I'm just thinking: What if TT builds up Carver as a main antagonist and when the conflict reaches its height, we discover that Carver rescue… mored Christa from the Scavengers in Episode 1. Remember the river? What if Christa ends up being sympathetic to Carvers cause? Everything Carver wants is the safety of his (presumed) child and Christa definitly knows what it feels like to lose a child.
Y'know, I wrote a fanfic where she was stabbed in the leg, and then she and Omid (who was still alive) were captured by Carver's group (while Clem was with the the cabin group). In Carver's group, they stitched up her leg, and then pretty much tried to use Christa as their sex slave at one point, but she kicked the guy who tried to touch her in the face, and he ripped her stitches out. That caused a pain... Lots of pain.
If she does return, I'm fairly sure she'll have an injury in her leg, either from being stabbed with Winston's spear or shot by Ralph or Vic… moretor, which I'll assume happened just so that TellTale could keep the leg injury and probably use it against her later on.
I think she is, but I have a feeling she did get shot at. Something tells me when we see her, she'll be in an even more terrible state. And probably not able to even walk.
?? Unless they stabbed her, shot her, then dragged her body with them while chasing after Clementine, she would most definitely not be with them at the river. She would be in the middle of the forest with a hole in her head.
Also, your spear theory makes no sense. Why would Winston leave the spear in some dead girl's back? Sorry if I'm just not getting what you're saying but I'm just really confused?? Unless the whole forest flooded or they decided to drag her body with them, I just don't see it plausible.

If instead you try to sneak away one of them stabs Christa in the back with a rifles bayonet. I think those guys were just out to kill people and take their stuff, if you fail to escape from the one who chases Clementine he kills her in cold blood and shows no mercy when he shoots her.

She disagreed with most of his plans and got irritated that he wouldn't calm down, if I remember correctly.
Combine that with the fact that they knew each other for about 2 days while the apocalypse has lasted for over 2 years by this point and that she is less trusting of everyone since the Omid incident occurred, and I'm not sure she'd be entirely thrilled to see him once more.

i really hope so,im trying on my playthrough to reunite whats left of the original group so i always answer'im trying to find Christa' etc e… moretc, a good scenario would be Kenny and Lilly on the same page,with Christa and Clem and possibly adding some of the new group to the old one.
My gut says she's dead. The fact being that if you try to save Christa, you hear a struggle then a single gunshot. If you leave her she gets stabbed in the leg, no struggle is heard, and one gunshot is heard. This leads me to believe she just died off-screen and you know what I'm fine with that.
I like the idea of having a character killed off-screen with no fanfare. Makes the world seem more real and depressing. The vast majority of the people in these situations would go out like that. Christa is dead and Clementine (And by extension the player) will never find out what happened to her.

It would make the most sense and be the most beneficial for her to come back in episode 4 though, since Rebecca's having her baby, and I sure don't want Clem to be the one to deliver it, plus they're heading to a civil war museum which Christa might visit because of Omid, like others have already said. I'd also like some time to actually see Christa interact with our current group too.
Luke and Christa are both quite thoughtful, planning people, whereas Kenny tends to rush into things which can get people killed. He also tends to be quite vengeful with Ben and Carver etc. , and the way he treated Carver just kinda disturbed me to be perfectly honest, I would just have shot him in the face....Kenny seemed almost to enjoy it
