Him along with most of the cabin crew, nice people but useless
Thank god kenny came back.
Do people love luke for his nice smile and floppy hair or something?

You can have your opinion, even though you brought up no points whatsoever...
Kenny, however, just sucks. He's bringing down season 2. His return was bullshit from the get go, he hasn't developed or changed at all, he's gotten stupider since season 1 (yeah, bring the herd and then... um... just deal with it. Great plan, you dumbshit), and his story was done and finished in the previous season. I wouldn't even mind if he wasn't being made so central to the story, AGAIN, but that's what they seem to be doing. He's no longer an interesting character. That part of him died back in episode 5 of season 1.
As for risking himself for Clem, he risked himself to save Duck before and got a bullet for it. He risked himself to save Christa/Ben and almost died for it. If it's someone in the group or someone he cares about, he'll try to help them. No difference.
So again, nothing has changed. Actually, scratch that. He's gotten dumber and more irrational. Okay, sure, maybe he has changed, but not for the better and not in such a way that makes him interesting to me.
His appearance is also not an issue. I'm talking about substantial character changes.
To be fair, it's not Kenny's fault entirely, episode 3 had a lot of problems, not the least of which being very little character interaction and deaths that felt very rushed or done without regard for making us care.
If Nick dies in Ep2, Luke doesn't care one bit about it... Not even single line about that.
Thats lazy!
For crying out loud, man, they had Kenny LOSE AN EYE in this episode just to appease haters like you. If anything, he's suffered more than any other character in this series simply because he's remained alive. Cut him just a little slack.
But sriously, he is a cool character in my opinion.
It's pretty weird that he always runs away tho, but I think he is just living thru his 'duck times'.
Like Kenny said; "every damn place we went, he'd just run".
Indeed, losing his eye *might* be a step towards a change in him, which is why I'm hoping he becomes interesting to me again in episode 4, but the actual act of taking one for the team isn't anything new. It's not like he knew he was going to lose an eye, necessarily, he just gave himself up and suffered horribly for it. Not that he doesn't deserve praise for that, to be fair. Kenny may annoy me, but he definitely has good qualities and a lot of drive; my problem simply comes from the fact that he's being pushed to the foreground again when I see little justification for his return in the first place. Any other character could have done the same thing and gotten closer to Clementine to give them some much needed development that Kenny already had. That's what it boils down to. Again, maybe TellTale will add something new to his character finally come episode 4, and hopefully it doesn't just come back to him feeling sorry for himself after losing Sarita.
The rest is just useless, I agree
Oh, really? They catered to haters by making him lose an eye? So they're *that* affected by criticism that they have to "appease" us and it wasn't just part of the story they were telling? Way to make TellTale sound stupid, guy. Luckily, that's not the reality, especially since we're clearly supposed to marvel at how badass he is when he gets up from losing an eye, and *he* ends up being the one to kill Carver despite having no business doing so (in terms of his place as a character in this season, not as a character in the narrative itself).
I've never laughed at Kenny's pain or mocked him when he gets hurt. He does annoy me in a lot of ways, but before, I was able to see what an interesting character he was and especially how much drive he has. Now, however, it's the fact that on top of everything he does that annoys me, TellTale clearly love the guy (which is fine in itself) and making him the center of their development again, and in such contrived ways on top of that. Carver beat him... why? Yes, to give Kenny a lameass reason to be the one to take him out, but why in terms of his character? Because he's "insane". *sigh* Okay, fine, I can actually roll with that.
But to have Kenny be the reason that Carver (their "big villain of the season", though I'm used to lying from the show writers) finally died having just met the guy a little while ago, having no history with him, and just for it to be a shocking moment that mainly benefits Kenny in terms of character? Man, fuck that. It's hard to look at that as anything else than TellTale just making him so "edgy" and badass and a guy that just can't be kept down while literally every other character needs more development than Kenny.
You might think thats a good thing, but he is never there for them! Its like "Oh im cool oh wait im not there but i come back for 10 minutes and im gone again and I am gone again" Who needs a heart when all you do is go missing? Kenny AT LEAST can stay with a heart, sheesh.
Besides all your comments about saying Kenny is the same, hah lol. He has changed so much, like how he is more aggressive, he now loves someone (SPOILER she dies no matter what, either turns into zombie or Telltale kills her, Telltale CLASSIC)and they die, how he cares for Clem, believes she is strong, unlike before.
It also seems like Kenny's major depression is leaving when he thinks about Duck or Katjaa, considering in Episode 2 vs 3 how he reacted when thinking about Duck (My fav character btw), and in episode 4 sneak peak how he is then. He has gotten more aggressive, considering he did not HAVE to kill Carver and he certainly had to kill Larry.
This is a bit off topic, but I want hem to find their old RV with Lilly in it, dead or alive (or her randomly if you didn't let her stay), that would be the best thing for me. I feel like, if bringing back another character from season 1, it isn't going to be Christa, and considering Telltale is Telltale Molly is probably going to be found dead or alive so we can find out her backstory (Like seriously, I'm happy about Kenny returning, but bring back a character that has an important backstory they left out, like Molly and that picture or Lilly and that RV/being kicked out. Those 2 guys from the farm are most likely dead (Considering most people killed them, like me).
On the topic of the season 1 characters coming back again, in an interview- actually I'll copy paste it. - In a interview with Gavin Hammon, the voice of Kenny, it was revealed that a scene was planned in which Lilly would appear in "No Time Left" with the RV again after her original departure, but it was never made.
Lilly survived, more likely than Molly, and she was disregarded. With that in mind, I believe she has a big chance of being revealed, just saying.
His mental state has degraded but he actually cares about things other than his family now. I mean, yes, his family is dead but S1 Kenny made decisions based upon how it would impact his family only. It was family first and to hell with everything else.
To see him be selfless as he was in this episode is a massive shift in his behaviour.
The Carver thing was an entirely different situation than Larry. Larry was going to turn, there was no bringing him back. In the comic (which this is based on) they NEVER resuscitated anyone. Once they're dead, they destroy the brain immediately. It was only on the show that they resuscitated a person.
Kenny was a broken man by the end of S1 who had lost everything. The fact that he's still going is a development in and of itself. He literally lost everything he was living for but he found new reasons to continue on.
