Did Clem have "the talk"?

Did she have it? Now, I understand children now know a whole bunch of things they shouldnt at a very you g age. But Clem is still only 11 and has been in an apocolypse with no internet or tv to find out anything about sex. Ex: "whose baby is it?" "If it's not Alvin's then whose is it?" How does she know about that stuff and what it means by "please let it be his". She knew very well what she meant.

  • Christa.

She probably helped deliver her baby, it'd be odd if she didn't explain anything to her.

  • Christa probably told her before Omid died. Omid probably pushed her into it or Clementine simply asked.

  • Like Carl in the comics, she would probably be like "Uh... yeah... sex and stuff, right?"

  • Like Carl in the comics, she would probably be like "Uh... yeah... sex and stuff, right?"

  • There's a fanfiction about Clem asking Luke where babies come from and it's hilarious!! Here it is:

  • I don't think per parents told her, but she probably learned some things during one of the time skips in the apocalypse.

  • Double post strikes again

  • The birds and the bees. I'm sure someone told her very vaguely what THAT whole thing is.

Whats funny is me imagining her reaction after someone told her...

    Clementine: "Ew, gross."

  • xD that ending!!!

~I think I reacted this way, but Sarah would also be pretty scarred, especially if she puts two and two together about the baby making process...

  • LMAO, she's so cute when she's terrified. And she's just plain adorable all the time. I get the feeling she knows less than Clementine, way less than Clementine, about anything of that sort. How could it be explained to such an innocent and nervous girl.

  • Probably so. She just needs some Xanax :P

Imagine she has really low tolerance and one Xanax makes her hit the floor.

Clem: "Take one of these they'll calm you down"

    Sarah takes one with water

Sarah: "What exactly will hap--" drops to the ground

  • This thread is just wrong. Why are you people concerned about whether Clem understands the birds and the bees...

  • Need episode 4. Really need episode 4. :S

  • why is this thread 'wrong'??! there's nothing wrong with wanting to know if she knows.

  • True. There's nothing wrong with the science of the human body.

  • "Aw, that's cute, Clem"

  • It is not "wrong", I think. But I guess you all know how exactly these discussions degenerate into something that clearly isn't.

Tread carefully here please, and don't be insulted when mods close the thread rather quickly.

  • well, if all these rule 34 pics are an indicator, she probably knows more about it than most of the guys on this forum.

    luckily, they aren't.

  • Well, she was very young when Lee found her and I suppose she didn't know about it at that time. So, maybe she asked Lee about it... That would have been so awkward if we controlled Lee when she asked the question.

-Lee, where do babies come from?

    1.Huh...

    2.Ask someone else...

    3.[Give her the talk]

    4.Silence is a valid option.

I found out about birds and bees when I was 6 or 7 so maybe Clementine already knew this. But Christa probably told her about that.

  • I can't stop laughing at that ending lol

When I was a bit younger than Clem, some jackass in my school found out how babies were made and decided he started his adolescence, which made me ask my parents. So, basically, at 11 I knew where everything went, but I had those silly preadolescent ideas about sex. For example, once I told my sister (who asked why some people had twins) that if you had a lot of sex you'd have twins XD.

Most importantly, I highly doubt Christa would have any problem with this. Having "the talk" is a part of growing up, and Clem needed to grow up, and fast. I always assumed Christa broke the news to her and she has a very basic (and probably hilarious) notion about sex, like I did at her age.

  • The very notion of teaching an 11 year old girl about sex during a lawless time just feels creepy to me. I would not be the one to give her that talk, chances are she will die before she meets a nice boy anyway lol

Actually, I think it's because he wants Clem to stay a child and keep her innocence. She already dealing with more much death, pain and gore than most people, and acting like a grown up about it. I guess that if she is at least innocent about this, maybe there's still a part of the wide-eyed Clem from S1 in her...

This thread is just wrong. Why are you people concerned about whether Clem understands the birds and the bees...

  • Nope, nope not reading fan fics, I'm done.

Isn't she supposed to be fifteen though? Surely by then she would be told the gist of it. Especially if she's been around Rebecca.

  • Some fanfics are the best thing in the world.

Nope, nope not reading fan fics, I'm done.

  • She might have been told, I just can't picture it because of how innocent she is, can you imagine how she would react, it would make any young girl uncomfortable, but it would make Sarah ten times more uncomfortable. But she's not stupid, so there's no way she doesn't know at least the half of it.

  • She might know. She's 11, i was about that age when i learned about how sex works, so she might know.

  • Specially because before the walkers started walking, Sarah would've been around 12 and I'm pretty sure you would have been taught something by then.
