Me and AWESOMEO were talking on steam about The game length, so we both decided to make this petition.
www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/telltale-games-make-the-walking-dead-game-season-2-s-episodes-longer#share

I would appreciate it if you would sign it.
(Also if you would tell me what telltale games' email is..)

Pretty sure no episodes were ever 3 hours long. But i may be wrong. Even if a load of fans sign this. It won't be taken into effect till season 3. They would have to write the remaining episodes again.

  • I would like to see episode length closer to the average of season 1 as well. Waiting 2 months for 2.5 hours is a lot better the. Waiting 2 months for 1.5 hours. :)
  • I am not going to sign, but not because I don't agree with it, because I don't feel comfortable with putting in my last name. But just know, that I agree with you 100 percent and you have my support. GIVE US LONGER EPISODES, TELLTALE!!!
  • I signed up. We can do this, I know it.
  • You can fake it, doesn't matter what you put in (just be a real person XD)

  • I timed it recently. 2 hours 27 minutes for someone who knows exactly where to go and what to do. It would have taken a lot of confusion for it to take 3 hours.

This is rather immature... Do you people have any idea what goes into making a video game like this? TellTale has really upped the ante in season 2, more choices, choices carrying over from season 1 ect ect... Do you really think they can do this and make longer episodes? It would take them months to make each episode to your demands.

You did not "pay for 2-3 hour episodes" if you can show me any bit of TellTale paperwork that says the episodes of season 2 will be this length I ask the you present them. If that is what you were hoping for and payed solely because of that, tough luck. Plus none of the episodes were 3 hours long, unless you got ridiculously confused.

TellTale has not stopped listening to anyone, I'm really not sure where you are getting this from. They are also allowed to make as many games as they like at once, don't forget they are a company. They doesn't exist to meet the sole desires of one fanbase, they exist to make money, it just so happens that they make some of the best story based games ever made. So to the people who say TellTale "don't care"... just, don't, look at the big picture here.

case in point, this petition is silly and will likely do very little. All you are accomplishing here is irritating the hard working company you claim to love so much and did you seriously make a template email for people to spam them with? *shakes head* All in all the episodes are fine, I would say they're better. Being a "hardcore fan" does not make you more important than any other fan. You people don't know how to make games (As a software developer I have a good knowledge) and you should really stop being so idealistic.

I'd suggest widening the scope of this and sticking to factual information.

However. No, we didn't pay for a game with two/three hour episodes. We simply paid for Walking Dead season two there was nothing in the product description which stated they would provide episodes which were several hours.

I''d not mentioned the quality of the episodes either. As that is purely opinion and not fact. As a lot of people have also stated they are enjoying season two a lot more than season one.

Working on multiple games at once. It needs to be proven this is effecting the production of their current games and not just speculated on. The first episodes of Walking Dead season two & Wolf Among Us were just as short as the episodes they are producing now and both would most likely have entered into development long before they are likely to have started work on Tales of Borderlands and Game of Thrones.

People that are saying that "we did NOT pay for 2 hour episodes" need to widen their scopes a bit. We assumed that they were going to be around the two hour length because that's how the entire Season 1 played out. So yes, there were many people expecting long immersive episodes, and you can't blame them. And as for hardcore fans and regular fans, I agree with you on that, there is no difference.
  • So they're raging and claiming TellTale don't listen and they've abandoned their fans because telltale has sacrificed time for quality? If they assumed anything that is their fault not TellTale's although the latter is being blamed for it. It's silly and immature.

  • Telltale could make the episodes longer AND make them have quality. Throw in a puzzle or something. If they weren't rushing TWD episodes then they would be able to do this. Season 1 was fantastic. It wasn't rushed one bit, and they were very fun to play and you got to play them for a good amount of time. Now, why can't Telltale make season 2 like this. There is legitimate proof that they rushed episode 3 (Nick was basically a Luke-bot) and it was pretty short. It was fun, the best one in the season in my opinion, but it could have been so much better if Telltale hadn't rushed it and if it was longer. Telltale just needs to take their time and ignore all the fans who won't stop crying about the how the episode is taking forever. It would make the experience much more enjoyable. Just my two cents.

Hmm, the problem is there is no legitimate proof of this. Nick was not "rushed" he was just forced into the background like all determinant characters are. They couldn't give him loads of stuff to do because some players didn't have him in their game. It's not rushing it just balancing. However there are legitimate reasons for this season being shorter as I explained before, most notably the increase in choices the amount of determinant characters and the choices from season 1 being carried over. I've been studying game design and software development for 2 years in university now, it's no easy feet to do this and I don't think you people respect or understand this. Season 2 is an amazing piece of programming work and this extra time you require will decrease the overall quality (assuming TellTale sticks to their schedule).

I've been in university for 2 years studying game design and software development. I have a VERY good idea what goes into games like this, it is ludicrously difficult I have first hand experience on how bally hard this is. Sorry to up myself here but I imagine I have a greater knowledge on the subject than most people here. I explained in my comment below how episode 3 was not rushed, please read that as I will not waste my time in repeating myself.

And finally, yes I will call it silly, because that's what it is. You will not budge a game company because a couple of "hardcore" fans demand it. Doing this will either take down their game quality or force them out of their schedule. They're a company they don't exist to please every single person, trust me they could be a hell of allot worse. Most people here really need to sit down and consider what goes into a game like this and stop prodding telltale. I mean, come on suggesting spamming them with emails? That's immature... To say the least.
