Who is the more interesting protagonist?

Alright, simple question. Which one of these protagonists do you find more interesting to play as and why?

Lee, Clementine, or Bigby?

I know i'm probably gonna get some dislikes for posting this in the walking dead discussion, but I myself find Bigby the most interesting due to his whole past and how most people hate him, It makes getting people to trust you harder. Not only that when I play as Bigby for some reason I don't care how we get things done, I will pick the violent choice and not care even though I probably would care If I were playing as Lee or Clementine. Also..you know..the whole wolf thing..

I'm the most emotionally invested in Clementine.

    Bigby is the most interesting.

Lee was probably my favourite to play as overall.

  • Personally, I like Lee the best because you have to figure out his past for yourself.

  • I like Bigby the best I just love anything to do with wolves

  • I'm more emotionally invested in Clementine then the others so Clem

  • I find Clementine the most interesting as she is more vulnerable than Lee or Bigby. I'm more afraid of the situations I could get in.

  • I care for clem, but I find either lee or bigby most interesting so far, but clem still has room for character development so we'll see....

  • As mentioned quite a few times, I'm the most emotionally invested in Clementine. I find Lee and Bigby equally interesting considering their situation. Bigby is trying to make amends for his past, while Lee is trying to cope in a world without rules by finding hope, and taking the role of a guardian for Clementine.

And Bigby is my favorite character to play overall, for obvious reasons.

  • That's a bit of a tough choice. If I had to choose, I'd say Clementine. She's the only one with a clean slate. Lee had a controversial history of being a murder who now has a second chance. Similarly, Bigby is a fable who had to flee his homeland and now, along with the rest of the surviving fables, has a chance to start over. Both Lee and Bigby have a history where they can choose to be better than they were before, or stay true to their original sin. Clem is different because we are molding the foundation of what will be her morals as an adolescence, that will in turn define her into adulthood.

  • Clem's my favorite but Bigby and Lee are both the most interesting!

Clementine is the most interesting protagonist because you learn from what Lee has taught you about retaining your humanity and how to survive and you can teach Sarah and it'll affect your story in Season 2. Lee takes second place because of his history closely followed by Bigby for the same reason.

  • I'd say Lee, but that's probably 75% because I really like playing through the beginning of the outbreak... Same way Bigby (just started playing as it was on sale) is the least interesting to me, simply because of the setting, even though so far (episode 1) he's an interesting character.

It's more the conditions surrounding the protagonists that make them the most interesting.

  • I gotta say Bigby. But by a very narrow margin. In a close second I would put Lee. And in last place I'd say Clementine.

What I love about Bigby is that you have to prove to everyone and yourself, are you a good man, or are you still only something to be feared? As for Lee, he's just a general good guy, easily relatable, so there's just a lot to say about him. And Clementine? To me, she seems kind of...cold. Inexplicably cold. Now I understand that she's been through hell and back, but when I want to say things, she doesn't say them like I would. She says them, well, coldly. Now I understand that that doesn't really relate to how interesting her character is, but stuff like that is what makes me interested in certain characters.

Overall, Lee. He's the perfect all round character who can be a good guy as well as being pure badass.

Bigby is just great at being properly badass. He's the coolest of the the three.

Clementine is the character I care for most overall. Feel much more emotionally invested in her character. And in the long term, I want to play as her for more than one season.

  • Clementine I can just connect with on a personal level, which makes her interesting... Bigby is cool and strange... and Lee is the same way.

  • Clem ties with Bigby.
    Lee comes second.

  • I find Clem the most interesting of the three followed closely by Lee and then Bigby.

  • To repeat what's been said; as a character Clementine's probably my favorite of the three, while Bigby has the most creative setting to work with.

But as far as the actual role of protagonist goes, playing Lee remains the most satisfying experience for me. He was a likeable lead that felt the most naturally shaped by varying moralities and impactful choices, and a paternal figure in one of the most in-depth relationships I've seen in gaming.

  • Clementine. Most interesting, emotionally investing, and overall cool.

But Lee did have a voice that could melt butter though.

  • What more do you need to know about her? She was a kid that got separated from her family. They died. She found people to be with. Some of them died. She is now with other people. What more do you need to know about her. Her entire character was explained through walking dead season 1.

  • Clem is the most interesting. Which makes it all the more depressing that they haven't really done much with her in terms of shaping relationship dynamics with other characters.

  • Pre-apocalypse, school, more about her family.

For me Clementine is the most interesting protagonist and the character that i feel the most emotionally invested in.

I like Lee's background story and his redemption in saving Clementine and teaching her how to survive.

I think Bigby is also a interesting character but i prefer Lee and Clem.

  • I second this.

I'm the most emotionally invested in Clementine. Bigby is the most interesting. Lee was probably my favourite to play as overall.

    I liked Lee the most.
Merely from the fact that he was a grown man, and you got to see the world of TWD through his eyes.
Plus it was interesting the dialogue that him and Kenny shared, especially if they were best friends, ( like they were in my playthrough).

A lot of the things Kenny told Lee about his family, which you could tell were highly personal, was very intriguing.
And are not the kinds of things I could see Kenny, nor most people, opening up to an 11 year old about.

  • She was a little girl who went to school and had parents that loved her. She went to school. Her mom and dad were told what they were and their jobs. None of that is relevant to the story told.

  • Clementine.

  • I like Clementine the most; I care about her the most and overall I like her character the most.

  • Bigby is the most interesting, he's treated like shit because of his past...

But I'm more emotionally invested on Lee and Clem

  • I'm saying Clem, because what other non-white 11 year old girl in the zombie apocalypse that isn't annoying and you care about them do you get to play as?

  • How do I put this??? well for me, its like this:

Clementine: is more relatable. her reactions would be my reactions. If I was in zombie apocalypse that is how I would react to things.

Bigby: is more fantasy, like I have fondness for a good fantasy story. Bigby's story is a story I want to a read about.

Lee: well he is like a family member that I want to spend time with.

for me Clementine is interesting because her reactions would my reactions. That said, Bigby's story is like a good book. playing as him is like when you are tired but you don't want to put the book down to go to sleep, you want to know what happens next.

  • I find playing from Clem's perspective rather unique (in a good way, of course). It's very rare to play a serious game as a child, and it's specially rare to have it work. I'm really enjoying playing as Clem, which I never expected to happen, and I'm absolutely invested in her.

  • Bigby is the coolest out of all of them.

Lee is well rounded and very relatable.

Clem i am most emotionally invested in.

  • I like TWAU but I hate Bigby. He seems like just a brute to me, even when you choose the nicest option, he's still a jerk. The most interesting character for me is Lee. Because of his past and the fact that even though we know about the senator and his wife and the murder and everything, he seems so compassionate as a person. A true complex character-Bigby isn't complex to me. Clementine is really young. She is not uninteresting, she is just too young to have a fully developed persona (in a way-no offensive to anyone her age, I don't mean it in a bad way). She needs to be older to become really complex and interesting the way an adult or teenager would be.

  • Clementine, a child growing in the apocalypse is very interesting to me.
