Reasons why I didn't like Luke since E3
It is unfair that people keep defending Luke. As I played E3, I could not wait to get not he forums and see what ppl said but y'all are still defending him after ALL he has done. Why be a fan? He hasn't done anything or proved himself at all.
Ep1
drops clem on her ass, thinking she was bit and did not advocate for her
Ep 2
makes clem do the talking/climbing and she ends up saving his ass on the bridge
bails on the group when carver comes
Ep 3
Gets caught trying to get food
suggests leaving kenny and other group members behind
doesn't want to kill carver
he just doesn't have any heart/balls at all

Second of all, he was right when he said that no one would shoot a little kid and I don't see how her saving him is a flaw on his part but you have other reasons i'm sure...
He doesn't bail on the group, he had a plan to follow them and attack them that way.
He also can't help that he was caught. If you didn't notice, he really fucking needed the food. Clem has gotten caught before too and no one was like "Cllleemmmmm you fucked up and shit and now you're my least favorite character..."
You do have a point when he suggested to leave Kenny, honestly, it makes sense because Kenny wouldn't be able to move. If it were the other way around where Luke was beat to shit and Kenny was asking to leave Luke, everyone would be fine with it but no one ever thinks of that.
I do get your anger or frustration at him not wanting to kill Carver. There's probably back-story on that we'll learn later, and yeah that bit was sort of sketchy...
I'm not saying you shouldn't hate Luke. If you want to hate him, by all means, hate him... but try to avoid bringing up invalid reasons.
Luke wants to leave Kenny behind even though he initally didn't want to.
Forums: Screw Luke. How dare Luke even suggest such a thing. I lost respect for Luke.
Kenny wants to leave Luke behind.
Forums: Good ol' Kenny. That's the Kenny I know and love. Who else but Kenny? (Quagmire reference)
I'm pretty sure anybody would freak out if they were about to lead someone with a potential walker bite back to a community filled with people. And, um, no. He was the only one advocating for her.
That's a hell of a lot of advocating, if you ask me.
bails on the group when carver comes
He explained before that it's less likely for someone to shoot a little girl than an older male. Being around children is more disarming than a guy in his late twenties carrying a weapon. At this point, he's already starting to trust Clementine a lot. Nick was unfit to do this, Carlos had to stay back to watch Sarah, and Alvin had Rebecca. Luke also walked for three days without rest and food in order to reunite with his group.
suggests leaving kenny and other group members behind
doesn't want to kill carver
He's a human being who had gone without food for days. He's shaken and not feeling too well so of course he would give into the temptation of sneaking some food away. LUKE ALSO DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE KENNY BEHIND. Everyone else was suggesting that they leave straight away. Luke was the only one who cared to mention that Kenny wasn't stable enough to follow them. All Luke was saying was that if they were serious about leaving as soon as possible, they would have to leave Kenny behind. Luke's preferred plan was to "wait for an opening" and wait until all of them were in better shape.
Thank you.
If Kenny found it Clem in the woods (If Kenny don't know Clem), then he do the same thing, or worse.
Yes Luke dropped Clem, but this not so bad thing.
You probably forgotten, Kenny didn't care toom much abot Clem in S1E4, whe she is gone. He is just drunk and drunk, but this thing is just gone. So stop this "he dropped Clem like a shit, and i hate him for this"... Nick almost shot her face, but almost all people forgotten this too.
Carver and Troy hit Clem. So i can find much more worse character in this game than Luke. Luke is Clem big bro.
i like Kenny and Luke. They are so good character.
quinnics: You make good points!
Keep in mind that Luke had already been walking for 5 days before they got to the lodge, granted he was with the group and likely had more rests and food, it would still take a toll on you physically.
1 question, how come Luke decides to take 1 Walker on a bridge instead of 2? He lets Clem take out 2 Walkers while he - grown man who is much stronger only tries to take 1
Not hating on Luke, but it was quite of a stupid decision. Would be actually good if it depended on who you chose to take out by the bridge (shorty or the bigger walker), if Shorty - Clem goes for 1 walker, if Tall 1 - Clem goes for 2 walkers
"he just doesn't have any heart/balls at all"
He have heart. He didn't wanna kill carver, because Luke is a too good person. Yes Carver deserved the death, but this brutal death is not so hero thing. So i don't like Kenny more because he killed Carver this way. I'm curious what happening in Episode 4 (Sarita's death).
Because 1 walker can you kill easy. And if he killed that 1 walker, they can go back to the group. This was Luke's plan.
I'm sorry hun, but you don't like Luke cause:
Makes Clem do the talking/climbing
We are the PLAYABLE character. How much fun would it be if we watched Luke do everything?
Save his ass.
He accidently fell through!! Who else was meant to do it? Besides, he ensure Clem is safe and stable before she rescues him.
3.Bails on the group
..To follow a moving truck on foot, for God knows how long without food/sleep. Yeah, real douche here, am I right?
I know, Luke's a terrible guy.
Defending Clem when the others thought she was bitten, and even when he wasn't sure himself.
Offering her food when nobody else did.
Looking for her, Nick and Pete when they went missing.
Actually 'asking' her if she wants to come with them, instead of just saying 'bitch, you get yo ass moving to those mountains y'hear?'
Trusting her to tag along to cross the bridge.
Thanking her for saving his life and shielding her from getting shot while on the bridge.
Willing to lie about a Matthew's death to protect Nick from getting killed by Walter.
Travels days without eating or sleeping to try and rescue his friends from Carver's camp before the massive herd overruns the place.
Starving and exhausted he still tries to rescue his friends from Carver's camp before the massive herd overruns the place, when he could've just forgotten about them all and gone on his way.
Owns up to it being his fault that Kenny got hurt by Carver.
Yep, what a turd.
"I come all this way.......and this is the thanks I get?"
I am starting to think that Casdow only made this thread to piss people off, I dunno why, but I think that's why he did it.
I think so too, but hey, us Luke supporters came out in full force anyway lol
He is probably sitting there, laughing right about now...
Wow, I don't know if you're serious, but if you are your reasoning is really stupid.
Haven't we been through this already? He thought he was holding a bitten person that could turn and attack him at any moment. He got scared, it's not like he did it deliberately to hurt her. He did not advocate for her? Are we playing the same game? He and Pete were the only ones that did!
That comes with being a PC. The group had Clem do almost all the risky stuff necessary to get them out of Carver's camp and Luke was barely there.
How exactly did he bail on the group? He walked for days without any food or sleep just to help them! Unless you think surrendering and getting caught would be better.
I don't like Luke very much. I really counted on him to get me out of the shed situation but he failed. Running away and then the manner in which he got Clementine's attention was also ridiculous and unacceptable. It's obvious he has no balls and that he could be working with another group. My only concern is that they're setting up the season for him to finally stand up to Kenny.
yes just what he said yes
This is so true.
Take my like.
TAKE IT.
The people that gave the counter points to casdow90 comments pretty much hit the nail on the head, I would just like to add one more thing. Luke is a person that is capable of making mistakes just like everyone else Clementine or Lee ever came into contact with, hell even those two made some. This game has clearly shown that no one is perfect, but that is what makes the characters so damn interesting.

OR ELS
Also, just want to point out with dropping Clem, he has no idea how old her bite was. She was super weak, for all he knows, she could turn there and then!
Love your points, take a like!
He succeeded to get us out of the shed. If you listen to the entire kitchen conversation, you'd hear Carlos revealing that Clem may die if they don't treat it. As soon as that is made clear, he argues defiantly that they should fix her arm and apologise for being assholes. He is the ONLY one in the kitchen that argues for that. Hence, we see him as the first one to open the door. I believe they were on their way anyway, but he heard the walker vs Clem fight as he left the cabin, hence they all run for the shed.
I also believe he never ran away, (this hasn't been made clear) I guess he saw Carver come through, and decided to lie low. He followed the truck for a few days and nights without food or sleep. It's also clear he was camping in the comic store, there's some bedding near the back.
As to whether he's working with someone else, who knows. But he's not a bad guy, at heart.
OK! OK! I'LL TAKE IT!
grabs like and runs away
MUHAHAHAHA
I never cared for Luke other than from an aesthetic stand point. He's handsome, but he's a boring character. Nick is an ass, but at least that's more interesting than Nice Guy Luke.
