unpopular Opinion = Trolling
Why use that stereotyping? For example, If you go to any #TeamAntiSarah thread you'll find dozens of discussions. Maybe no entirely civil, But they're open. Try entering a popular opinion's thread with an unpopular opinion and see what happens, #TeamSarah for example. We have to understand that To each their own and you need to discuss your opinion freely and without restraining others.

I get this a lot sadly, it isn't a great feeling being accused of trolling when your opinion is that unpopular.

People try to supress opinions that differ from their own. In real life, that would be the odd lady that calls you "offensive racist" for saying that you like the looks of asian girls and since this doesn't work on here, the same kind of people say you are trolling to make others think that you aren't serious and thus making your opinion itself invalid.
Or they are just bigots that can't accept that there are opinions that are so much different from their own "enlighted" views.
I handled it that way. But you can't ignore it's a problem here.

Leo8Skylar, I know you don't like sarah, but im not going to hold a grudge on you and "not like" you because of that. I have no problem with you at all. that also goes to anybody else her that likes antisarah. Im actually proud at how people stand up for their opinions on here.
I don't think ive ever said that whoever likes aniti sarah is trolling. because I don't think its trolling, its just an opinion on something from someone's point of view. Just thought id say that to diminish any confutation any of you might be having with the things I say.

For me, it started over two years ago. Yes, I can be a little weird and have strange interests and opinions, but that doesn't give people a reason to call me a troll. I feel like a lot of the time I have to hold back on speaking my opinions because nobody would take me seriously anyway. If it's not being accused of being a troll, then it's just hate that I receive. This hasn't happened as often lately though, which might be a good sign.

Same, I don't hate or dislike others for having different opinions than me. It just gets irritating when some make their opinions sound like a fact by saying mine doesn't count. They're called "opinions" for a reason. I can ignore the hate I get, but it just gets annoying when people hold your opinion against you and don't see you the same way again.

Personally I always just concentrate on giving my honest opinion whether I think it's popular or not then for me downthumbs or responses don't matter at all. I rather get 20 downthumbs/abuse for being honest then following the popular answer and getting 20 thumbs up. I always get abuse for my more edgy comments but once your honest everything else is irrelevant to me as long as I got my point across then who cares.

I agree. Everyone has their own opinion though, so go ahead. Still, just some subjects, if you think a certain thing, it is just so unpopular that people will hate on it, give you dislikes, and insult you. Sorry this has happened to you, and sorry if I might have contributed.

We're here to respond to the problem and make people who had this problem feel they are not alone. It matters, If you really don't believe in it, No one is forcing you to stay.
Let me explain this to you again, honestly this thread is hilarious. I read your first post and i laughed out loud. It sounds like your own personal pity party. This is sad i have to explain this to you but okay.
For example say i wanted to make a unpopular opinion. I will show you the steps and how i would approach this task.
Kenny fans forgive me but i am going to use Kenny in this example.
Topic Kenny is a danger to the group.
Subject : In my **opinion ** i believe Kenny is a danger to the group. I think this because of the way he has behaved in Season 2. A example of this was the brutality, in the manner he killed Carver. Another example of this is Kenny's rash plans, where he never thinks anything through. He is hostile to Mike, without cause. He also seems to be losing his mind a bit, this worries me because he might not be able to make the right decisions for the group.

Can you please show me specific occasion where i attacked anyone on this forum? Oh wait you can't, because your full of it. I am not welcome at your pity party, oh god WHAT WILL I EVER DO with my time. I am pretty sure there are a few instances either today or yesterday if i go back through my feed, i CAN show examples where you attacked me, but i took the more mature route and didn't retaliate.

I have a policy of being accurate with my hatred of something, so that at least it's factually supported. If my dislike also happens to be unpopular, then I welcome whatever constructive criticism follows, but try to ignore the obvious shit-throwing. On the other hand, thinking that saying your unpopular opinions is just trolling is the unfortunate curse of the internet: you can't really verify the intent of the one who posted whatever, and it's way too much trouble to find out, so that just makes it much easier to say whatever you want and "get away with it", even though trolling in itself is a genuinely worthless activity because it's very rarely acutally verified.
At most, the effort put into making others mad on the internet and then believing you've done so based on the response is more for short-term kicks. so it may just be those kinds of people who lack self-restraint or want to feel focused on while not really being known (because they'd otherwise be ashamed of what they're doing) that do those sorts of things. Maybe also it's a really cowardly way of standing outside of real life consequences for the novelty or uniqueness of the experience.
