They already made Luke too defined. I personally would have shot Carver on the spot, I don't want to play as the guy who advocated against such an action.
Second, I think we know a fair bit about Luke but if we're going with: we don't know anything about him, then shouldn't he be a suitable character to be playable as? I mean, we didn't "know no shit about" Lee the first time we played as him (except for a few minor things) and I think knowing nothing about a character in a decision based game is pretty fitting for a playable character since you choose what the character days and does.
Imo, I think he could be a suitable candidate for a season 3 playable character although I'd still love to keep playing as Clem.
I like Luke and all but no. In the end I wana play as someone who I know and Luke I know no shit about. If i really had to pick a character to play, I would like Jane.
That was different, Clementine was young and still somewhat oblivious of the world around her. With Lee being a strong influence for her, her mortality and perception on life can change to the player's choosing. I don't think Clementine will be able to be the same type of figure someone like Lee was to Clem, do you?
If there is a season three of this game, I think it should be rebooted in a new in a new part of the world with new characters. I'm not sure how far TTG can take their current course without the game getting stale. In some ways, its already getting there.
I wouldn't mind. His personality needs a bit of fleshing out, so making him the playable character would make sense. Personally, I'd like the series to keep going through Clementine's perspective, but I wouldn't mind controlling someone like Luke or Kenny (even though Kenny has more of a set personality type...).
I wouldn't not play it if he was the main. I'd just be pretty disappointed. The Walking Dead protagonists have all been progressively more diverse--first Lee, a black man, then Clem, a young black girl. It would be a couple steps backwards from that to make the 3rd Season PC a white dude, just like almost every other video game out there does.

Maybe a DLC. Not a season.

It's kinda questionable to take a character that had a perfectly well pre-established personality in S1 and squander it solely due to a timeskip, which basically screamed at the player, "hey guys, believe that some shit went down in the past 16 months. Take a look at Clem now!" We never saw what was arguably one of the most important times of Clem's character development. We're just led to assume that her character was hardened just for the sake of her being the main character and for the player to mold her personality the way they chose to.
Her character was hardened by Christa, quite logically as I feel.
Do you not think that playing a 16 month timeskip in which apparently nothing of import happened would be rather dull?
In season 1 to a certain extent we can mold her character the way we want to by the choices we make in front of her. In season 2 most people make the same kind of choice they did while as lee, so we can see that she has absorbed something from their time together, which also makes sense.
Yeah, I do.

Every episode would be half gameplay, half black screen. So no
Yeah,why not.
Wow there are a lot of Luke worshipers out here.
I mean clementine was an advocate of Larry getting smashed now we see what she has the option to do
Clementine is a good protagonist. If she were to die, Kenny would be the person I would want to play as, not Luke.
No, The Walking Dead Game is nothing without Clem.
A DLC playing Luke earlier in the apocalypse although, would be really cool
Not a bad idea, but I prefer playing as Clem.
First of all I agree with Flog's statement.

I would like to play as Luke, but only if Clem wasn't an option. She'd always be my first choice for playable character.

As a DLC, we should get a chance to play as all characters, but not luke for a season, even though i like him.
Yes
lmfao
I would still play it if Chet was the main
Ok all main characters. Kinda like 400 days.
But yes, hot dish night would be on the top of the charts.
I'd love to play as Chet, experience hot dish night in its true glory.
hell no
I want to play as Kenny if he survives Season 2. Also how do you know that Luke won't die before then
I wouldn't mind but I would still prefer Clem as the protagonist.
Chet isn't controversial though. I don't know of anyone who hates Chet ;P
I like Luke ,but no. IF there will be season3, I think I prefer playing as Clem or new character idk.

Accidentally double-posted.

Well, Telltale can always make him a different type of dialogue choices! Something like:
Listen here, Vanilla Ice!
I don't know what you're saying but I know it's bullshit!
That's fucking stupid.
[Hit him] (hitting is a valid option)
Nah.
Well then it looks like your clem was more affected by you sparing the brothers than you murdering Larry
How so?
If Rebecca survives i would like to play as her, I love her alpha female attitude. I think she could be a really cool character if done correctly.
That would be interesting!
Yeah, I do.

What Zeruis said
I might but only if clemintine was still in it
I wanna play as Kenny in Season 3.
Hey guys. I think we should play as Sarah next season. I mean, Clem is training her, just like Lee train Clem! Makes sense right?
I really hope you all know I'm joking... #ihopesarahburns
