Picking up words/phrases/speech patters from The Walking Dead Game

so ever since you started playing the walking dead have you picked up any words or different ways of saying things or really anything? I have picked up some stuff from Luke and Nick, such as ending ing words with an in, such as getting to gettin' or making to makin' and i use aint' a lot now and sometimes I talk with a bit of their southern type accent :P anyone else or just me?

I know that Luke says it quite a bit, I havent heard kenny say it in awhile, maybe i just don't notice, but i remember Luke saying a lot of phrases i picked up, when he talked to Clem at Carvers camp, he says "All right listen, we aint got much time okay? i followed y'all here best i could, havent had a nights rest since y'all got nabbed... and well this is the first time i got the chance to talk to somebody, theyre everywhere okay, they got guards watchin' everything, theres a herd of lurkers just south of us. its bigger than i ever seen around these parts. yeah i heard folks talkin about that but that aint so okay? its gonna hit this place i know it is... i dont know when, but its comin' and its gonna be soon, see ive been lookin for places to.. to get y'all free

Ive started saying y'all even though no one in England ever says that. I picked it up off Luke.
I caught myself saying "Stay lucky" the other day. After I realized it, I almost cried.
I have a friend named Nick who plays this game. I literally tell him every other day that he is becoming a danger to the group, or ask him where the fuckin' river is. It never gets old for me haha.
I have also started saying y'all, too, which kind of sounds weird considering my accent.
I find myself using the term "shitbird" more often these days. Feels good, man.
I'm English and due to this game (and others I suppose) I use American phrases and pronunciation. My friends at University tell me off for it. Ahah

I picked up "ain't" and I add "-in" instead of "-ing." Like, runnin, sleepin, watchin, stuff like that. It doesn't really sound weird when I say it, considering I'm an American.

I cuss more lol, and say "ain't" and "y'all" more, as the game takes place in the South.

Well i've been sounding southern every now and then (randomly) and i've used 'shitbird' and 'asswipe' a lot. I've also said ain't and nuthin' a lot as well...
This isn't a phrase at all, but i've noticed every now and then i'll walk like Clementine does... I don't know how to describe it, but I guess it's very awkward. I caught myself in the act yesterday...
heh, with my accent shitbird sounds weird.... By "walk like Clementine", do you mean when you control her with the Mouse/keyboard/contoller, or when she walks in cutscenes?

XD It's for fanfic stuff, although I really get conflicted because I'm always trying to decide 'now I do write it the word correctly or by how he says it?' And then all the stupid 'in' and 'ing' at the ends of words like 'going' or 'being' gets really confusing because he doesn't always use them in the subtitles at times, and I'm just staring at a sentence for a couple minutes just 'thinkin' or thinking?' if it'll be too confusing for the reader, until I'm left a trembling sobbing heap on the floor in need of whiskey from a jar.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to have a serious Luke revision when I'm done. Don't even get me started on Nick or Kenny, they do it too! T_T
has anyone else noticed how much Luke says "okay"? Because I've started using it a lot lol. And I've used "swear" more than once... even though I swear a shit ton.

Otherwise, not really. My normal Pennsylvania German accent drops the G's at the end of words anyway, so that doesn't really count.

Not much of a phrase or anything, but I tend to speak to myself a lot more often. I mean before I spoke to myself quite a lot, but ever since The Walking Dead it has increased.

English actually still isn't my first language, so pretty much everything English rubs off on me a bit. Even after 20 someodd years.
My English spelling/pronouncation takes a long walk across the entire English speaking world at the moment.
