Clementine Sweet Pea? just taking a wild guess
I can see Clementine changing her name to honour Lee thro. Clementine Everett
I don't think it would. Why can't she love them equally?
By the end of season 1, Lee loves Clementine as a daughter and I'm pretty sure it's mutual.
While Clem certainly loves her parents, as sad as it is, they are parents from another life. Lee became her father/parents, he made her into the person she is today and is probably the person who has influenced her most in her life, despite the relatively short time they spent together.
The person she is today was born of Lee's blood and sacrifice.
I don't think it's a 'fuck you' at all but rather a way of honoring Lee and the fact that he gave his life for her.
Well, would you love a man who took care of you for 4 months as much as you love your parents, who took care of you for 8 years?
Regardless of how Lee helped her, she just wouldn't disrespect her parents like that.
If Clem was an orphan who was brought up by monks or many different families, sure, she could change it to everett. But she was raised in a loving family.
She would have to actively *change* her surname. It's not like she would just add the name, she would actually *remove* the name her parents passed on to her.

Well, first off, I'm not 8. So there's that. The younger you are, the quicker you can develop deep relationships with guardian figures. Ask any parents who has adopted a kid (my mom included(no, not me)), they actually connect with you faster than you would think.
Also, I can't really imagine being in that situation - so there's really no way to answer that question.
And I think "took care of" is pretty much the understatement of the fucking century. Those two went though more together in those 4 months than most people would go through in several lifetimes. This also helps strengthen relationships.
By episode 5, Lee's love for Clementine is unconditional as that of a parent's. The scene where he walks through the herd shows this. He's a man that literally has nothing left in the world, except this girl who has indeed become his daughter.
You make it sound like he was just her babysitter for 4 months.
You also make the mistake of thinking that the amount of time they were together will change the way she feels.

When you talk to Caver in episode 2 you get the option to say that you are staying in the cabin with your dad, Carver asks what his name is and Clem will say "Ed". If she still classed Ed as her dad she will still use her real last name if questioned.

Well, if this was a question asked to Clem in the game, pretty sure we'd have these options.
Clementine (real last name)
Clementine Everett
None of your business.
...
Right, so since clem was younger when she spent 8 years with her parents than when she met Lee, she probably has a much strong guardian bond with them, yes?

Same, I'd love it too if there was a "[Stare Back]" option. I can just imagine Luke asking her and he's got his hands up slowly backing away like "damn girl, chill."
Of course she has a strong bond with her parents, I never said otherwise, but this doesn't stop her from having an equally strong bond with Lee. It's like you're not even reading what I write..
Trust me, blood doesn't mean anything to a child. Do you really think adoptive children love their biological parents more than their adoptive parents because they spent some of their childhood with them? It's entirely possible for them to have strong bonds with both. But most likely, the bond will get stronger and stronger with their newest guardian.
