around the corner is something you say when something is really close, and even if it's vague, 1 month away is not "around the corner"

There were changes made. But probably not in the way some fans wanted. (Basically, a free DLC/update was made available. I can't remember the specifics, but I think they added a bit of extra dialog, plus extended the ending to include more information on what happened as a result of choices made)
