I dunno, but when i was saying the book was "gay", i was just referring to the fact that one of the protagonists is mostly acting like a girl, and how he almost did it with another guy, and how all the gays are practically made to be disgusted by girls, which is just... That they're stereotypically effeminate? That would be a valid criticism, however that does not make the book 'gay' it makes it stereotypically effeminate in it's portrayal of gay characters.
That it has lots of gay relationships in? Well, that sounds like it's the point of the book. Just as if a book was focused on interracial relationships. That wouldn't make it a 'black' book.
That it may have a sex scene which you have no idea is graphic or not? Well, that would make that part of the book 'gay', I'm sure, whatever that actually means, but would not make the bit you've actually read 'gay' so the question is still up in the air.

I know how that is, man. I used to be shy too and thought the same things. One day I just said fuck it, and started talking to people. Usually people would talk to me first and that's what I expected, but I realized that if I wanted to get to know that one girl that attracts me, then I would have to talk to them first. Hey man, you have to at least try or else you'll never know.
