I'm listening to bands that started the grunge movement when it was in the late 80's and pre-Nevermind. That kind of music culture was isolated from the rest of the pop-culture world. So basically Green River, Mudhoney, and Melvins
I'm currently listening to Megadeths 1990 album, Rust in Peace.
One of my favourite albums.
Song I'm listening to is Holy Wars... The Punishment Due. Classic metal.

Dawn Patrol is the shortest on the album but I love his unique vocals on the song.
My favorite's are Holy Wars, Hanger 18, Lucretia and Tornado of Souls. But all the tracks are great.
You got great taste in music buddy. Your clearly an Iron Maiden fan, love that band too. Megadeth and Mastodon are my two favourite bands at the minute. Have you heard any of Mastodons stuff?

Good taste in music! K-Dot is one of the best lyricists in the industry today and the production on his tracks is top notch.
I'm partial to m.a.a.d city, myself. I almost lost my shit in the middle of that song when the beat turns into old-school G-Funk and MC Eiht shows up out of nowhere. That shit was legendary.
All That I've Got is You by Ghostface Killah feat. Mary J. Blige. Few rappers in the 90's were ballsy enough to get away with writing a heartfelt ballad dedicated to his mommy. Ghost pulls it off, thanks in no small part to his storytelling ability. He creates a vivid picture of what it's like to grow up in poverty. Add Mary's sad, soulful voice and you have one of the most earnest and heartwarming songs in rap.
if we ever met in real life eddie i would totally grab us some lawn chairs, drink some beers, and just chill and listen to maiden all day on my back porch

That song would've been dope if 2-Chainz wasn't there to ruin it with his wack-ass rap verse.
Fucking fuck, man. Just stahp!
Being a saxophonist, this will suffice.
Okie dokes. To Telltale Talk, we go.

This is also one of my favorite videogame tracks ever.
Though I'm not a big fan of the Assassin's Creed storyline, AC:R's OST was brilliant.

I've heard them before but never really got into the band. I'll have to give them another listen.

Weezer
Sophie Ellis-Bextor
The entire Epic Rap Battles of History playlist
Epik high - Fan. I don't understand a single word but i can't stop listening to this song
