  • I don't think going there was a good idea at all, I keep thinking of the St. Johns and I was little creeped out by the woman at the end who met them...... of course overly friendly people like that always tend to make me feel uncomfortable. But we will see....

I think terminus is a trap set by the hunters since the hunters are ment to be introduced at this point and they will be eating beth like they ate dale

like you said yourself its too early for alexandria to be introduced and they won't rush it cause then they will catch up with the comics and then there is a problem

Am I the only one who thinks that Terminus might be Alexandria? Think about it. The TV production is set up to shoot in Georgia. They can't

  • Yeah, I'm getting a Man on Fire, killed the only person who gave me a reason to think living was worth it vibe from this and that makes me really mad. If it happens, though, that means Daryl dies soon after because that's pretty much the only road they can take there.

I thought it'd have been neat if they'd flipped the script and had Daryl get abducted and Beth have to go through a trial by fire to save him. She'd have his crossbow and an injured leg, but she'd prevail in the end and that'd be a neat thematic twist.

Oh, "Still" was actually my least favorite episode of the Season so far, but I still like Beth's character. Unfortunately, it looks like it's leading up to her death, but hopefully that won't happen.

  • It's supposed to be a morale thing, I think. Provide a sense of normalcy for the group. Even if its awkward.

The alcohol thing, to me, was her trying to find an immediate goal with a desirable solution. She knew her dad found great peace in alcohol and so she wanted to give it a shot. Not the best option, but understandable. At least to me.

It's actually not all that early for Alexandria. The Ben and Billy situation happens in issue 61. That just happened on TV. They meet the rep from Alexandria in issue 67 (arriving there in issue 69). The only thing that happens in between the Ben and Billy issue and going to Alexandria is the story about the Hunters. They could easily push the Hunters story into Alexandria at which point there would be no more plot to get through. Terminus could very easily be Alexandria.

  • I think Glenn and Maggie burning the picture of Maggie is foreshadowing to her death. Hell, the fact that they burn it could mean she ends up being served by the Hunters/Terminus people.

Its almost certainly the cannibals, the question is who are they eating. I feel Beth would be too predictable. I still assume its maggie thats dying in the finale

  • ^ I dont trust that face ONE bit.. Its going to be the dairy farm all over again.

  • Shit meet fan.

  • I think they are directly linked, because they seemed like just regular innocent pictures, but WHY would they be there in the first place if it wasn't for a reason. Michonne panicking over a strange picture and then proceed to stare at it. It seems like good hints on what's about to happen, just like telltale does in the beginning of every episode in season 1.

Question, do you think those pictures are directly linked to Terminus and Mary, or do you think it was just clever foreshadowing?

  • Kirkman confirmed in an AMA that Season 4 will end on a cliffhanger (source). So yeah, things aren't gonna go well.

My theory is we only see Rick, Michonne,Carl and Daryl/Joe and there group

Towards the end they reach terminus sit down and eat, then they are knocked out and all locked up. Rick comes round and notices Glenn is in the cage next to him.

Glenn: Tell me you didnt eat it....

    Rick: What?

    Glenn: tell me

Rick looks around and see's whats left of Maggie.

Thats my assumption anyway, the cliffhanger is they are all locked up, someone is definitely getting eaten though. My guess is either Beth if she's there or Maggie due to the rumours and foreshadowing from them burning that picture.

  • I know, but do you think there there was a reason within the show? Perhaps they were painted post apocalypse by someone who escaped Terminus? Or do you think that it was just foreshadowing and nothing more?

    Oh, i see your point. Well, i can't tell for sure but i do believe that it might have been something like that, yeah. I mean there is cannibals or just crazy people in general all around us at all times. So if this Mary girl got suspected for doing something strange, such as being accused of cannibalism i could definitely see someone paint her of in pure disgust and hatred. The sunflowers however is only foreshadowing, i mean anyone could have sunflowers in their home. Also i doubt that Terminus was actually a place before the apocalypse though, it feels like something just out of what looks like an old fire station and the letters looks they've just been painted on there, probably recently as well, along with the maps they put out to lure people there. I mean, no hunting and free food? Why not? Also, i got a pic of terminus here;

EDIT: Jesus, i'm blind. Just now i saw you said POST apocalypse, not before... silly me. Oh well, i doubt that anyone survives terminus, and if someone would survive from that place it seems a little far-fetched for a person to do a painting of her and then destroy it, and so far away from the place as well. But i guess it is possible

  • I don't understand how this can be disliked 0/1 what the hell trolldownvoters.. Anyhow, this guy right here placed all the arguments in one place. I've been thinking in the same lines, how can they keep a child safe when they can barely protect themselves, how can they keep getting baby formula or let another woman breastfeed enough to keep her alive? Because as you people should know, it's gonna be quite hard providing enough milk to the baby if the woman has not been pregnant. I suppose it's possible, but hard. The crying is a HUGE liability. It's like putting a big siren on a group members back. And most importantly, how will they keep getting new actresses for her? She has already had like 2-3 different actresses. Is she supposed to have a new one every single time skip they have? I'm very surprised as well that they have kept her alive for this long, i was sure that when they found the bloody baby-carrier she was long gone.

Here's some other potential foreshadowing to consider: The music that played when they entered Terminus.

Thomas Golubic (the guy who helps pick the show's music) told Radio.com about the choice of “Be Not So Fearful”.

“Figuring out the right tone for the arrival to Terminus was tricky,” he said. “They enter the compound guns drawn, wary, and for good reason. As signs of civilization appear, planters, a smoking barbecue, and a warm greeting, they lower their guard. We didn’t want to make the scene triumphant, since nobody knows whether this is truly a safe haven or another dark turn. Bill Fay’s song ‘Be Not So Fearful’ is actually a sad and comforting song. Almost like a lullaby for a scared child.

Here is the original version of the song (the one in the show is a cover done specifically for the show):

Be not so nervous, be not so frail

Someone watches you, you will not fail

Be not so nervous, be not so frail

Be not so nervous, be not so frail

Be not so sorry for what you've done

You must forget them now, it's done

And when you wake up, you will find you can run

Be not so sorry for what you've done

Be not so fearful, be not so pale

Someone watches you, you will not leave the rails

Be not so fearful, be not so pale

Be not so fearful, be not so pale

Be not so sorry, for what you've done

You must forget them now, it's done

And when you wake up, you will find you can run

Be not so sorry for what you've done

    .

Now, of course, a song like that seems like it's foreshadowing something positive. However, as we've seen a few times in this IP (even in the games), nearly everything that first appears good and wholesome proves corrupted and deadly upon closer inspection....

Music is a big part of that very intentional irony. For example, in "A House Divided", the "Good King Wenceslas" Christmas carol seems to symbolize Walter's saintlike generosity... but unlike what happens in the Christmas carol, Walter's kindness to Bonnie doesn't exactly lead to any "blessings" for him (or the group).

In this context of assuming every indicator of something good in fact foreshadows something dire, I'm very unnerved by the repeated "someone watches you", plus the lines "you will not leave the rails" and "when you wake up you will find you can run"...

I'm starting to think we might not just lose a major character, but more like several... =/

Terminus is definitely bad news without a doubt. Even the name of it sounds kinda bad-news-bears.

-with ONE episode left, what other way to reign viewers into a new season but with anything other than CANNIBAL MEAT LOCKER DEATH CAMP!!?!?!? YAAAAAAAY!!!!!?!!?!

-It was WAAAAY too quiet and seemingly abandoned for a place that was offering limitless sanctuary.

-WIth the way society has gone downhill, no one would offer something so peaceful and hopeful with a defensive set up that just allowed people to walk right in off the streets.

-One of my friends mentioned that the barbed wire was pointed inward so that people couldn't get out, not the opposite to keep THINGS out.
Not to mention I haven't really seen any zombies attempting to climb barbed wire fences this entire time.

-I'm betting they'll get locked up the first two groups with Maggie, and then Rick's group and then Darryl and his new ratpack with fuck shit up and then the ratpack after saving everyone will turn on 'em cause drama/another fight and bablahbalablhbah.

I wonder if they're who kidnapped Beth and possibly ate her already lol. I don't know. We'llllll see.

But yeah, again, if Terminus were all sunshine and unicorn farts--there wouldn't be a definite clincher keeping people interested in another season of the show.

  • i wish.

  • maybe someone went to terminus with there family, and while they were that person painted a picture of creaper lady because they used to be an artist or they were bored. then one day this person found out Mary was a cannibal because she ate there whole family. so that person grabbed all there stuff and the painting and escaped.

then they found that house(the one michonne was in) and took out this painting and in anger, the did all that blood stuff to it cuz that creaper lady just ate their family.

I just randomly thought of this and made it up as i went along, just thought i should share it. :P
