What are your opinions on the supernatural?
What are your opinions on the supernatural? To prevent confusion we'll define supernatural as everything from God to ESP to aliens to ghosts, as examples.
Personally, I'm an agnostic, so IDK about God. I believe in prescient dreams (because I've had them). I believe that aliens exist but IDK if they've visit Earth. I don't know about ghosts however.
What about you?

I don't believe in any religion really, but ghosts and spirits I think are fun to believe in (even if I don't see dead people).
What if you see Bruce Willis?
Then I know that I can see dead people! Ahah
sincerely, I still don't know what to believe or not
Well you're honest.
I have to say, that's kind of sad. I have certain beliefs, and not knowing what to believe in can be very frightening in a world like this.
My guides here are James Randi and Richard Dawkins.
That should say about enough about my beliefs.
I don't believe there are things beyond the laws of nature. But I do believe that the laws of nature extend beyond what we know. Everything that exists has a mechanistic explanation behind it. It's just a question of whether or not we can figure it out.
Specifically, I highly doubt there's a god of any sort, the notion of ghosts and spirits doesn't make any sense to me, and I think ESP is largely just some combination of coincidence and our tendency to pick out patterns in the world, regardless of whether or not they're actually there.
Aliens almost certainly exist though. It's a ridiculous notion that in the grand scheme of things, living things have only ever emerged on this one random planet in a random solar system in a random spiral arm of a random galaxy in a random cluster.
Honestly, I have no clue. I have my doubts about divine beings, so I guess that sort of extends to ghosts/spirits. I'm undecided about ESP. It's far fetched, but the human brain is capable of amazing things. Somewhere alien life must exist, there are plenty of other recorded planets that lie within the habitable zones of their stars.
I am an atheist, scratch that, I am an Orthodox Pastafarian. I would not believe in ghosts, but, I feel that in a way, people's consciousness does exist after they die. My dog recently died, and I have had her since I was two, she was like a sister to me. We have two other dogs now, and they do not fill the hole that Chloe (Our other dog) left in our hearts. Sometimes, I feel Chloe brush up against my leg when I am sitting on the couch. This one time, I saw Chloe sitting on the couch while I was watching TV, and reached out to pet her and then suddenly remembered she had passed away, I turned back towards her, and she was gone. This is likely just my imagination playing tricks on me, but I do not want to believe it.
EDIT: A picture of Chloe, taken after she got back from the vet, and we found out she had bladder cancer, which she eventually succumbed to.
I don't think is sad... I come from a religious family... but i still have so many questions that sometimes Idk if I should believe or not... I guess I will learn with the future.
I'm a man of science, The Bible talks shit in my opinion, it says not to do certain things yet the people in the book break the rules anyway, not putting my fucking face into a religion that can't follow it's own rules, and even if them rules where allowed, I still wouldn't go to that religion because it means there psychopaths.
Whoa calm down. Anyway, there are atheist and agnostic psychos, aren't there? It doesn't matter what your beliefs are if you're a psycho because you'll use them for your psycho goals. Carver used his Social Darwinism to justify killing Reggie.
I am calm and I don't know WTF you just said.
I said that you can be an agnostic or atheist and a psycho. It doesn't matter what your beliefs are if you're a psycho because you'll twist your beliefs for your own gain.
What? Who said I was a psycho? I said The Bible betrays it's own rules.
I think as a Kid most People believing in Ghosts in some Way. You're hearing Stories/Rumors from Family, Friends. Checking out some spooky Places in your Area. Going out in the Dark etc. Then you're automatically seeing Shadows in your Sight and such.
As a Adult i'm not that sure. Ghosts which haunts through Castles and Mansions.. Dunno.
I absolutely believe in Extraterrestrials though. They are just far, far away. And maybe not even civilized as we are at this Rate. Or way more. But i don't think they having any clue about Earth. And who is saying they are able to realise Interstellar Travels? The Arguments are endless but i think we shouldn't see ourselves as Magnum Opus in the WHOLE Universe. Thats ridiculously self-centred and ignorant.
I possess none.
Taking things out of context. I said that there are psychos no matter your religion. Since you don't get it: there are good Christians ans bad atheists as much as we have good atheists and bad Christians.
I absolutely agree with you there. We aren't the center of the universe at all. We will probably all go extinct, but what can we do? We're obligated by the laws of the universe to die off.
Wat wat wat? You don't understand, I said The Bible does things that are considered psychotic. I could say what but I don't want to start a shit show.

This pretty much sums it up,
When i was in college with my brother, we were walking home from a bar and we got jumped by a group of people. They beat the shit out of me, and stabbed my brother once. He was stabbed in the heart and died instantly. A few months later i would hear noises in my house every night around 12:36 AM. The same noises he would make when he was drunk walking up the stairs. The same sort of creaking when he was stone drunk hanging on the banister trying to make it to his room. At the time drank to make the noises disappear, sometimes i hear things or i've seen something i can't really explain. I just try to ignore it the best i can. Lately it has been pretty quiet.
Sorry to hear that. There are.. screwed-up People out there. I'll never get their Violence for no Reason.
Our dog Gizmo passed away last year. He was at least somewhat sick at every single moment throughout his entire life. He was a golden so he had health problems galore! But, I honestly feel that he was more than a dog. I know that sounds silly, but he was. He gave off a weird vibe, as if he was greater than he appeared. He was extremely intelligent and sweet. And when I say intelligent, I don't just mean he knew how to sit and stay, but he knew how to spell, how to pick up on how we were feeling and effectively communicate with us, and more.
He had an almost divine way about him. He was an old soul. He passed away due to lymphoma cancer. It was so sudden. He was feeling sick over the weekend, and at the end of the next week, we sent him to the vet. That night we got the call that we had to put him down. That night our short 8 years with him ended. But I honestly believe that his soul had already lived for hundreds of years, so hopefully now his soul can rest. I'm glad he's in a better place. Right now I'm sitting by a window with the view of the ocean in which we put his ashes. That was his "happy place" as we used to call it. Now he can live there forever and still be close to home. You know, I'm at peace with it now, but it does come back and hit you hard sometimes. I'm sorry about your dog. I know what you're going through.
I now have two dogs as well, named Oliver and Temperance. They're both rescues. I honestly feel like Gizmo would be proud of us. We're using his old home as a new home for two rescue puppies.
*EDIT Here's a picture of Gizmo for you! He was a very large dog, haha! He thought he was a lap dog. Here he is taking himself for a walk.
