You've made a wonderful point.
With people like Carver, especially if they hold power over you, it's best not to antagonize them.
And a man Kenny's age should know better than to do that.
However, Carver might have beat him, regardless if Kenny cussed at him or not, just so could make an example out of him.
One reason I say that is, cause Carver finished his count-off, just as Kenny dropped the walki in his hand.
That might have been why Kenny cussed at him, cause Kenny may have realized that when Carver did that, he had no intention of not hurting anyone over the incident.
I know that's the impression I got!
However Kenny, even though I like him, has a smart mouth admittedly.
And people who have them, that's what often gets them into trouble.
I know cause it's happened to me, for that very reason.
And is why I'm working hard to control it.
I actually can't blame him for killing Carver. Even if he killed him violently, I couldn't blame him for snapping. Carver took out his eye. … moreI mean Kenny was being really stupid when he cursed at Carver, but Carver almost killed him as a response.. Personally, Kenny had every right to kill Carver the way he did.
Kenny killing Carver was humane in a technical way.
If he never did that, imagine all the people he would kill next? All the people that … morewould suffer at the hands of him, children even.
Just like the man himself says, "Killing one in order to save many is part of survival. It's one of the tough decisions that a weaker person couldn't make."
The 'weaker person' being Luke, sadly. So, in a way, Carver predicted his death... wow.
I simple gun shot to the head would've been enough instead of 2 knee caps and a head bash. In a way, Kenny proved he can be more brutal than Carver at that moment. Bring on the downvotes.
I Think carver disorved it. Kenny gave him back the pain he caused to others. About Carver -he wasnt really bad guy. I understand what he was saying. He wanted the strong to survive and weak to die, because everyone have to be strong to survive the world of zombies. Thought he pushed his belief over others knowing that someday it will come back at him. Once Kenny was ready to kill him Carver was ready cuz in that moment he was the weak one. Only thing that pulls my interest was when he said that Clem was just like him. O.O? Dont see her prisoning people XD
I just realized... if Kenny had just shot him, Carlos wouldn't of died. Sarah wouldn't have ran away, and that wouldn't have caused Sarita to get bit. GODDAMNIT, KENNY.

I meant to say thread.
And you're correct, it was not my conversation, and I in hindsight, should not have gotten involved.
And I apologiz… moree.
But I also respect him for standing by what he believes to be right, as doing so takes inner strength.
And also the fact that he apologised for getting ill-tempered.
And plus, everyone has their own opinion on something, whether people agree with it or not.
That's called individuality.
And after all, Kenny is only a videogame character.
Not a real person!
Even though I like his character, and will defend him and why I like him, I don't start calling people bigots and whatnot.
If I disagree with what they're saying, I'll do so, giving the reasons why, but still doing so in a civil and respectful manner.

In the beginning, Clementime calls Kenny a heathen.
But then you immediately respond with calling her a bigot.
That's a huge insult!
And I cannot blame someone for getting upset by that.
Clementime later commented that, "I've had time to cool down, and apologize for being a dickhead earlier."
That would encompass any ill remark made.
But yet, still stood by her original description.
And was willing to let things go.
You however, continued stirring the pot.
And that's when I chimed in, cause honestly there's no reason to keep doing so.
Just like Walt did with Kenny, Luke and Nick.
And now, you are getting rude with me.
I've been respectful towards you.
Never once cussing at you, or insulting you in some way!
I've tried to end things peacefully.
Even trying to change the subject.
But you keep harping on this!
If you cannot drop this, even after what I've tried to do to end this peacefully, then quite frankly, you're the one with the problem.

To me the question is more in the direction of "Would you say KENNY killing Carver was right?"
I still believe that Rebecca, while she did get to see it happen, had far more direct motivations to kill the man. Rape is a special kind of evil, after all. It could have provided her with a lot of deserved character development, and revenge for the apparently forced pregnancy in the apocalypse, and Alvin's fate.
Kenny's reasons, well... Eye for an eye in Walter's case, who knows how kind Johnny was... Getting beaten by Carver and losing his eye was result of him stealing the incriminating evidence from Clementine and taking the blame (railroaded to happen, of course. You can try to hand yourself in but it still happens)... The point is, he technically caused both of that drama himself. I would say "no disrespect to Kenny's character", but sadly I am still disappointed in how Kenny was hogging the attention in Episode 3 in general, so yeah.
Rebecca should have been the one. Kenny could have supported her vengeance (maybe giving the two some social bond of friendship, Kenny needs more interaction with the cabin group), but we must not forget that this is Season 2 here. A little Kenny fanservice is fine, as long as it does not sap the spotlight from the new characters. We know Kenny's story already, let us learn the stories of the newcomers.
Of course. NumNum seems quite angry with my remarks about Kenny's barbaric actions displayed quite promptly in the scene I referred to earlier. I hold no ill wills toward him/her, even though he/she obviously holds some towards me. I refuse to go any deeper discussing the definition of heathen, however. My definition was correct, as was theirs.
Now, he/she seems to be directing his/her attacks at you cause I've "got my hand up your ass?" I highly suspect he/she is only continuing this argument for attention, he/she will not get any from me any further than this post.

Killing someone is never the right thing to do, but in the situation they were in, letting Carver live would decrease their feel of safety. Though I do not like it, a more brutal way to kill Carver, would've been to do what Liam Neeson did in Taken, the first one.
Remember, he strapped that guy to a chair, drove long nails into his legs, and put jumper cables to them, that were connected to the buildings electric box?
That would be honorific way to die!
When Carver talked with her privately, his trying to influence her made sense.
After all, she was young, and children are easily influenced, and easily manipulated.

Let's say that the way they were escaping from was the north.
Carver's guards were shooting at the west, meaning they were on the the west side of the building.
Carver's guards wouldn't have chosen to shoot over there yet if Kenny had just shot them and they went. So, they would have had more time on their hands to get covered up and go.
So, Carver's guards would have been shooting when they probably just made it out of the herd.
Where do people get the idea that Carver raped Rebecca? I'm genuinely curious. Sure, she isn't subtle about hating his guts, but there are lots of women who end up hating people they have consensual sex with. Maybe I just missed the crucial bit of dialog, but I only got the impression that she just regrets sleeping with him.

Whether it was right or wrong is probably impossible to determine (or only possible on an individual moral basis), but it was definitely justified. Carver threatened their safety in a big way and already proved to be ruthless in his pursuit of what he wants, so they really never would have been safe with him still roaming around.
Whether it was justified to make him suffer before killing him...hm, who knows. I think a quick and clean shot to the head would have done the job just as well.
Because moments before he died, Carver looks at Rebecca and says, "Don't pretend you didn't enjoy every minute of it!"
Carver's words seem to suggest he raped her.
And that's when Kenny started beating on him with the crowbar.
And if it's that's what set Kenny off, hearing that, that may have been the last straw, so to speak.
After all rape is a heinous crime, and those who commit it, whether it be against a man, woman or child, deserve to die.
Even some guys in prison view rape as wrong, especially if it involves a child.
And Kenny seems to have a good sense of justice.
Not to say Kenny didn't have his own reasons for killing Carver.
But I have no doubt that Kenny would find the crime of rape highly repugnant.

Seems the group was making their way out the main entrance.
And that would be a place that would be possibly considered most vulnerable, and from that standpoint it makes sense Carver's men would be defending that position.

It also suggests that he knows she regrets cheating on Alvin and is simply rubbing it in while he can. Why else would she keep the fact that he may not be the father a secret? It's not like there's no other reason she would hate Carver. We see he's a brutal tyrant. Until she or some other character outright confirms it, I don't see any hard evidence to support that conclusion over her cheating on Alvin.

I was under the impression that Rebecca was originally with Carver, but then later left him for Alvin.
And that the baby in question, may perhaps be Alvin's, and not Carver's.
Especially since she was the one who seemed to be exceptionally afraid if Carver were to catch up with them.
I don't recall her ever implying that she cheated on Alvin with Carver.

You made more point very eloquently.
I'm impressed!
I agree, after the harm Carver did, not to mention how dangerous he was, killing him was indeed justified.
Whether or not Kenny's method was justified, I guess that'd be up for each individual to determine for themself.

Rebecca is married to Alvin. She slept with Carver. That's cheating on a marriage. True, we are never explicitly told that they were married before the apocalypse, but I'm willing to bet they were simply because that would be a big piece of info that would change the whole dynamic between the three characters. If your idea is true, then TTG has done a poor job of conveying that info to the player.

Carver wouldn't have stopped, he would have found you with the help of his sheep (his group) and then he would have mocked you for not finishing him off when you had the chance.
Meanwhile, Kenny's having little outbursts (Snapping at Sarita, planning to jump out of a truck at armed men), and then flat out caving Carver's head in with a crowbar and losing his shit. In the end, I agree that Kenny had to do it. Even if he did it in style... and with a lot of blood and brains splattered everywhere...
