is that like the only words you know how to spell or something?!?

  • I dont think thats a big enough jump. 13 year old Clem wouldnt be that much different.

You like Clementine the way she is? Well sadly so did people of the Season One version of her. They don't want her to grow up. Pretty much like overly attached parents in a sense.

    I want Clem to grow older and more independent. And heck I'd like her to become more like Molly (though not as a much as a loner or overly badass). And no matter what happens in her life things are going to emotionally harden her even more. Picking whether she goes down the route lies in the hands of Telltale. And Clementine is going to see more horrible things, like a wise man once said;

"You're going to see bad stuff, but it's going to be ok" ~ Lee Everett

Things like that will always change people, she's noticeably more mature and less naive than she used to be. I only see her character becoming more and more sophisticated and paranoid not to trust people.

You seem to like dicks a lot. Is there something you want to tell us, billwilliams?

  • Episode 5 main picture show us that this episode could take place somewhere very close to the winter. Even during a winter so I'm thinking that there will be time skiping between episode 4 and 5. I'm telling you this because if Telltale will ever make season 3 then I would be glad to see it starting during early or late spring so... time skiping around... few months at least :) But we'll see if of course Telltale ever decide to create season 3.

I doubt there will be timeskipping between those episodes. It was already snowing up near the lodge. Its already winter. Remember that Christa said it would snow soon. That episode probably isn't too far off from the current game timeline.

My theory based on the preview photo:
In the photo, we clearly see the same exact highway Lee and the Cop crashed in. That is the same city. Somehow, Clem and the others head back toward Atlanta and Macon. Why? No idea, but that is the same exact area that Lee and the Cop crashed, nearby where Lee found Clementine.

No, not exactly. My cousin, who is twenty four, is still really young, quiet and polite and she hasn't even drank alcohol yet. So, age does not always deteriorate innocence. Maturing and loosing innocence are two different things.
    Pride posted: »

Of course she'll lose that innocence, it's called growing up. This is not Peter Pan's tale. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who's glad to see Clem is maturing.

  • Yeah, seems like he's telling others to do what he secretly loves most.

  • Maybe you're right but we'll see. I think that there will be time skipping because in episode 5 there is a lot of snow but like I said - we'll see. About highway you're talking about. I saw preview picture a few moments ago just to check it and it doesn't look the same to me. Maybe simliar but it's not the same. Town in the background? I don't think it's Atlanta. I don't know what city it is... maybe Wellington?

    Hate the time-skips.
  • I don't think anyone will let him do it that way around, to be honest. Who wants their dick sucked by a troll?

You're on fire, aren't you? Judging by how many times you replied with that quote, I can tell you really want to try it yourself. Don't give up, keep trying! Since you'll never experience it the other way around:).

  • A nine year time skip would be exactly perfect if we are to play as Clem in Season three. But unfortunately, that would put us too far ahead of the comic, so it won't happen. Continuing to play as a child would get old, though.
  • k I will thank you very much!!! :)

  • I'm sure we'll get Season 3 but I don't want another timeskip.

    Just Leave us alone.

  • If Clem is still the protagonist of season 3/there is a season 3, there HAS to be a timeskip. And maybe one longer than 2 years, too.

There's a lot of forced scenes in Season 3 with contrived reasons for why the 11 year old is the one who has to do things. She needs to be older, at least mid-late teens, so that this problem is eliminated in the future. It would be nice to not have the "I'm a kid" excuse anymore, either.
  • A lot of people are gonna disagree with me but I think a two year time skip would be fine, Clem is still young and it'll probably be another year until Telltale releases season 3. I think playing as 13-14 year old Clem would be really fun to play.
  • edited May 2014
Timeskip or no, I firmly believe we WONT play as Clem next season. It just doesn't seem like Telltale would do that. I think Telltale will make it a tradition to cycle new protagonists per season/DLC.

    S1: Lee
400 Days: Tavia, Bonny, Wyatt, Shel, Russell, Vince.
    S2: Clem
    S2 DLC?: More new characters?
S3: Former Season 2 character as Protagonist?

When Lee died, the question 'What possible character could take Lee's place in Season 2 without the fans rejecting him/her?' had only one obvious answer: Clementine. Anyone else, and above all a new and unknown character, would have probably resulted in fans rejecting said character for not being Lee.

Ask the same question but swap Clementine for Lee and Season 2 for Season 3 and I think there is no good replacement to fit Clem's shoes. With Lee dead, Clementine has pretty much become the face of Telltale's TWD series. If she dies or is otherwise removed from the series, it will be a sign that the end has come for the Walking Dead Telltale franchise as a whole.

As to whether they'll do a timeskip, I don't know. But if they have a Season 3 (and the cash cow nature of the franchise makes it pretty damn likely), I would be utterly shocked if Clementine isn't still the protagonist.

I would be quite interested to see Clem grow up over the course of this series, developing from a child into a teenager. Sort of a grand-scale coming of age story as the young girl we first met in a treehouse becomes a young woman who has come to peace with the suffering she's endured and found some solace in this new world. I know not everyone agrees, but I think something quite cool could be done with such a far-reaching storyline, if the writers know their stuff.

Just so long as they know when to stop. I'd hate to think of reaching Season 10 and playing 60+ year old Clem scavenging for adult diapers.
  • There doesn't have to be. Most of those reasons are because Clementine is the player character. The same occurs with season one with Lee where he is required to carry out almost every action. Take episode four for example when at Crawford the group is split up doing their assigned tasks but nothing occurs until Lee interacts with each group.
