  • It was tough, I hated Carver for a lot of reasons, but I also realised the horror of what it means to take pride in brutally murdering him, Clementine is familiar with witnessing horrible deaths, but never before was it unnecessary, both me the player and Clementine the child both don't need more brutality, we've got enough of it.
  • I watched it happily he hitted kenny so hard i almost cried when he was lieing there i thought kenny was dead so i was fucking mad at carver and i love crowbars i got 1 myself and i saw some video before so it wasnt really a shock.

He deserved it. Kenny did the right thing, at least we got 1 killing machine and zombie less.
  • I watched....
As horrible as it was, but I believe it will make clementine stronger.
  • I left, cause i would not give that man his plesure to let me watch.
  • I left.
It was obvious that he wanted Clem to watch, I wouldn't let him have that victory
Plus I want Clem to keep some humanity, I went back on a different save file to see it and i could see the part where she went cold.
  • Watched it. Didn't even hesitate. I've convinced myself Clem needs to see, and be taught. Carver was right about one thing: sometimes one must be eliminated to protect the many. I have no doubt if he'd been left alive, he would have come after them. A man like that does not quit.
  • I stayed. I didn't enjoy it, and I don't know if it was the right decision but I know that man deserved every single hit.
  • I watched, because in a way I felt it was a rite of passage from Carver to Clem, because despite his homicidal insanity, Carver did have some damn good leadership and survival skills which Clem would do well to learn from. In a way, it's taking on his mantle, just as he compared the two of them in his office. When you can out-survive someone hell-bent on survival at any cost, without sacrificing your humanity, that means something.

Clem is the de facto leader of the group now despite appearances (as proven by the escape plan meeting), with Kenny, Jane and Luke as advisers / experts / mentors.
  • I left. After Carver said that Clem is like him i didn't want to give him that satisfaction. Also... Lee wouldn't want it either...
  • I watched just because me as a player wanted to see his death scene. Not sure if it was a good thing for Clem to see but... oh well.
  • You make a good point there!

I watched. And I DONT regret it.

I have my reasons. and Welcome_to_Woodbury knows why.
  • Thanks ;) i just felt that she can't stay, no matter how bad Carver was...

You make a good point there!

  • I had Clem watch because I feel it was important for her to see it. She know's what the world has become, she's not just some season one innocent little girl anymore. She's a survivor in the zombie apocalypse and must continue to learn and see all the horrors in this world to continue to stay alive.

Carver made several good points during the episode, how the weak and incompitent (Ben/Reggie) are a liability to the others. I don't completely agree they should have just been murdered but that was Carver, much like the governor, has the basic right idea of what it takes to create a community and survive, but they both have taken it too far and enjoy the killing.. No one needs human heads in fishtanks to survive.

I wont say anyone is 'wrong' for choosing to leave, that's your choice for your reasons, but I feel leaving would be like hiding Sarah from the terrors in this world, she isnt strong enough emotionally to handle it all and may hesitate when it comes to making a very hard choice.

Seeing something like a man getting his brains bashed in would be one of the worse thing someone can see, so not much else would phase her.

I see alot mentioin wanting to keep Clem's humanity and I do get that, and everything that happens, everything Clem has to do chip's away little pieces of that humanity, but in this world, it's that humanity that will cause people to hesitate, or make decisions that will harm others.
(imagine) if Clem made Kenny leave Carver alive. Then later Carver kill's Kenny or someone else. It would be Clem's humanity that's to blame.

I think Clem has a good soul. She will grow into a person that will do whaever she need's to survive, but wont go around simply killing innocent people.
  • Left, there was no need for Clem to look at it, besides I didn't want to give Carver the satisfaction of wanting to stay.
  • I watched it, lol when I was watching te trailer for episode 3 and kenny said "you need need to see this" but I wante to see it lol
