I got caught up at work today and did not get a chance to check the forum. Where is the link to the trailer? I've been looking but the only thing I can find is some screen shot.
I was thinking to myself I wonder how TTG would survive if it ever grew in to a publicly traded company. Share holders would tear them a new one with the slow drip of news. It would almost be like apple hosting their yearly event then just showing a screen shot of the new iPhone instead of a real time performance advertisement.
Was there any indication of a release date in any of the twitter/Facebook tweets?

I do not appreciate that. It's because, the mods or TT Staff don't implement captcha to remove spambots or trolls.
And the TT Staff needs to set more mods for more safety in this forum.
They are many great tools to make a forum more safe.

I do..... I will concede however I have been away for a long time and access to the internet has been sketchy. I thought the Thursday announcement was earmarked as big news in the past week. To me big news is not a few screen shots. It looks like though I most likely became confused by someone posting BIG news Thursday when TTG just promoting a sneak peek. I will edit my post reflect this.
They just released three screenshots and a teaser image, alongside announcing that more information will come shortly.
If you count that as a "fuck up" than fine, but to be fair a "sneak peak" does not usually indicate "big news."
I agree we need more mods. However, mods are only community volunteers so we have little to no say in website functionality. We just enforce the rules in our free time out of our appreciation for Telltale.
Disabling images was the best measure Telltale (in other words, not the volunteer mods) could take for now. Improvements on our end are coming, but until then, you just have to wait.

No need to be so polite. ;)
We weren't given a specific timeframe, but it genuinely sounds sooner than later. As soon as we get our improved mod tools which have already been in the works prior to this, images/videos/links/etc should come back.
I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say regarding the tools, but I will say that some ideas people have suggested today have already been in the works.
We don't really add moderators just because people ask to become one.
Usually, we just pick people who demonstrate good potential for becoming a moderator on their own.
Yeah, but I don't think that's foolproof guarantee.*A Crooked Mile* came out on what could be considered the second week of April, although it was still indeed on the 1-8 range.
So I'm not very friendly/polite/smart/active?
Well thats not smart of TT Staff sideways.
Well for example, MattP is not very active and is a Blogger, Mod and TT Staff.
Well do what you do, you, or TT Staff won't pick mea. :D

Hmm, sounds good then. Hopefully with the improved mod tools, it'll be harder for those pesky trolls to try something.
Interesting, so it seems like you guys will be getting some pretty cool stuff to help you out. Thanks for the info, Blind Sniper. As always, keep up the good work, man!

Jokes aside though, I never really specified what you said as requirements. Oh, and most Telltale employees probably aren't active on the forums because they are doing their jobs. Puzzlebox, however, is the Community Specialist of Telltale - therefore she gets to hang out on the forums more.

Waiting for the next episode is like ordering a steak at restaurant you helped put on the map.
Basically you watch TTG cook up some good bull (news on the next episode) then add a pinch of shit (completely cutting off communication for months). Then like a good kick to the nuts TTG serves a different table (TWAU) with their meal (next episode) before you. As a customer you begin to question of the establishment (TTG) loyalty since it was TWD fans who elevated TTG from food truck status to a 4 star restaurant. Finally you see the waiter (Job Staffer) getting some plates in order (episode news) before taking a break (another period of no communication) handing our plates off to a different waitress (Laura) who delivers our meal (News) wrapped in foil (very vague). Finally the hungry customer (TWD season pass owner) simmering after the long wait unwraps the foil to find a sandwich (screen shot) in place of where a steak (trailer) should be. Pissed the customer (Season pass owner) complains and after a few days or weeks a new plate is brought out with a steak (next update trailer) on it. Excited the customer (Season Pass owner) bites in to his steak (trailer) realizing he is missing the steak sauce (Release Date). The customer (Season pass owner) waits, and waits, and waits. Simmering to the brim just before the breaking point the waiter (Job Staffer) arrives to tell the customer that the steak sauce (Release Date) will here soon (TTG famous use of the word "Soon")....................
So basically most of us have been waiting for our steak (next episode trailer) to come to the table by the waiter or waitress.
Well they did call it a sneak peek and we knew that it would be either screens or a vine maybe. As far as these pics go they are big news to me and many others, it signifies that a trailer is next followed by release. I can see how you may have assumed that the big hype over "big news" was something more significant, but in the end it is so because it's actually the first of any info we have received since "next time on twd" from ep2.

I agree with the cut off of any communication between them and ourselves, it's just not right. In the end though we know how they run their shop and we're just along for the ride I suppose considering all the bitching we do and still no updates even if just on a month to month basis.
Here is a good analogy this reoccurring process.

Shitty metaphors, especially since you had to add brackets with the literal meanings to make sure it didn't sound like absolute non-sensical bullshit (didn't quite work though. Still getting non-sensical bullshit coming through) .
How, you say, did they distribute material unfairly between us and The Wolf Among Us? They take rotations between us and them, it's the way things work around here. Your self-entitlement, arrogant disregard for people who've been waiting as long as we have for episodes and oblivious yet discernible attempt at sounding like some sort of righteous asshole and trying to rally, "supporters," will only resort in people like me telling you to do something other than bitch all day.
Telltale's working their ass off on the games they're making right now (I know we're all sore about them going off and making Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands when they said they would only be focusing on ours and twau, but we have to accept that this is the path they've chosen to go about the expansion of their company. We can just disapprove and be as impatient as we want while they do that) .
I know we all want the episode to come out now, but Telltale's not the cunning, procrastinating assholes you make them out to be. They're good people that care about their fans but have just bitten off more than they can chew. They're just struggling to keep all four games under progress and updated.

True, and it was my understanding that they had to tweak Fallout 3 due to the mutated Brahman cows that could be killed. In TWDG S1, Ep2, … moreMaybelle the cow probably came to bad end although it wasn't shown so I wonder if there was a delay there.
(Come on Telltale, hurry up... I'm analyzing cow hypotheticals now)
Am I the only one that's still being patient here and not losing their sanity because we haven't had a trailer yet?
No? Alright then. Y'all are crazay!
I'm on the same boat as you :). Why are people complaining? They could play TWAU while they wait. It has so many epic moments in it. Snow is such a strong woman, and not afraid to fight for what's right...

Ok, ok... Lets put all bitching and moaning aside for a while. We are all irritated, stressed, nervous, thirsty devblood... But have anyone thought, just for a second at least, how does TellTale staff feels themselves, they would love to release episodes three weeks one after another, but its just not possible... Takes a long time to make a game, especially a masterpiece like this, and look at the money you're paying!!! Of course COD Ghosts kept up to release date, but they are scoring LOADS OF MILLIONS, they hire LOADS of staff, buy LOADS of equipment, and to make make Ghosts, they make few new maps, different perks, better graphics, but the game stays the same, i passed B OPS 2 single player campaing in 4HR!!! We are getting 7.5-8.5 Hrs of good innovative fun for under £20 here... And most definetly, TellTale could easily go COD on our asses, copy seson one, make few changes and release it way earlier, is that what you want? Oh shit kinda long, this post, il have a look if EP3 didnt come out when i wrote that...
Some of us aren't angry at Telltale. I'm not. I'm frustrated about classification. Without that Telltale could easly release episode 3 two or three weeks ago because it was already completed. The only thing that was on their way - classification. It took 2-3 weeks to receive that. It wasn't that long with previous episodes, I think.

I'm also not angry at Telltale, the things that take the longest are the classification process and the Playstation and Xbox certification process which is nothing to do with Telltale and they can't give us a release date until these things have been done. It was great to get some screenshots but some people are still whining that they didn't get a trailer yet. They should be grateful that Telltale gave us screenshots for TWD as they didn't give us any for episode 3 of TWAU.
