City vs. Countryside

I was on my way home a little bit ago and I thought about something. Where would you go during the Apocalypse? Would you go to a city, or the country side? Explain your answer. In my opinion, I would go to the countryside. Because not many people live in the countryside, thus there won't be a lot of reanimated people. The countryside is spread out too

  • Countryside, or maybe the outskirts of a small town, but only after thoroughly raiding the suburbs for supplies.

  • As much as I love the city, the countryside sounds like the best place to live on land. It'd be possible to grow your own food and find clean water.

  • Countryside. Cities make it harder to survive.

  • Both have desirable perks in a ZA and also downsides. The City has A) More Zombies B) More chance of meeting assholes C) And linear streets but also A) Gather resources by scavenging. B) More health supplies And C) high ground The country side also has A) Less zombies B) Isolation and C) Range to go anywhere but has A) Having to hunt for food. B) Less people C) Less of a chance to find medical supplies. So with that I'd probably go country side.

  • What if the walkers eat crops? :O

  • Completely flat countryside. People are few and far between, and those who are there you'll see coming from a mile away.

Good thing that kind of landscape is basically all there is here. Being already near the northernmost point of Denmark, I'd probably just move all the way up north to have sea on one side and flat land on the other.

  • Its perfect here for flat countryside, but living in the middle of the United States, you're not going to have the luxury of having a sea for protection.

  • Definitely not a city. Too many people. And that makes a lot of walkers. I'd say a small town or the countryside that is very close to a small town. Gotta get supplies, eh? I'd probably move if I noticed that walkers increased.

Certainly shouldn't be anywhere near a big city, too many people. Being on the outskirts of a small city could be beneficial though...

  • Who would go to a city?

  • the remaining people seem to be grabbing items form the abandon stores. I would go to the countryside and build a home in the trees and make sure its hidden. not a tree house for a kid but something bigger.

  • Countryside as I do live out in the country in real life, it would take a bit of driving to get to abandoned towns to loot for supplies but less people means less walkers or zombies.
