A newborn isn't going to be transgendered (well, actually, that can be a nature or nurture argument, but point is the baby wouldn't have a c… moreoncept of gender at that point).
Intersex usually means a baby with 'ambiguous genitalia,' and oftentimes the child would get surgery early on to match the genitals of one sex, usually the one closest to the one it's they're born with. Their name generally corresponds to the gender they're going to be raised as.
Not all transgendered people use the other version of their name. Some do (Larry/Lana Wachowski). Some don't (Stan/Loretta).
