A Rant about Sarah
So I've been watching Let's Plays to relieve my day-to-day boredom, and so I watched Pewdiepie's play through of Episode 3. I noticed how he, and, of course, a lot of people are being total assdouchebags toward her. And so, to my thesis, SARAH IS MOTHERFUCKING AUTISTIC. How many of you make fun of aspies/autists IRL? Furthermore, I want to clear some of the common BS about Sarah:
1: "OMG SHE'S FUCKING ANNOYING!"
BECAUSE SHE'S AUTISTIC DICKWAD. We Aspies tend to be 'annoying' because we can't read social cues that others seem miraculously able to do.
2. "BUT SHE'S USELESS!"
So the solution is to treat her like shit instead of helping her know what to do?
3."She needs to toughen up!"
Oh please. Half of the people who say this are gonna piss their motherfucking pants in a real life ZA. They'll be crying like a little pussy when they have to do the actual hard shit.
4. "No, brah, she has anxiety disorder."
Actually, a part of autism/Aspergers is comorbidity, where in addition to be autistic, you have another disorder like bipolar or anxiety. So the autism part still makes sense even in that aspect.

P.S. I've never disliked her. The only time she really bothered me was when Carver found the polaroid of her under her bed.
Every post you did had brah in it, but not anymore... Why did you stop?
But yeah, fuck all this hate. Sarah is any cool Clem's best friend. And I'd say she plays a very important role. In a world filled with evil people like Carver and where even one's own group members can fall into pretty grey areas, Sarah is still innocent. That gives Clem somebody to want to protect and teach to be strong. Someone who will help her retain her humanity, which is at times perhaps at risk of slipping, after the ordeal of Carver and the influence of skull-bashing Kenny.

Sarah does NOT deserve the hate that she gets. If anything, Carlos is probably to blame for being so over-protective of her, but even then I can't say I blame him. Just because Lee was able to teach young innocent Clementine how to survive, doesn't mean all other fathers are.
And I don't really care if Sarah does have Autism or Aspergers. I like her as a character, and her mental condition (if she has one) doesn't change what I think about her in the least.
I tried to help Sarah whenever I could because it was better to have someone know what to do (even if they end up being incapable) than to have them just do nothing - if they survive, at least they have a second chance with the memories of their lesson in tact. Maybe the main reason she ran off (besides losing her dad) was that she also lost the 'expert' who helped her understand what she can't on her own, and no one else has that same reliable history that Carlos had with her, so she might as well be on her own.
I really hope that when Clem finds Sarah (and if you've helped her a lot), Sarah ends up being really capable and kind of flippant about it, realizing that she was scared for no good reason. I doubt that outcome a lot, but it would be funny all the same.
Same with the other similar threads, to a lesser degree.
