Walkers do not need air to breath, they would just sink to the bottom of the ocean and begin to walk. So we would have hoards of walkers that walk across the bottom of the ocean until they fill up with gasses and float to the top of the ocean, or will decay and die. At least that's what Max Brook's canon says. :P
  • I've always wondered this - so, somehow all humans contracted this walker virus, but how the hell would it reach a few isolated people living in the Arctic Circle who haven't had contact with the outside world in forever? If they died naturally, would they still come back?

With all the travelling humans do, such a disease would spread fast across the populated world. But what about people like that?
  • As a practical joke gone wrong, other countries decided to not give a shit about the U.S. and just went on with their happy lives!
  • all i know is that the Canadian zombies are too polite to eat people so we just go out to drink beers and hunt Canadian goose, Beavers, and Moose, but don't worry we make sure to apologize to them after.

But....but the ocean is deeper than the Everest !

  • France almost found a cure as someone said once, but then yeah...
  • I feel the western side of Europe would be screwed even if the disease wasn't over there. With all of the people going on boats some might have went there and spread it through sneezing/coughing/breathing or may have turned and bit someone.
  • Well, all I know, is Russia is survived unscathed. When walkers bite Russians, the walkers turn into Russians.
  • That's the point of trying to find a Television in the first episodes. You have no idea what's going on in the world.

I bet in romania the gypsis had stolen the zombies xD
  • I will like to see how big country fall down instead of U.S
  • Well, due to not having energy sources (I mean really, their blood doesn't flow, so how do they move muscles and think and stuff?) in the ocean, they'd likely decay, if not be outright crushed by the enormous pressure at those depths. Then the fishies'll get them.

As for the whole scenario, I think I read somewhere that the initial stages of the outbreak was extremely dangerous and killed people outright. After a while, though, whatever that was (a viral vector, perhaps) died out and the infection became airborne and harmless. Presumably, it would have carried itself to other continents by now, if it hadn't already been transferred due to people coming in from outside going back or people leaving the continent in the first stages. However, if the Wellington thing is true, maybe the infection has been killed at the poles. Who knows?

  • DLC ep idea!!!!!!!!!
  • In what world is Australia a safe place? If the poisonous creatures don't get ya the heat will, or the lack of drinkable water, or the non poisonous animals that just don't like you (did you know kangaroos like to drown people in bogs) the walkers will probably make it safer by eating all those nasty things. Try New Zealand, the worst you get there is pooped on by birds.
  • I'm a New Zealander and I agree

  • People die in the cities and suburbs and then they turn to walkers. Remember, you come back no matter how you die and we can assume that the virus is airborne.

  • I don't think you have ever been to Australia in your life the dangerous animals are all away from society except for kangaroos

  • I know over here in England the walkers would just eat crumpets. We'd have it easy...well, until we ran out of crumpets.
  • In Soviet Russia Russians bite Walkers.

  • Drop bears are not something we should make fun of and we must take them seriously. Drop bears are much more dangerous than a zombie apocalypse and any foreigner that would arrive to Australia without any knowledge of drop bears will be signing their death sentence. I lost several members of my family to those drop bears and i'm lucky i'm still alive.

Europe, Asia and the Americas are royally screwed. Australia probably too, so I'm done for lol. The country is essentially a giant island, and all of our cities are on the edge of the country due to the worse-than-Texas heat in the outback. There are a few who live out their, so they may be safe if the heat as any affect on the virus, most if not all of our cities and suburbs would be dead in the water. The major populations just couldn't survive out there. A few of the small islands and countries such as New Zealand or Bali would probably survive. Also, the Islamic world in the state it was in back in 2003 might be OK as well. Plenty of guns, but they ain't helping America.
  • Kirkman happened.

A lot of cities and suburbs in Australia get some cool weather for about half the year. Where I am, the start and end of the year are the hottest, so for most of the year there's mostly cool weather. And most of the dangerous animals are in the outback or zoos, sometimes in small towns as well. Also, the only dangerous stuff Kangaroos can do is kick you in the gut and tear your stomach open.

  • It would be great if the new walking dead spinoff show was based in a diffrent country and not based in america
America has been done to much and other countries have potential too
  • Guy gets bitten in the USA and flies to Asia, where he turns and bites another 2 or 3 persons, which in turn will also bite more people and spread the infection over the whole continent and Europe. Not to forget the airbone infection which also infects every single person on earth thanks to globalisation.
  • My best friend is from NZ and once when I went to visit her, we were going for a barefoot run in the bush and I accidentally punted a weta that was the size of my hand. I got bug guts all over my foot and was so freaked out, I wore rain boots for the rest of my visit. I'd rather deal with 100 zombies than one of those things again.

Also every time they mention Wellington I think they mean Wellington, NZ.

Sweden would be fucked cause we have almost no weapons in houses. Maybe an axe. The only one that have guns are the police.
  • We'll have a right ruddy ol' good time! I'm up for all of that my old bean! Fresh scones and tea! Nothing better my fellow!
