Good Storyline(s) for Luke?
Hey Guys, I just think that his storyline was done rather badly this episode. I still think about what exactly I would love to see from him. You can write your ideas and storylines here, of course.
Not sure, maybe he could find and protect Christa (without knowing who she is) and then bring her to the group. Reuniting Clem and Christa. Hmm.
Anyone any ideas? I am rather idealess right now.

Now, going forward, I want more Luke backstory. As much as I love him, his death (lets face it, it's the walking dead) won't shock me unless we know more about him.
I just really hope he's not sidelined again in episode four.
I already know i'm getting a lot of thumbsdown for writing this but one thing is storyline, another thing is wishing for your favorite character to appear all the time.
Honestly though, if Nick survives Episode 2, perhaps Luke in Episode 5 will get bit trying to save his friend Nick, but, Nick dies anyways. Now, the "Hero in vain" Luke is bit and will die.
(1st time )Luke kills walker and saving Clem in the wood's in episode 1
(2nd time) luke Kill walker before going on the bridge in episode 2
Luke killed no living person or undead in episode 3
Luke need's more fight scenes
So no, I would not like for him to appear all the time. I would like for him to have scenes that are important! That is the small, but fine difference.
He doesn't need fight scenes. This is part of his "Soft" personality they had going for him. This is also shown when Clementine tells him he killed that dog and Luke scolds her for it.
Luke is simply a soft, passive, farmboy who is trying to keep his friends alive. This is like how Nick is a friendly, but cocky, with a temper, farmboy who also wants to keep his friends alive.
I actually have those feelings towards Nick, how he almost never participated in the group's conversations and when he did was just to say he agreed with Luke.
I agree with you that Nick got sooo much wasted potential as well. (Maybe even more than Luke) The problem with him is that he is dead in some games, which is why they can't give him important storylines anymore. That is probably why Luke is 'overshadowing' him.
I do not think that he would get such a stupid 'off-screen' dead, that would really show me just how bad the writing got. I think he is ok and that his death is going to be heroic. I hope.
With Ben i actually think they made a good job, he had some nice interactions after that option of letting him die, he didn't seem like an "outside" character. Maybe they can do the same with Nick.
I always resort to bringing up how Nick is the only S2 person who had been explored this way, and that's why his character is the most developed, yet he's the first determinant character among the whole Cabin Crew? Was his character developed just so that he could die early on? If so, then where's Alvin's backstory? We heard Pete before he got bitten. Where's Sarita's backstory other than "she found Kenny?" We know more about Jane from her subtle behaviors alone, and she's only present in the last half of Ep. 3!
They really need to add more Nick though, you are right. It's like he is dead no matter what you do at this rate of communication. They really need to add a great quiet talking scene for those of us who enjoy his character before he bites the dust.
I really hope if he dies, he ends up in the same situation as Pete. Clem would be all like: "I promised Pete I'd take care of you." Hopefully by this point Nick comes to terms with his depression and can die with some sense of satisfaction. But this is the walking dead, so he'll probably die like most people: alone, weak, cold, and scared, Or suddenly, and without warning.
I think for Nick to go full arc though he has to go out like 'uncle' Pete does if you save him in episode 1.
But for plot points on what I'd want to see with him, hm...where he doesn't die? An anti death shield maybe? XD
Being serious, Luke's in a bad condition right now because he hasn't eaten or slept in days, so I'd dare Telltale to take that a step further, like maybe Luke gets shot or wounded somehow and they gotta help him, and without Carlos around that would be a serious problem. But it would mean for the most part, Luke would be restricted in what he can do, at least in a 'fight off walkers' sense, time that with Rebecca on the verge of having a baby and walkers showing up, and that would be really, really bad news.
But yeah back story, pretty please? It doesn't have to be deep, just a widdle something.
Why can't we spend that time hearing Nick tell some dumb story about Luke when they were kids?
Maybe Luke could get badly injured and needs stitches so he chickens out and gets Clem to do it, and while she's doing it, as someone said above, she asks him about his past to distract him from the pain!
If this underdevelopment means he lives longer, then I'm cool with it.
