I think if Telltale was more involved with the community and tried to sprinkle news here and there even if it's beta stuff if the episode is still early on or even an update like "voice work is done for the episode or voice work is done for so and so" or anything like that instead of dead silence then people wouldn't be lashing out as much as they have been. As far as things go they have every right to i'm sorry to see people reply to you like this i'm not really sure if this is your department but the PR people need to do their jobs better it's what they get paid to do.
You deserve the game, and I guarantee the team works as hard as it can to get it to you. We're in an awkward situation with online publishin… moreg because we're digital-first and release days are a constantly moving target, and we want to release it the very moment we're allowed to per-platform. A box game gets a lot of wiggle room to announce a date because there can be time between each platform being approved and the manufacturing date. And that's not even a guarantee either, boxed games miss their date all the time (Portal 2, Bioshock Infinite) and that's to be expected. So we've got two communication options: announce dates early and be almost guaranteed to miss them, or wait until things are concrete and the episode is nearly upon us. We've picked the latter. Who's to say if it's the best choice, but hopefully folks can understand that it's a tough situation.
This shouldn't keep you from doing a better PR work though. As I mentioned above, we are tired of all being left in the dark, and getting vague irrelevant Tweets every now and then. Even if you have a hard time getting concrete dates on a digital release, that shouldn't stop you from keeping the community informed, or at the very least don't antagonise them with "my lips are sealed" responses.

Or you could just give everyone what you believe to be an accurate estimation. Surely you guys have some sort of clue on how quickly you can get an episode out or not. It can still be a fluid thing and be subject to change. You guys could simply keep your customers posted/updated if there is a need to push the date back further. It would definitely be better than nothing at all.
Anyway, not trying to really tell you how to do your job or anything. Just throwing my opinion out there. Thanks for taking the time to come here and discuss this with us.

It might spread word of mouth about it because as of right now it doesn't seem like they really notice it or care. I doubt they will anyways but it's worth a try right?
lol I suggest you escape while you still can the Telltale community is cranky right now XD
I am too but hell I doubt yelling at you would change anything.
it really depends on how much fans/players cry over the end of season 2 and then telltale will have to come up with a plot of the new season and the dlc and then make new character and then get voice actors in,
you know like a normal episode..
then fans will cry more over how long, hurry up, wah wah wah

Try not sending me 3 replies if your going to sound like the your tough. And "cool story" really? Are you 10? If you're really willing to stop this argument than don't reply to me and NEVER comment kissing rockstar's ass on Telltale's site.
wowowo calm down please i have to end it if not it will become a battle and we both will end up being banned now let's put a sand over this conversation and move on with our lifes and wait for episode 3
HelloWorld123, sorry to say, but I'm not your uncle, although it sounds like him and I have something in common. Also, sounds like me and you have something in common too. I too have an uncle with that name, except my uncle spells it as Joe.
I'm so sorry about your ex. Uncle Jo, is that you? My uncle did the same thing when he found out his ex girlfriend was cheating on him... It wasn't pretty.
I really don't get what the point of it is it's not like downvoting takes away from your upvote total count. It's a waste of time honestly but I think people should honestly not even talk about it because then they know everytime you comment about it they are getting their thrill and it won't stop.
Hello there, I didn't mean to be a jerk. Twitter brevity kinda breeds curtness. I get a lot of questions about release dates and I just want… moreed to explain that I personally can never divulge release date information before the official Telltale Games twitter does. Hang tight guys, good stuff is coming up.

You don't have to worry about telling me to do my job because you didn't mention anything about editing videos :) I'm posting here because I wanted to, you know? To bring something other than the default reply we have. You guys let me know if that's appreciated or not.

It's kinda like being at your friend's house and their mom is yelling at them. So you just sit there looking around - "Huh, that's a nice picture....".

TTG: Through powerful magic her whereabouts concealed. Unfortunately, for you, these lips are sealed. #Soon.
TTG: It's my choice of phrasing, WalkingDeadFan1911. It's simply not the way this has to be. #VerySoon.
its not because I want more up votes.
