  • Sarita said he was super depressed when she found him.
I'm pretty sure he thought everyone was dead, back in Savannah. It's a different situation.

If it was Kenny that was left behind instead of Luke, you don't think he would follow them as well?

Kenny is not the type to let the folk he cares about die. Especially not Clem, now.

Thats the thing though... Luke actually trailed us down to save us. As for Kenny, after Savanna he didn't bother to track Christa, Omid and Clem. He held up in some store and chased after some tail when he got Sarita.

  • Luke's plan failed so epicly. Like, damn son.

I wonder what TTG's gonna do to redeem him.
And then AFTER Kenny took the beating that happened because LUKE's plan failed, he started talking about leaving Kenny behind when they were planning out the escape.

    Uh, hell no, Luke.

  • Kenny, he was defending Clem all the way.

Luke, however did a huge mistake on his part of the episode, which costs Kenny's eye. I'm still giving him a chance till the end of the season.
  • Of course we can trust him more! Kenny was my loyal Bro in Season1 and he will be my loyal " Bro " and caretaker in season2 aswell!

Why should we choose something like this? Seriously, ive noticed since episode 2 that there has been a "war" over wich one Clem will show more preference.

Every character has their qualities and flaws and both care for Clem. Just deal with it.
  • Definitely Luke. I know iIl get tons of down votes especially after Kenny's heroics in Epi 3 but lets be rational: Kenny is way too emotional and head strong. He would have easily died in the beginning if the truck didn't knock him out. He is very bold and although that has helped him so far, it honestly can not work eveytime. Luke is younger, level headed, and cares for Clementine. Ill agree that Kenny loves Clem and they have a great connection but Luke is a much safer bet.

Kenny 100%. I was skeptical of Luke being of any help (mostly because he was so lethargic, he looked like he was about to pass out) and in the end he really was of no help at all. It's great that he came back, I honestly thought he abandoned the group at first, but that doesn't change the fact that Luke was pretty useless this episode, hell, he wanted to leave Kenny behind and it seemed like he wanted to spare Carver! wtf! I also thought it was strange that Luke all of a sudden had no trust in Clem's capabilities when she climbs to the roof for a second time, he sure had no problem having her do the hard work in episode 2. Kenny is really stepping up as Clem's new guardian, Kenny took the blame for the walkie talkie, and he trusts in Clem to make difficult decisions, but at the same time is protective of her. (There were some moments where Kenny really reminded me of Lee) Kenny is Clementine's Protector now, case closed!

Yeah i know but why always between these two persons? Its kinda frustating, thats all.

There are so many amazing characters in the game that are willing to sacrifice for others and are almost never get mentioned for it. For example, Nick was willing to sacrifice himself for Clem in episode 2 and people almost never remember that.

  • "luke may turn his back on us"

Just like how he didn't go through hell and back to get to Carver's camp and rescue us when he could have just walked away?

and luke may turn his back on us but kenny will never break our trust

  • Maybe it's the dialogue trees I've chosen but that's not even a second thought, Kenny of course. These people kidnapped Clementine and locked her in a shed to let her die of impending fever or infection then when she cleaned everything up in time they forced her to run away from Carver with them, when it would have probably just been better had she went off on her own. In my cut scenes and dialogue with Luke she never warmed up to him, he was the root of all her problems.

These people have been holding her back from day 1. Kenny is the only person she is remotely loyal to and that dates back to Season 1. When he dies, and he probably will, she should go off on her own and be a hermit until these bag of bones start rotting and thinning out in the July heat every year.
  • Actually Luke was suggesting that they have a chance to recover while everyone disagreed and wanted to go tonight. When Luke explained that if we go tonight then we'll have to leave folks, everyone got pissed at him. To be fair, if it wasn't for Luke's plan failing the way it did and Kenny getting beat up, Bonnie wouldn't have helped them escape. Kenny's plan was to draw the herd to the camp and... that's it. "We improvise". Without Bonnie they wouldn't have anyone to spring them out and a lot more people would've died.

  • Really?

    Not again..

How much this "Kenny vs Luke", "Kenny or Luke" threads? We need all of this? It's gonna make fights on the forum. I don't like it. Almost all people can accept the other people option, so we're so fucked up in every time.
  • Luke trust Clem.

He didn't wanna Clem do always the work.

"Wait a second! She is the plan?"

Luke didn't underestimated Clem. I think Luke's big role come out in episode 4.

  • Kenny. I genuinely like Luke, he's a good guy, but I don't necessarily agree with him on everything. He also seems shifty regrading his decisions like trying to back out of escaping from Carver at the last minute. Yes, members were weak, but Carver was going to increase guards and security after finding Luke, they got lucky that carver was sidetracked. And,although, I trust Luke, I don't trust him to make the hard decisions. For example, when he had Carver at gun point he wouldn't shoot. Kenny had to do it. Maybe some one would have rather tied him up,but it seemed pretty obvious to me that Carver was crazy, and didn't feel much regret for his actions. Once he was freed he would have just gone back after the group. Shooting was the only way to ensure the safety of the group indefinitely. Luke couldn't make that decision, Kenny could. Lastly, he's not very dependable. He managed to get caught nearly destroying the whole plan. Also, it seems as described from Nick in the previous episode that Luke's previous ideas didn't exactly work out either. Luke's a great guy with a great moral compass, and that's whats going to kill him if anything. To survive in the walking dead you have to make choices better for survival not necessarily is it right or wrong. Unfortunately, Kenny is capable of completing unholy acts in order to survive as seen in the meat locker in season 1. But not completely incapable of feeling the regret of those actions. Feel free to oppose my ideas, Luke's a great guy, and I hope I don't have to pick between Kenny and Luke; I would very much enjoy to see the both of them survive until the end. But if I have to, Kenny.
  • I have to admit. I would have saved Luke before.

But after S2 E3. KENNY ALL THE WAY!

I wasn't a big fan of Kenny in S1 or S2E2 (though I was happy he was alive), but I've definitely come around with him a lot since this episode, and my Clem agrees with him a lot more than my Lee did. But, I still really like Luke and feel he hasn't yet been given the fleshing out and time in the spotlight to make this a fair fight (in terms of who to pick). I'm holding out hope that they do more with Luke in E4 especially, so it's more of a contest.

At this moment, I still don't know who I'd go with, it was Luke before this episode, now I'm a little more indecisive (but still leaning toward Luke I suppose), but we'll see what the rest of the season holds.
  • Kenny, without a doubt.

I have nothing against Sarah - but the girl is more of a liability and is absolutely incapable of taking care of herself. I'd rather have someone who's got my back in a battle; not someone who increases my chances of getting killed in said battle.

Heres another one: If you were forced to choose between Sarah and Kenny, who would you choose?

    Couple of things...

    1) Who's to say he never tried to track them down? The last time Kenny saw Omid and Christa was either on the rooftops (if Ben was traveling with them) or from within a building (after rescuing Christa). Outside of the Marsh House, Crawford and the house they had been holed up in, (all of which were swarming with walkers) he'd have no idea where to start looking for them after that; and Georgia is a big state.

Given his personality, Kenny probably searched high and low for them; and eventually came to the conclusion that they had perished.

    2) While freeing himself of his binds, Kenny mentioned being a prisoner. So, at some point, he had been captured and escaped.

So,he didn't just hole himself up in a store and gave up until Sarita arrived.

  • Kenny, without a doubt in my mind. You know a man who is willing to make the hard decisions no one else wants to make (i.e. - killing Larry instead of risking his coming back as a walker) and puts his own life at risk on numerous occasions to save someone else (helping Ben/Christa, taking a severe beating for Clementine) you know that's a man you can count on.
  • I honestly dont know.
  • About luke suggesting leaving people behind he was more saying if it came down to that as everyone was insisting they leave then and there heck luke even stated that maybe they should wait and rest up
