  • Ugh. All people who say episode is good get 5+ down votes.

COME AT ME BRO. Be a man and say it to my face... Or my screen. I mean come on, its pathetic to click a button when you don't like something.

Ah well. I don't care if you disagree because I'm sitting back laughing that the majority are spending their money on something they find disappointing :).

If you don't like it then leave. Maybe if Telltale saw that people were leaving, and no longer buying the game then they would step up their

  • well since i beat the episode i now kinda think going to carvers base was kind of a mistake, telltale always just stuck to on the road with the walking dead games and this was the first time weve been a base like carvers, a story line like that cant be rushed or just has to be done right in 90 minutes, the episode was good but was definitly rushed and couldve been handled much better.

  • it isn't fair to compare Season 1 to Season 2. With Season 1, there were no expectations back then. I think people got a overly high standpoint because they loved Season 1 so much, Fans have to remember it is just a game and you shouldn't get so attached to it, where you overreact on every small detail.

I am enjoying the game. I thought episode three was the best so far in this season , but that's just me.

Season 1 satisfied many and as a sequel you would think Season 2 will improve but instead it took a step backwards.

I urbanized Nick. If it works, Nick will live longer since Urbans never die first.

  • And yet look at the beautiful job TTG did with Season 1 so if you're going into the 2nd part of the game then YOU as a DEVELOPER should think about what people LOVED and what you can improve on in the next version of the game because you already have an idea.

  • I agree Telltale needs to slow down for a moment and take a breath. Besides Clem and Kenny, I haven't been able to bond with any of the new cast of S2, simply because the game is moving at too much of a breakneck pace for us to get to know anyone.

If season 1 was the original DAWN OF THE DEAD, season 2 is more like its remake. Flashy, gory and action-packed, but lacking its predecessor's pathos.
  • I actually didn't mean it like that, so I'll just go ahead and take the comment down to avoid anymore confusion.

Criticism is fine really. In fact, it helps you grow and improve. However, it does and would get tiring seeing everyone complaining. What it makes harder, in particular, is fathoming out what you need to listen to. Seeking the constructive feedback. But this is speaking in general and I'm not aiming my words at anyone in particular here. It's just a systematic problem of the web in general.

However, what would annoy me as an artist, is people demanding I change something like I owe it to them to make something the way they wanted, like what I wanted for a particular project doesn't matter at all if I'm happy with it. What my viewpoint would be, and is for people complaining here, is that if you find no enjoyment in the game as it currently is, it's probably a good idea not to continue buying Telltale's games. That is what I would do. Vote with my wallet. Of course, I'd also be sorry someone didn't enjoy my product, but . . . I wouldn't remake it to appease someone.

That said, it's still good to voice criticism. But just realise they don't owe it to you to make the game the want them too. Also, consider the fact that there are others out there who are perfectly happy with the product as it is (well, not perfectly, because it's very rare when something is perfect). So, what you want isn't representative of everyone else and the chances are good that if you manage to get the changes implemented, it'll make others start complaining. Fact of the matter is that nothing ever made has been universally liked, so with subjectivity being what it is, it's impossible to satisfy everyone.

Criticism is fine. But its come to a point where 1/4 of the threads have been about how disappointing, and bad, this episode has been. I fee

  • It wasn't that bad for me...

I'm sorta on the same page as you too. Episode 3 wasn't as 'dun dun duuun' as I was expecting. It's still good without a doubt, but Episode 2 is still one I call my favorite this season and is probably the episode i've replayed the most.

I think what bothered it for me was just the lack of hubs for this particular episode. I know people go on about this, but when you compare it to first episode of this season, there wasn't really much that we really had control of in Episode 3. We had less control with the sneaking elements in stealing the walkie-talkies or setting off the microphone system thingy to attract the walkers, than we did back in Episode 1 when breaking into the cabin [although granted you were having to collect a lot more things, but you still had more freedom on where you went].

Times they let a cutscene roll instead of allowing you just to walk on over to the characters before letting things play out themselves before hand would've made all the difference for what was a story driven episode [yes even when Clem had the bucket of nails I wouldn't have minded being able to control her while she walked along being unnerved by the sound of those walkers banging at the barricade, maybe even gotten a silly jumpscare where one hit could've the wood really hard and startled her.]

All I'd ask is for next episode just to give us a little more of what we had in Episode 1. Story's good, but I'd just like to know I'm pressing buttons other than for dialogue responses XD But then, it is just one episode. Not all of them are going to be same. Like how first person shooter thing in Season 1 only appeared in Episode 4 and that was it. I played all of season 1 near to when all the episodes were out, so I played it like a complete package. So it's hard to judge the season as a whole when we've still got 2 episodes to go that might do things a little different and be superior to this one.

Hey SaltLick how have you been? Did you enjoy 203? I did :)

  • I most certainly enjoyed 203. I only wish we had an option to save Reggie or Troy, and talk to the 400 days cast. From how Clem reacted when Becca was talking crap on Sarah, I think we will see the cast again and Clem will put Becca in her place lol. Nobody disrespects Clem or her friends. I'm doing well thanks :)

The only thing I didn't like was The 400 days people's role and Nick basically being a glitch there. Sometimes it felt like he wasn't even supposed to be a part of the game. I wish we had a choice to smack Becca.

Telltale definitely knows that the fans are upset with several aspects of season two. They might not read every single post here, but they have a general idea of the problems that a lot of fans are having when so many fans are voicing their concerns about the same problems like they are now. I'm sure that has gotten their attention. They probably care about what the fans want considering we are their customers and they want us to keep coming back. I'm sure they will try to fix some of the problems that seem to be affecting a large portion of the players, but I don't know how capable they are of changing this season around. I think they are very limited in what they can change in the last two episodes, but hopefully I'm wrong about that, but even if I'm not it will probably have an affect on future games.

They never acted like a company that had a lot of confidence in continuing their TWD success as they didn't seem to invest much in expanding their company even though they were picking up big new projects they probably would have never gotten without the huge success of TWD. They lost a lot of their top staff around this time for whatever reason as well. Constructive criticism is a very good thing and I would like for more fans to speak out. I've posted a lot of criticism since I've become a member here and I'll admit that a lot of it wasn't very constructive lol
