Agreed but all I'm saying is that Kenny is not the exact same person from S1. He's kind of a loose cannon, to be honest. I love the guy, I really do, but he's gonna snap soon.
But he's not stable.
Nobody one hundred percent okay would brutally smash a crowbar into someone's face. Say what you will about Carver, … morebut what Kenny did had absolutely nothing to do with just keeping himself and the group safe. It was about vengeance and letting out that anger, not survival. Nobody one hundred percent stable would accidentally call a young girl by his deceased son's name.
Kenny, because of his family's death, is more rash than ever - probably even more prone to snapping at the people he cares about (see: Kenny snatching the boxes out of Sarita's hands and saying 'I got it!').
What do you mean Clementine was Lee's protector of course, but to answer your question I don't think that Kenny or Luke are good alone as Clem's protector, with both of them however I believe they would make good guardians,Luke represents the kinder more caring side and Kenny represents the survivalist side that will do anything to survive

They're all okay. Clementine can take care of herself, like others said but I would prefer her in a group, and all the group members can take care of her. Like in the Season 1 group.
Ex: Lilly talking to Clementine. Larry telling Lee that if anything happens to Lilly or Clementine, then he better watch his ass. Chuck giving advice and candy for Clementine.
But if I had to choose one person... Probably Bonnie.

I'd have to say Luke. Kenny just doesn't seem stable, or he surely won't be after losing Sarita, which is bound to happen either way.
I know my opinion of liking Luke is not very popular, especially after chatting with GOUSTTTT and Giraffehat... they said they didn't really know Luke, which is very valid, but nonetheless, I think he's a good enough guy to take care of Clem. Though let's be honest... NO ONE can replace Lee, but I think Luke would do a decent enough job... he's more of a brother figure however, but meh, it don't matter.
Although, Bonnie had a very good motherly sort of care for Clementine. I'd definitely trust her to take care of Clem.
OR! Bonnie and Luke both, since i'm about 60% sure they are or will be a couple
I think that Clem needs less of a protector and more of a trainer. Someone who can teach her other survival skills that will keep her alive. Clementine has demonstrated that she can handle herself but sometimes get overwhelmed, mostly because of her small size and strength to properly handle the situation. Realistically, the best candidate to provide this, with the current survivors with Clem, is Jane.
Great job!
You expressed it so eloquently, I don't think I could've said it much better myself.
I will admit, I hated how Carlos treated Clementine in the truck, and I'm kinda surprised Kenny didn't say something about it to Carlos then and there.
She was in just as much trouble as the others were, perhaps even more so.
And for Carlos to say that, was not only deeply disrespectful to her, but it also insinuated that she was just a dumb kid, and that her opinion wasn't important.
Now I'm not saying that kids shouldn't mind themselves, especially around adults.
Adults deserve that kind of recognition and respect.
After all, we've lived longer and have experienced more than they have.
Nor am I saying that a person shouldn't just sit and listen to others.
Listening is one of the ways a person learns.
Plus, speaking when everyone else is upset, may just add to the frustration, so sometimes it is better to keep quiet and not say anything at all.
That's called being prudent.
It was more of the way Carlos said it, that bothered me.
If he had just respectfully asked her to be quiet, well then that's one thing.
But to say it how he did, and as I already described it above, that's another thing entirely.
And I also agree, about Kenny being Clementine's next guardian.
He treats her with confidence, dignity and respect, while still protecting her.
That how a MAN treats children.
By his actions, in particular towards Clementine, not to mention his age and life experience, I'd say Kenny is the best candidate.
Look at lengths he's gone to protect her already!
Luke hasn't done that.
While I think Luke's a good guy, I feel he lacks the experience to protect her.
Not to mention, possibly the maturity.
Kenny on the other hand, has not only more life experience, but also the experience of what it takes to be a dad.
And Kenny was more than just a father to Duck, but he was also a dad, which is clearly evident by all the time he gave toward him.
And on that note, anyone can be a father.
The world is full of dead-beat fathers.
It takes a MAN to be a dad.
And I know that for a fact.
My Grandfather, left my Grandma, my Dad and his 3 siblings, when my Dad was 5 years old, with absolutely nothing.
My Dad, basically grew up on the streets, cause his stepfather didn't want him around, and my Grandma was busting her ass to help provide for her children.
So my Dad grew up without a Dad, and therefore didn't have a good example of what it means to be one.
When I came around, my Dad stayed around for me.
Even when times were at their toughest, my Dad stayed around, and did the best he could, to be the best Dad he could be to me, even though he made mistakes with me, like any dad does with their kid.
That is what I call a real man!
And that's why I say: "Anyone can be a father. It takes a MAN to be a Dad."
Kenny. One thing I appreciate about his relationship with Clem is the fact that he sees her as more than just the little girl who shouldn't … morespeak when the "adults are talking." When others expressed doubts about whether or not Clem was capable enough to follow through with certain plans, Kenny was right there to back her up...or mostly volunteer her. Some might argue against volunteering an 11 year old to steal a walkie talkie from a dangerous group or risk getting caught by turning the PA on, but I remember from season 1 just how willing Clementine was to help in any way possible. She's bold, resourceful, and intelligent. Kenny sees all of that and has a lot of trust and faith in her. I respected that in my playthrough. I actually tried to play that way with Lee in season one. Protect Clem but treat her as though she's "alive," as Chuck so eloquently once said.
Luke also has a lot of faith in Clem. He's just not as proactive as Kenny....w… [view original content]
Concerning whom you're speaking of, aka Travis, just because "his dad was in special forces," doesn't mean he was.
And just his dad had that kind of training, doesn't mean " he knew what he was doing."
In general, people who know what they're doing, don't generally feel a need to say so.
What Travis was doing, in essence, was using bullying tactics, in order to try to be the head honcho.
While I'll admit Ben could be tough to like sometimes, sometimes it would've been better if he would've kept his damn mouth shut.
The classroom in Crawford proved that.
Exactly!! When Carlos said that to Clem, I literally just frowned and yelled "WHAT?!"
And then Clem just replied with, "Is that what this is?" I think Carlos is very very disrespectful to Clementine and that's just not how you treat the girl that does everything she can to help the group. I think Carlos just didn't see how useful Clem was and how much they really needed her with them, which is why I kind of dislike him.
Great job!

While Kenny and I (Lee) had our differences in Season 1, he was always there for Clem. Which is why my Clem sticks by him. He always puts his family's needs and safety first. Which may not be the best in a group setting but is great for Clementine who he definitely sees as family. He may be a bit of a hothead, but he listens and respects Clem's ideas. He trusts her and treats her like a mature individual whereas the others still see her as a child. He took a beating for her without hesitation. I trust him to look after Clem.
I don't feel like I could count on Luke to put Clem first and sacrifice everything for her. He's a nice guy to be around but Kenny is who I want by my side in a tough fight.
Soooo what you're saying is that only males are fit enough to take care of people?
Last time I checked, Christa kept Clem alive for 16 months. Even Lee didn't take care of her for that long. Point made.

Yeah that's true

its obviously garey busey
Nobody, Clementine IS the protector. And who should she protect? well Luke and Kenny are on top of the list, but let's not forgot Sarah and Nick

He just lost his second partner. (Or is going to). I'm pretty sure he's gonna be damn unstable.

And when He let Carver force him to strike his own daughter like that, that was the last straw.
Ben my homie dog, we pass the drinks around like fangirls.
Clementine.
Clementine has made it clear she can take care of herself
Kenny because he took the beating for her while Luke was sitting on the ground doing nothing...

Kenny:
1) He gave his eye so Carver wouldn't hurt Clementine
2) Can optionally come with you to save Clementine in Episode 4 of Season 1
3) Immediately says that Clementine is staying at the lodge when they are reunited
4) Trusts Clementine with anything
5) Clementine sees Kenny as more of a protector [Hug Kenny]
6) Complains more than enough times in Episode 3 of Season 2 when Troy isn't nice to Clementine
I think he's earned the title

Nate
Why does she need a protector she can handle herself fine
NO ONE WILL REPLACE LEE!
I'm in the same boat (hehe "boat") as the people that say she doesn't need a protector. She's more capable that half of the adults she's with.
If I were to pick it would be Kenny though.
No one, because Lee was too good, that he thought her how to survive without nursuring.
