Witch pop, dream pop, experimental, electronic, and indie rock. I like almost everything, save for blues and oldies, but those genres are my… more top favorites.
I'm a fan of classical too, but I don't listen to it nearly as often. Tchaikovsky, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Chopin, and Handel are my favorite composers.
My top favorite bands/groups: Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, Austra, Bombay Bicycle Club, Boards of Canada, Múm
My top individual artists: iamamiwhoami, Grouper, Lykke Li, Grimes, Françoise Hardy
Mark Kozelek one of the greatest singers known to man, and maybe only a handful know of his existence. I will listen to one of his songs right now, So sweet. After helping a neighbor put up a fence, nothing like sitting down with a death stick, and listening to his soothing voice.
Anyone here listen to Alterbridge?
I have a very weird taste in music, by that I mean I listen to anything... It ranges from rock to alternative
My favourite bands at the moment are Alterbridge, The Darkness, Oasis and Busted. Yeh, haha

My favorite kind of music is rock, especially of the alternative and/or independent persuasion. My all-time favorite artists include Harry Nilsson, Heatmiser, Elliott Smith, Liz Phair, Pavement, Veruca Salt, Black Sabbath, Mac DeMarco, RHCP, Nirvana, AIC, Rob Morsberger, Pearl Jam, St. Vincent, The Pop Group Bis, Belly, Led Zeppelin, Killing Joke, Nine Inch Nails, Limblifter, Speedy Ortiz, Mr. Bungle, Sleater-Kinney, Sebadoh, and Queens of The Stone Age.
Lately I've been getting into some AmRep bands like Tar and Cows and Halo of Flies, as well as some great '80s alternative like Husker Du and Meat Puppets. I also love classical and bluegrass, but mostly classical.
Anyone listen to any Funk? I barely heard any of it until I spent some time listening to Space 103.2 in GTA V , but now I can't get enough. Some of my favorites are Bootsy Collins, James Brown and George Clinton.
It's amazing to see how much modern-day Rock and Hip-Hop owes to 60's-70's African-American genres like Funk, Soul and Motown.
When I write, I always have a few songs that I listen to that I connect to the story in some way. Right now, I'm actually writing a fic on (some of) Christa and Clementine's 16 months together in episodic format, and my playlist for it is basically all of the songs from "good kid, m.A.A.d. city" by Kendrick Lamar - specifically "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe," "Money Trees," "M.A.A.D. city," and "Swimming Pools." I love rap and hip hop - I practically grew up surrounded by it, living in south central LA.
I also love M.I.A. (Double Bubble Trouble is the jam and Bad Girls is the anthem), Adele, Alanis Morissette, Green Day, Nirvana, TLC... I have a wide range of music, I guess. I love 90's and early 2000's music the most lol.

Oh God yes, Boards of Canada!! I fucking love those guys. One of the best artists to come out of Scotland. I haven't seen a BOC fan in ages.
I must ask, though: what is witch pop? Never heard of it.

Devvo mate
Is it dead?
I used to listen to Busted a lot. They've joined with Mcfly now.
I can tell you Alter Bridge's new Fortress album is on my wishlist. Guess I'm a sucker for any modern song that mentions Achilles.
Off to collect me dole moneys from Job Center mate
Cry of Achilles, 5:50 into the song. S'all I'm saying, haha
I like a lot of music, but Calvin Harris is my favourite artist.
