So... We can pretty much say goodbye to hubs?
After the two first episodes, we all thought that episode 3 will have a hub and it din't happen, we din't even get a chance to explore more of Carver's camp or talk with the 400 Days characters who came with Tavia to see their point of view and such but no, it din't happen.
Considering that there are two episodes left to play, I think we can sadly kiss our chances of getting a hub in this season goodbye.

I really wish there were some way to make it clear to whoever made such a decision how wrongheaded it was. Certainly I doubt anything at all we say here could change it, even if the entire forum were united in asking for a change.

Goodbye, hubs. Oh, this was a funeral...
- The ability to talk to people through dialogue trees. To come back and talk to them later, if you want, and follow up on conversation threads you didn't pursue earlier. Or not talk to them at all, if you aren't interested in that character. If you talk to someone in a Season 2, there are two possibilities: either its a plotline conversation which will usher you on to the next area or they give you a single sentence and then have nothing else to say.
- A clearly defined exit. In the most recent TWAU episode, I was actually really paranoid about what I clicked on Crane's desk because I knew the second I clicked the 'important' thing I would never get a chance to click anything else there. Likewise, in TWD, you can talk to the plot-relevant person or look at the plot-relevant thing and the hub is over.
Back in Season 1, when the St. John Brothers said, 'just say the word and we'll go scout out that bandit camp' or 'are you ready to go check out that fence now?', those were pretty obvious flags: do what you're going to do around here and then choose to pursue these things, 'cause once you select that dialogue you're leaving this area.
I might also include a bit of freedom of movement, but frankly most Season 1 hubs were also lacking in that area.
I've become so paranoid about trying to figure out which the the "Move the plot forward" item, just because they seem to have completely abandoned the option to back-out and finish off exploring the area.
Don't get me wrong I loved the episode it was awesome!
But all I felt like I was doing was the occasional click now and then.
