  • He scream scared me and I felt bad for doing it. There was no other choice I was scared and shocked she got bit. I wanted to save her. Now she'll think Clem is a bit too hostile to be around and leave Kenny for his actions. Bonnie will become Clem's new mommy and run into Leland who will help too..
  • Fun Fact: It was actually a reused track of Beatrice (The girl who gets devoured in the beginning of S1 E3)

I cut it off. That scream...I feel fucking awful right now. Jesus Christ.

  • I choped it.Fuck me,that scream gave me nightmares
  • Oh, I thought he had simply passed out from the pain of losing his arm. My mistake.

Nope. You don't pass out when you're amputated. Lee is already 'sick' since the virus is in his bloodstream.

I didn't even hesitate to cut it off. I knew as soon as I saw the walker chomping her hand that I'd need to do something to stop the infection spreading.

I just wasn't prepared on what was to follow. The look of shock and pain in her eyes as she just lets out that scream. Goddammit.

It had to be done though. Lord knows I would have regretted it if I hadn't. She definitely won't turn now, but it all depends on whether she bleeds out or not.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her until Episode 4 comes out. Kenny doesn't need another woman in his life gone forever.
  • i decided to kill the walker, think about it. In season one Lee was bit and if you chose to cut his arm off he still turned. Reggie was lucky enough to survive after cutting it as soon as he got bit. Both situations are completely different so telltale will draw it out in episode 4 on her survival. Even though if you chose to cut off her hand to save her, odds are in the long run she will still die because the time she was bit to when clem realized she was bit was too late to make a difference.
  • I didn't the first time but then I realized that Reggie mentioned they cut his arm off when he got bit and he ended up fine so I chopped it off the second time I played it. Hope it works.
  • Do you guys think she will survive? I mean, I chopped her hand off, but she was bleeding too much. We didn't have bandages or something like that and the fact I didn't see her in the trailer for episode four make me think she's already dead. I mean, how can you survive in that situation?

I hope I saved her life chopping her hand off, but... I don't know... Maybe I made her death more painful :/
  • I think there are several issues (as people have mentioned).

    1. You don't cut off her hand; you can cut it off later if you have a chance, but chances of people a zombie dramatically increases.
    2. You cut off the hand now:
    a. Because your axe is covered in ZOMBIE muck... which may mean it makes no difference except she has last her arm AND changing nothing if she will become a zombie or not.
    b. Provided she doesn't get a zombie infection, she might just get regular infection anyway.
    c. No Tourniquet or something else to stop the bleeding.
    d. She screamed, attracting every nearby walker.
e, She's missing a hand, which is extremly inconvenient giving the situation they are in (zombie herd!)

So, Option #1, you know what's going to happen; she'll gets bitten, and you need to cut her hand off when you reach safety, or she dies; even then, the likelihood of a zombie infection is high.

Option #2, you cut her arm off with a zombie-bloody axe, which she may or not get an infection, which may or may not be a zombie infection. She's one-armed, screaming, in a middle of zombie herd.

Either way, you are in deep doodoo. However, given the chance, I would risk Option #2 anyway. She's likely to die either way, but at least she has a fighting chance in Option #2... provided she manages to get out of the zombie herd alive.
  • What if you didn't "amputate" Lee's arm at the start of Episode 5 of Season One, then it would be Lee all over again

To those who didn't cut her arm, this would be Duck all over again.

  • I cut it off because I want her to have a chance of surviving... for Kenny.
But I don't know if it will work... in all honesty... I'm not even sure if Reggie was telling the truth about why his arm was no longer there. I think Carver probably did it to him because he helped the group escape before.
  • Well, when lees arm gets cut off they just chucked some bandages on it and all was fine

The problem is that the group's medic is gone now and losing all that blood and her screaming/crying with a group of walkers all around her.

  • I cut if off. Seeing as I was able to do it straight away, I'm liking her odds of survival a heck of a lot more than Lee. On a side note, am I the only one who absolutely pissed themselves laughing after Sarita screamed and the Bosco's Inconvenience Store theme plays in the background? :p

You guys are so god damn the walking dead illiterate. There is no Zombie Virus in the walking dead, everyone is infected, all getting bitten does is send billions of toxins into your body the same way a komodo dragon bite does, look it up.

Remember this so people don't have to correct you, and i'm not trying to be mean.
  • I cut her arm off too. The first second I saw that walker biting her hand I knew it: Fuck the walker - cut Saritas arm off! But when then I realized what I did. She looked at Clem like: "Why, why the fuck are you doing this?!" Who knows if she can survive without a doctor to make a call.
  • But the best part was Troy's death

I cut it off. That scream...I feel fucking awful right now. Jesus Christ.

  • I don't know....i didn't hesitate, i went for the chop...
I don't feel like a hero anymore from that scream :< Scarred for life now from Sarita's scream

I got sad when Carlos was shot, then all of a sudden, Sarita. I chopped her arm off. I don't want to lose anymore survivors in this and chopping her arm off sooner than later gives her a better shot at survival. That scream though, gave me a nightmare last night when I slept. Crazy Creepy.
  • Reggie says Mike chopped his arm off "like he had done it before".. I wouldn't assume she's screwed just because Carlos can't help.
Though I can't see how they're gonna stop her losing too much blood without cauterizing it.

Of course information like that doesn't cross your mind as you make the decision.
  • I cut it off... but that scream.. damn

    Here we go. I didn't cut Sarita's arm. (Let the downvotes begin.) Reasons;

    * We killed a lot of walkers with that hatchet. Even if assume she made it out, she's gonna get infected anyway. Because of that hatchet with walkers blood.

    * There are no Carlos with us. (R.I.P. Shed Master) I don't know how are we gonna stop the bleeding?

    * Situation was REALLY fucked up in that moment. There were a lot of walkers. They can smell blood too. Also there were armed guys ahead of us.

So yeah. I'm really regret my decision and I love Sarita's character but I think it was the best way for me. We have different opinions about this. And I respect that. But I don't think Kenny will still be my ''Mustache Guardian'' after that.
  • If Lee is alone and amputates the arm himself, he stays conscious long enough to hobble over to the bandages and patch up the stump of his arm.
  • I don't think Sarita will survive beacuse the hatchet had walker blood on it, and when walker blood come in contact to yours, it's the same as getting bitten, but if you don't maybe you can cut her arm off with some other clean tool (hopefully for who cut the arm i'll be wrong), but if she survives it would be cool, she could be the first character whose fate is determined in the previous episode.
  • Im pretty you are correct with Lee, but with Sarita I think she was just in shock from it happening so quickly.

Oh, I thought he had simply passed out from the pain of losing his arm. My mistake.

  • Chopping the arm off seemed like the best option, it would need to be done sooner or later anyway.
  • Don't worry guys, Sarita is gonna be just fine...it was a dog bite obviously!
  • The biggest mistake is to chop off her arm because the weapon of clementine is covered in walkers' blood.Anti climatic and when I thought I was doing the right decision but it was the wrong decision.

This what happens if you act spontaneously.
  • Dude...
When I hacked her arm off, then a brief pause of silence, and that sudden "AHHHHH!!!"
I looked back at her from my laptop screen and was like, "AHHHH!!!" too. o_O
  • I'll miss Carlos. :(

Don't worry guys, Sarita is gonna be just fine...it was a dog bite obviously!

  • I realized that right away, haha.

Fun Fact: It was actually a reused track of Beatrice (The girl who gets devoured in the beginning of S1 E3)

  • Ben's teacher in S1 Ep2

Nope. You don't pass out when you're amputated. Lee is already 'sick' since the virus is in his bloodstream.

  • Aaaaaand Chop chop chop chop chop chop chop Sarita's gonna die, I have to save her cuz I can't stand seeing Kenny cry!
  • I fully expect her to die in the first few seconds honestly.

I believe she'll most definitely die at some point in Ep. 4.

I did. It was the best option, and was her only chance of survival. Why would you feel bad? She may be in pain, but at least she's not dead/a walker(hopefully).

I'm glad most people chopped it off. It just shows that most people aren't pussies.
  • edited May 2014
Yeah except if you didn't chop off her arm at that moment, by the time you got away from the zombies, and could "properly" amputate it. It probably would have already been too late.

Don't act so sure of yourself Sarita could survive the next episode if decided to chop that shit.

Lee was a tank, oh my god. It was like he was driven to survive to save Clementine. But, seriously.
It's called Risk because we won't know how this will play out.
Maybe we will be able to get out of the horde in time to bandage her up before she bleeds to death.
Maybe her screams will cause walkers to swarm her before we can get her out.
    It's a huge gamble.
I hope for the best but her chances are low.

  • Reggie lived and Sarita's must have been quicker,so i hope she'll see another day,she is one of my favourite characters. The screaming could alert the walkers for free meal,i hope she survives.
  • Like a Pete type situation? I could see that...

  • I chopped it so maybe I ensured her survival but I'm sure that the hatchet was infected and could result in her death,.But how long do you have before the infection reaches the brains?Maybe didn't chop was the right decision .If we kill the walker Kenny could do something.Remember it's not only Clementine.

  • I also chopped her arm of. I mean, it was her only chance of survival, it was now or never and I had to act quickly. But after I heard her scream and saw the way she looked at me... She looked at me like I was a monster and that was the moment I realized that I never asked her if she wanted to get her arm amputated, she never gave me her consent and THAT'S what's killing me, I feel really bad. :/ On the other hand, I still think that it was the best idea at the moment. At least I tried to help her... D:
