough for me regarding Kenny.
Plus, he probably will lose it faster and harder and worse if Clementine mistrusts him or hates him and shows it. He may not necessarily be family to her, but she is family to him.
His laugh is almost a little to jolly...Plot twist Kenny is Santa Claus. But seriously though his laugh irked me as a bit creepy and abnormal.
Yeah, but Nick was just protecting his friends, we get it.
Yeah, I felt the same way when I first heard it. But now I can't help picking that line every time only to hear his laugh, lol. It's priceless.
He's just really impulsive and that has an impact of leading people to danger, like when he got Walter killed. He needs more self-control.
To Skeletori.
You make a very convincing argument.
Though I personally am still willing to give him the benefit of a doubt.
And help him heal from the shit he suffered in season 1.
Honestly I think with Lee at his side, Kenny would be healed from his depressed mental state by now.
Lee had a good affect on Kenny, in that he was calm, patient and reasonable, which served as the perfect counter weight to Kenny's impulsive and quick temperdness.
Kenny and my Lee were BFF's, and it is for that reason I wish Lee survived season 1.
Personally, I enjoyed being able to help Kenny through that difficult time.
And it would've been interesting to have reunited with him, as Lee, with Clementine at my side.
Especially, the following conversation in front of the fire and at dinner.
To be honest, I don't see why the writers killed Lee off.
What would've been the big deal with having him survive to season 2?
I think it would make the 2nd season a lot more interesting.
Particularly since Clementine saw Lee as a father figure, it would've been interesting to have faced the challenges of season 2, respond to them, and see what influence Lee responses to those situations have on Clementine.
True...that was just Kenny beeing Kenny...he likes to take action and doesn't hesitate i dangerous situation to make certain decisions. He always had this kind of Temper.
About trusting him, ofcourse Kenny is trustworthy. He had always been there for me and always had my back when it mattered. He might be a little bit " different " now, in some ways, but that's just normal after all the horrible things he has been though. Clementine changed alot herself, many people seem to forget that. Clem is like family to Kenny, he would do everything to protect her!
Respectfully, I disagree with you about Kenny.
When it came down to what happened to Herschel's son, Kenny felt sincere heartfelt regret, and also felt he was responsible for the boys death.
When Ben fell in the alleyway, Kenny put his malice aside and tried to help him.
And when Carver took everyone hostage, Kenny tried to save them.
Those thing show Kenny has principles.
No. He got Alvin killed in some people's games and that is not on.
I honestly dont know as clem says Its been a while. My Lee couldnt rely on Kenny at all, he didnt help me find clem all over me not immeidtaly splatting an old mans face and dropping a scared teenager to his death.
I literally agreed with Kenny on pretty much everything else. So yes/no no i dont feel I can rely on Kenny if it was up to him Alvin would be dead if Clem hadnt stepped in
Trust Kenny? Sure... kinda, he maybe losing it, but daemn i trust him a lot more than any of the cabin group, i don't know will i trust my whole life for him, cause if Kenny's onna get situation to save Clem or Sarita, im sure he's gonna pick Sarita 97%. so i wouldn't say he is Clems new 'Lee' or 'caretaker'. Clems still alone when its come down of surviving the apocalypse. But i think its better to be Kennys good side.
At this point I can't say for sure whether I trust Kenny or not, but I'd rather not be forced to take his side if I can help it, especially with his issue with holding grudges if someone doesn't agree with him.
His original persona is starting to resurface after meeting Clementine again, and judging by his attitude towards Clementine at the Episode 3 preview and his behaviour towards Luke and Nick (not to mention the unexplained disappearance of Luke after his 'argument' with Kenny), I'm starting to think that he'll be back to his shenanigans again.
I chose the "Same old Kenny" response when Sarita asked Clementine about him. Something definitely feels off about Kenny, but being honest, he was always kind of a jerk. As Lee, I started to feel as though I had to constantly be walking on eggshells around him, because every time I dared to disagree with him, he got pissed off and eventually did something spiteful. I did try to take care of him, though, because his family clearly meant everything to him, and I respected that.
